Τριτοκοσμικό e- banking. Σου μπλοκάρουν το λογαριασμό "για λόγους ασφαλείας" όποτε προσπαθείςνα κάνεις μεταφορά, πρέπει να τους πάρεις τηλέφωνο, σου λένε θα σε παρουν αυτοί, περιμένεις 5 ώρες να σε πάρουν πισω, σου κανουν ανάκριση με 100 ερωτήσεις και λένε οτι θα είναι οκ σε μερικές ώρες. Και φτου κι απ'την αρχή. Παιδιά αμα δε μπορείτε αφήστε το. Καντε το με τεφτερι όπως το 1990. Πάντως απο ασφάλεια είναι κορυφή. Ουτε εγώ δε μπορώ να παρω λεφτά απ'το λογαριασμό μου!

Absolutely terrible

( 1 ). e-banking is super slow sometimes it takes days for a transaction to show up. completely unreliable for people that do lot of transactions and businesses.

( 2 ) blocked purchases are super common with this bank especially when it is about crypto products.

( 3 ) Rude staff and a lot of sub-charges. It’s not logical for a bank in 2026 to charge extra for e statements.
I emptied my Alpha account and took my money to Revolut .

Schlechteste Bank von Griechenland

Inkompetent und unhöflich. Habe vor Jahren ein Schließfach gemietet, was ich aber nicht mehr brauche. Leider habe ich während eines Umzugs den Schlüssel verloren.
Man muss auch dazu sagen, dass man für alles einen Termin braucht, plötzlicher Besuch in einer Filiale wird nicht gerne gesehen. Und so habe ich einen Termin vereinbart, um das Problem zu lösen und das Schließfach zu kündigen! Termin auszumachen war nicht unkompliziert, online unmöglich und führte nur telefonisch zum Erfolg.
Ok…ich habe mir schon gedacht, dass es ein Problem sein wird, weil ich den Schlüssel verloren hatte, man teilte mir mit, um das Schließfach zu öffnen, braucht es einen Techniker und das kostet 124€.
Ok…Ich habe es bezahlt sofort und man teilte mir mit, dass man sich diese Tage meldet, weil ich persönlich dabei sein sollte bei der Öffnung des Schließfach.
Die Zeit verging und niemand meldete sich. Zwei Monate später, meldete sich die Alpha Bank ich sollte sofort zur Filiale kommen, wegen des Schließfach. Ok, ich dachte, endlich will man mir helfen, wunderte mich aber dass ich plötzlich kein Termin brauchte. Dann wusste ich warum, man wollte 90€ Miete für das Schließfach haben. Man hat versucht das Geld abzuheben von meinem Konto, aber ich nutze es nicht mehr, weil ich zu einer anderen Bank gewechselt habe.
Dann habe ich deutlich die Sachlage erklärt, dass ich zwei Monate auf diesen Techniker warte. Die Angestellte war unglaublich unhöflich und sarkastisch und verwies mich ständig nur auf das Geld, von dem Techniker wüsste sie nichts. Ich wurde sauer!!! Habe deutlich gemacht, dass ich jetzt gar nichts zahlen werde, und es nicht sein kann, dass ich zwei Monate nichts passiert ist, ich hatte auch meine Rechnung dabei. Erst war sie überrascht, aber sofort fing sie sich und drehte alles um, schließlich sei ich schuld, dass ich den Schlüssel verloren hätte, mein Fehler also, und es kann gute sein, dass es so lange dauert, da der Techniker aus Athen kommen würde. Haha…Ich habe kein Wort geglaubt, bin sicher, dass kein Techniker bestellt wurde, und man mich hinhalten will, damit ich immer schön die Miete bezahle. Aber das mache ich nicht mit…bin aufgestanden und und im streit aus der Filiale. Diese Bank will einem nicht helfen, sondern nur das Geld aus der Tasche ziehen, einfach nur unseriös. Werde erstmal eine email an die zentrale Schreiben, wenn das nicht hilft, brauche ich vielleicht sogar noch einen Anwalt.

