My experience with Alliance has been extremely disappointing.

The living conditions are terrible. Residents pay a lot of money for very small properties, yet the standard of accommodation and the overall living environment are unacceptable.

There are serious problems with antisocial behaviour in the building, including disturbances involving alcohol and drugs, which make life extremely stressful for families who simply want to live in peace and feel safe in their own homes.

My family and I have been living in these conditions for almost nine years. We have experienced ongoing problems with damp, mould, and disturbances from neighbours. These conditions have had a serious impact on our family, especially our daughter. Despite repeatedly asking for help, we feel that our concerns have not been dealt with adequately.

I would not recommend renting a property through Alliance based on my personal experience. I intend to share my experience with the relevant organisations, including the Housing Ombudsman, Citizens Advice, and local media, so that other people can make an informed decision before choosing to rent from this housing provider.

People deserve decent housing, a safe environment, and to be treated with respect. Paying rent should mean having a home that is fit to live in, not having to endure years of unacceptable conditions.

My experience has been amazing. Quick to sort out building issues, very helpful, professional and approachable on the phone. I'm very grateful indeed for the home and services offered by Alliance Homes.

Maintenace staff are also extremely professional,
polite and respectful.

Best landlords I've ever been lucky enough to have.

Three years have been trying to come to a conclusion with our damp and mould issues. We have a leasehold with alliance homes. Back and forth through multiple agents and departments- at least 4-5 surveyors out mostly due to miscommunication or simply a total loss of documents as yesterday I was informed!
We had yet another surveyor out back in July (I explained damp and mould not an issue in the summer) he said he would organise someone likely the following week to come and paint the kitchen ceiling with damp resistant paint and to contact them in October if I didn’t hear anything. It took three phone calls with a promise of a call back as lease team were not available (they did not) two emails and a request for escalation and complaint which was eventually responded to.
My phone call yesterday consisted of an apology as it seemed they had lost the report or documents, had no idea who came to the property in the summer and would yet again need to send another surveyor. I told them I would deal with it myself as I can’t go through this whole process again. Shocking company- no idea how they are able to continue operating. These are people’s homes they are dealing with!

If i could give Zero stars I would. For over 6 months we have had visits from a Plumber and a home MOT all of whom observed, measured and deemed that our Shower Cubicle issues need addressing. Having contacted Alliance myself several times to find out what was happening I was informed that we MAY be due an upgrade in 2029 !! I raised this as a Stage 1 complaint with Alliance and the Pen pushers that sit around desks agreed that it would NOT be changed. It has now been raised to a Stage 2 complaint and i have NO DOUBT the outcome will be the same. The door opening to the shower is 15 Inches wide. The step up to the shower is 10 inches. It is physically impossible to get in or out of the shower as you would expect to do so. Alliance also said that because we moved into the property as a Mutual Exchange we accepted the property and the condition it was in, despite us being told by the previous tenants that the shower was going to be "Looked at" by Alliance.
I have also contacted our MP regarding the situation so will update my review if or when i have one

Absolutely terrible and not fit for purpose. Their communication is almost non existent and, overall, the entire company come across as incompetent. Avoid them wherever possible at all costs.
