I think the instructors did an amazing job. I personal would of like to of had the class in person instead of over zoom. I liked the field since it was smaller I had more hands on there will still be a lot for me to learn and skill to build. Thank you for this experience.

AHIT is engaging and helpful.
The live training expert was the most helpful but the online training pictures, textbook and videos were engaging and vastly helpful also.

I still haven’t finished my online…
I still haven’t finished my online training portion but overall very satisfied with the content, texts, has been really helpful , easy learning in general , videos and photos for me are what clarifies or helps me with some things that may go by without me fully understanding at that certain moment. For me, in my opinion what would be very helpful , would be more photos and examples of each material, product, components etc. I think that would be perfect, and I understand how troublesome that might be to organize so not something necessary I guess, I’m always looking up examples, vocab and matérias online which takes no time at all so that’s just something that came to mind. Other than that I have nothing to complain, on the contrary, overall very helpful , interesting and practical for me.

We understand your concerns and want to clarify the support you received. Our records show you first called on 11/3/25 with questions about course material. We immediately escalated your concerns to our Curriculum team so an instructor could follow up. You called back on 11/5/25, and while this was still within the typical two‑business‑day response timeframe, we asked Curriculum to handle your request as a rush. We also confirmed exactly where in the course the topics you mentioned were covered and shared that information with you. An instructor then followed up directly, and you can continue replying to them with any further questions. Please know we are not experiencing staffing issues — both our Customer Service and Curriculum teams responded within the expected timeframe, and we remain happy to assist you as needed.
Pointless
Hardly anything on the exam was covered. This is a cutthroat industry and you have to be deeply connected to be successful. It was a complete waste of time and money. Wish I had never pursued it..

Our records show that you did not complete the Exam Prep course, which is specifically designed to align with the licensing exam and help students prepare for the types of questions they’ll encounter. We do not recommend sitting for the licensing exam until the Exam Prep course has been fully completed.
Our pre-licensing courses are built to meet the state’s education requirements, while the Exam Prep is intended to bridge the gap between coursework and the actual licensing exam. We understand how discouraging it can be to feel unprepared, and we appreciate your feedback as we continue to improve the learning experience for our students.

I think they are an informative school, but...
I think they are an informative school but are rather outdated. Some of their video content definitely needs to be updated. I also feel they need to add a IR Thermal Imaging course to their curriculum. Personally, I believe that any home inspection w/o IR is pretty much worthless. IR is super important today in home inspection. AHIT is a good source of training for the NHIE but if you really want to be proficient as a home inspector I would recommend InterNachi. I ended up going through both AHIT and InterNachi curriculum and taking the InterNachi exam to become licensed in FL, as recommended by AHIT. They offer a wider variety of courses and are more up to date. If you compare the education and pricing InterNachi is a better value. Plus, all of the CE credits can be taken free as a member. I became certified in Pool & Spa, Wind Mitigation, and Building Science & IR Thermal Imaging thru InterNachi. And for $50 per month as a member they were free. That may be something AHIT may want to consider in the future.