Είχα την καλύτερη εξυπηρέτηση και εμπειρία σε κατάστημα τράπεζας.
Όπως αρμόζει να είναι ως προσ εμάς τους πελάτες της.
Πριν περίπου απο 1 μήνα κι ενώ ήταν κάτι επείγον και δεν είχα ραντεβού{μένω στην Θεσσαλονίκη] η Κα Καζάκου με εξυπηρέτησε με ευγένεια, αμεσότητα, σεβασμό και χαμόγελο η οποία όπωσ έμαθα αργότερα, είναι η διευθύντρια του καταστήματος και με παρέπεμψε στην συνέχεια στην Κα Νικολάκη στην εξυπηρέτηση πελατών, που επίσης ήταν ευγενέστατη και πολύ εξυπηρετικ
Τελείωσε άμεσα το αίτημα μας και θέλω να δώσω τα συγχαρητήρια μου και στις 2,να συνεχίσουν το έργο τους τόσο άριστα όπως το κάνουν.
Επίσης να υπενθυμίσω στην τράπεζα, να συνεχίσουν να διαλέγουν ανθρώπους ικανούς για την λειτουργία της τράπεζας κι όχι αυτοματοποιημένα συστήματα.

Alpha Bank hates you and they want you to know it.

If I could give minus-5 stars, that still wouldnt be enough to describe how terrible this Greek bank is. Customer service is non-existant, they hang up or redirect you and the constantly lie and give false information, they provide no service to customers abroad, if your account is locked for whatever reason they refuse to assist you in any way and they keep the client and the account funds "hostage." Forever.

The worst part is that they do all the aforementioned on purpose, including the employees; they are trained on purpose to follow a script, a list of policies and that is that. They dont care about anything, which is a usual strategy for every bank but Alpha Bank goes above and beyond to let you know that they hate you, they dont need or want you as a customer unless of course you have an account with cash at least in the high 6 figures.

The situation is absolutely hopeless. Do yourself a favor and dont use them. You will always hit a wall with Alpha Bank. Absolutely shameful establishment, horendous service, illegal practices, anti-consumer regime.

I often have to communicate with banks…

I often have to communicate with banks as part of my work, and I would like to highlight an issue I’ve experienced with Alpha Bank.

When a client is assigned a dedicated relationship manager due to having a significant account, the expectation is that this person will be available and responsive — at least within a reasonable timeframe (for example, within a week).

However, in practice, this is not the case. The manager is rarely reachable by phone, emails are sometimes answered once a month, and in many situations there is no real assistance provided. Instead, clients are often redirected to call the general support line, which defeats the purpose of having a dedicated contact.

This raises a simple question: what is the actual value of having a relationship manager if the service does not function in practice?

I believe this is an area that needs significant improvement, especially for clients who are supposed to receive a higher level of service.

Today i have my phone connection off…

Today i have my phone connection off because they told me that for a sistimacal false in their online transaction i will see 137 euro in my account after 25 days even if my monthly salary is 900 euro. So for a systemic reason of the bank i don't have my mobile connection today. Is my salary bank. The worst bank ever

NO ACCESS TO OUR ACCOUNT!!! CAN NO LONGER RECEIVE MY ALPHA CODE MESSAGES OUTSIDE GREECE

IT IS NOW 14 DAYS WE ARE UNABLE TO RECEIVE MY ALPHA CODE MESSAGES IN CANADA!!! When contacting Customer Support, agents either hang up after a few minutes or suggest we contact our local cell provider, even though we can receive other messages from Greece. When you ask to speak to someone in charge, they loop your call to another agent, and after wasting +20mins on hold, they hang up! WE ARE HELD HOSTAGE TO UNLAWFUL PRACTICES RESTRICTING ACCESS TO OUR FUNDS. There is no option to receive these codes by email, like all banks in Canada. What kind of country can possibly allow such disgraceful practices? After 34 years, we plan on transferring everything to another bank as soon as we regain access. This is the 3rd time this has happened in the span of 5 years.

Η Μηχανογράφιση πάσχει. Αν κάνεις το "λάθος' & κατεβάσεις το app στο κινητό έστω και αν το απεγκαταστήσεις έμπλεξες!!! Λές και έχεις ποινικό μητρώο άσε που είναι η χαρά του hacher όλα στο κινητό. Δεν δέχομαι τα σχόλια ότι το προσωπικό δεν ευγενικό. Αλλά τι να κάνουν οι άνθρωποι με τέτοιο software? Περιμένεις μετά & 48 ώρες για έλεγχο. Αν είναι δυνατόν.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever! I opened an account and asked for a card on 12th of December 2025. My account was opened instantly however It is 18th of January 2026 and i still don''t have the card! I can not access my money nor make any payments as to create an ebanking account requires a card!! I have called multiple times and all they ever say is "your card is on the way". Stay away from this bank. They are thiefs who only care about getting you to open an account.

