It’s a constant battle with Amazon

It’s a constant battle with Amazon. Packages do not arrive on time and their customer service reps are rude and unhelpful. Literally had one make me cry today and I don’t cry often.
I’ve worked customer service for 14 years, what they provide is not customer service.
They’ve had a long time to adjust to the pandemic, which is just their excuse because they had bad service before the pandemic. They should have better systems in place now, plenty of other companies are fulfilling their promises while Amazon seems to think they can continue to get away with subpar service. They constantly try to pass the blame off onto anyone other than themselves.
At this point there are too many instances of bad service to write about them all individually.
If you have the ability to order a product from anywhere else choose it, Amazon is untrustworthy and doesn’t deserve your business. For example, One big company has a card that is free to get (debit or credit) gives 5% off, free 2 day shipping (for real), extra time for returns and probably more that I’m forgetting. So when there’s anything I need now I order from them if they have it instead because they provide the service they promise.
We pay for prime and it’s really not been worth it.

Amazon? How about Scamazon!

In the last few weeks I made three purchases and had received one replacement item, due to the original item not functioning correctly (now appears to be constructed with counterfeit chips as I've learned after the fact.) I've returned two of the items, as well as the replacement, which actually functioned worse than the item it was replacing. Apparently Amazon sellers have gone down hill. Maybe a change in name to Scamazon is in order.

Amazingly. One of the items was "sold and shipped" by Amazon themselves. A set of "USB Speakers." The listing itself states this:

"About this item
Single USB cable for computers and laptops | enjoy a hassle-free Audio experience with a single USB cable without the need for a power adapter "

Yeah. Well. Not what it leads one to believe. These speakers are simply powered through a USB connector. They still have a (second wired) male connector for the audio input, which needs to be connected to an audio-out jack on the laptop (or desktop). Pretty damn misleading! Like I said. This is a AMAZON sold item. Not a third party seller.

Goodbye Amazon. My money spends just fine elsewhere.

UPDATE!

So Amazon is now effectively screwing me out of a $10 gift card they gave me for applying for Amazon Credit, when I made the original purchase. Because. somehow. When you return a crap item, sold by a lying seller, you deserve to be screwed further by Amazon!

I posted a honest review and Amazon deleted it my issue was with blingstore i ordered bike patches and they never sent them so they said would resend well never did so i said just refund my money and amazon said it was past the refund time period so i posted this and they deleted it and gave me no help

Liars

Amazon has a hard time understanding what 'pre-order' means. They sold my pre-ordered item, a Transformers Earthrise Dirge and Ramjet exclusive.One I'd placed a month before it was released. I receive this e-mail on the would-be release date asking if I still want it. Of course I want it, as I replied as such.

I then took my concerns to customer service via chat. The first representative was less than honest. At first she claimed that the item never released, then later made the comment that they simply sold out. At that point I asked for someone who could further assist me, as she clearly either wasn't knowledgeable or just wasn't forthright in her reasons why my item wasn't sent.

A gentleman named Elmon took over, and we proceeded to find out when this item would be back in stock. He assured me that there would be another shipment by November. He was friendly, and at the time his information was welcome.

I also buy items from a site that specializes in selling Transformers so when I saw these items going for almost twice as much on that site, as well as on Ebay for 3x that amount I was very put off. Imagine being told that they never arrived (at Amazon), knowing they're an exclusive but then seeing them on third-party sites.
So obviously they shipped them out to others. At which point I contacted them again via chat. A very nice lady by the name of Neha once again assured me that there would be more and that my order would be prioritized. Perhaps she was misinformed or simply trying to be courteous.

Not three days later I get an e-mail stating they'd canceled my pre-order. To my knowledge, the only reason for this should be lack of funds once the order is attempting to be shipped. This is definitely not the case.

One last-ditch effort to find out what happened. I ended up chatting with someone named Charika who made excuse after excuse and came off as being very condescending, even sending me a lecture in a message attached to my request to close my account.