Terrible

Terrible.i am a gold client, my experiences with my advisors not just bad but a loss if thousands of euros... ignorance at frightening levels , and several lies

The complaints department just below awful. They send you a OR generic reply, or just ignored the issue completely or twist things to appear right.i complained about the lies of my latest advisor j provided written evidence, plus Val's are recorded, nothing. They support each other in this corrupt machine
It took me months once to make them admit their error and give me my money. Their point is always wrong to prove that no matter what they are right and when they cannot they just ignore you
After so many errors I lost all trust years ago . But as I have long term investments j cannot leave ..

Even now they sent me a new credit card while my current one expires in 2 years I asked why especially as I brought I cannot use it or access it and they told me yes it's a replacement of the new card, that's Normal call us to activate your card .
. even a robot would answer better

I had explained I am Abroad, I have a valid card until 8/2028.
Even that simple thing they cannot bother to address.

bad Greek bank

έχω κάνει αμφισβήτηση συναλλαγής από της 20/11 μου στείλανε SMS και ακόμα μαθαίνω την εξέλιξη ,χρεώσεις για έκδοση χρεωστικής κάρτας και χρέωση με το μήνα για να διατηρείς λογαριασμό.

12/02 μπήκε η επιστροφή στον λογαριασμό μου , χωρίς ενημέρωση sms , email

20/02 είρθε επιστολή στην διεύθυνση μού , δεν ήταν συστημένη ,ότι η επιστροφή χτημάτων είναι προσωρινή και θα ξόανα ενημερώσουν και έχουν το email μου.

συνδέει τους νέους λογαριασμούς με χρέωση με το μήνα.

Alpha bank is the most useless bank in…

Alpha bank is the most useless bank in Greece. How can a refund take over a month to reflect on my salary account. And when I finally call them after over a month, the bank is telling me that they can’t find any transaction, 2 weeks after confirming that they could see the transaction and told me it’s expected date. I advise anyone planning on moving to Greece to stay away from this bank.

Η τράπεζα συνεχίζει και μου αποστέλνει προπληρωμένες κάρτες ενώ έχω επανειλημμένα ζητήσει να μην αποσταλλεί νέα κάρτα μέσα από το webbanking. Αυτή τη στιγμή έχω 3 (!) προπληρωμένες κάρτες. Ίσως είναι εύκολο να επανεκδοθεί, επειδή η κάρτα αφορά κοινωνικά επιδόματα, πιθανόν να είναι και ο λόγος που χρηματοδοτείται η επανέκδοσή της από το Ταμείο Ανάκαμψης όπως φαίνεται στο ένθετο που επισυνάπτεται με αυτήν. Επίσης στο σπίτι που κατοικώ συνεχίζει και αποστέλνει αλληλογραφία για τον τραπεζικό λογαριασμό παλαιού ένοικου και πελάτη της ο οποίος δεν βρίσκεται στη ζωή, ενώ το πρόσωπο ήταν δημόσιο και γνωστό στην τοπική κοινωνία και τους έχω ενημερώσει προσωπικά πολλές φορές.

Terribile.

Alpha bank è la peggiore banca che esista.

Cominciamo: Chiedo appuntamento per aprire un conto, in inglese, e mi viene lasciato un messaggio in segreteria telefonica (che non ho ascoltato in quanto ha un costo) in cui mi veniva chiesto se volessi un appuntamento in lingua inglese o greca. Nel 2025, non sono capaci di mandare una mail, mandano i messaggi in segreteria telefonica.

Arrivo in filiale, e l'unica cosa buona che ho trovato è stata l'operatore, a cui consiglio di licenziarsi e cercare di meglio perché era davvero l'unico capace di lavorare in quel posto di fannulloni e imbroglioni.

Le carte ordinate vengono perse una prima volta, dunque, dopo un mese di attesa, richiedo all'indolente servizio clienti, che risponde dopo minimo 15 minuti di attesa, di inviarmele in filiale, e finalmente vado a ritirarLe.
Tempo due settimane, e le carte magicamente perse arrivano, ormai inutilmente, al mio indirizzo.

Una volta aperto il conto, ecco i misteri, devi pagare tutto, un semplice attestato, costa 5€, ricevere le notifiche? 6€.

Dopo un mese di servizio schifoso in cui paghi anche l'aria che respiri senza avere mezzo vantaggio in cambio, chiuderò il conto per non vedervi mai più.

In greco si può definirvi ΑΠΑΤΕΏΝΕΣ.