Because of past issues with Amazon I instructed them to send me a link to close my account. They obviously have no idea how to fulfill their orders and they lie on top of that.

So, they either overshot the pre-orders (per usual) and mine got left behind or my order went to someone else. Then they made excuses. I wouldn't be surprised if someone at Amazon is buying them or selling them under the table. Not only are they being sold on Ebay, but the fact you have third-party sellers on Amazon trying to sell them for $175, and each time I attempted to find out what's going on they suggested I buy these overpriced ones.

And now they're doing the same to those who've attempted to buy the Series X. Something really fishy is going on at Amazon. Maybe stop worrying about censoring anime and do your jobs in an honest and ethical manner. Stop making excuses, stop lying. This is not the Amazon I once knew that we went to to find deals, hard-to-find items, etc. Now it's just another place for scalpers and the customer service is anything but.

Great shipping

I've been using Amzon for more than 7 years and seems I'll continue. No delays at all! And I definitey can find there anything I need to buy.

Amazon has allowed it's sellers to scam…

Amazon has allowed it's sellers to scam me out of hundreds and then insist they have no way of refunding my money for WEEKS. "Purimadevi", claims they have no way of refunding me over $200 when in fact they do. I will never do business with them again and I advise everyone else not to as well.

Wrong Porch

September 14th 2020 Amazon said they delivered my package. They sent a picture of it on a porch. NOT my porch.
I have no idea where this porch is with my package on it. I live in a very nice 55+ age group mobile home community and all the homes clearly display their lot numbers. AMAZON: Tell your drivers to triple check the label and house number so they match up. It’s not rocket science.

Seemingly questionable practices during a pandemic...

Like many of the others here, I used to really like using Amazon. Unfortunately, that's changed the last few years as service and operating practices have declined with the most recent incident having to do with them charging significantly above retail on stereo components. When I first approached them, I thought they'd made a simple pricing mistake; however, after chatting with three different customer service reps, I'm getting the impression that they mark up prices whenever supply is short. What was really irritating was that they deleted the chat records once it became clear what was going on (this happened three times). It seems pretty clear that they don't want any written records when things don't go quite as they were expecting in a chat.

USED to love Amazon

USED to love Amazon, for over 10 years even, until they didn't love me back when I had ONE legitimate issue in ALL that time. Someone hacked into one of my "Amazon-associated devices" as they said yet they won't tell me which one nor will they tell me the IP address either of course. The fraudster bought over $1,000 worth of equipment using my credit card on file and because the order was made from one of my devices, Amazon says it's a LEGITIMATE order that I AM RESPONSIBLE for paying!!! WOW!! Of course I called my credit card company to dispute this right away and as soon as they took the funds back from Amazon, only then did Amazon even respond to me about the issue. And the response? A DEMAND letter which they now email me every day saying to let them know which of the cards on file that I'd like MY purchase billed to and saying they have closed the account until I pay for MY fraudulent charge!!! I even got a police incident number for the fraudulent order just to help prove my case that I DID NOT PLACE this order and NEVER received the merchandise! It wasn't even shipped to an address I've ever heard of!!! So, if this ever happens to you, might as well kiss your Amazon access goodbye since they will hold it hostage until you pay for YOUR fraud. In their eyes, if it's on your device=you made the order. Unbelievable and a new low for money-hungry Amazon- they obviously don't value the HUMANS behind the customer accounts AT ALL.

When we complain we SHOULD ALWAYS GET GREAT results !!

Great company but not everything is NOT as good as it should be every year the annual or monthly membership continues to go up without any forewarning and that is not right or fair to anyone that has a membership with this company! Also when watching a prime movie you do not always get a warning that a movie may not be suitable for younger audiences or Christian audiences as the case MAY BE AT TIMES!

I do like Amazon but we are paying a…

I do like Amazon but we are paying a lot for fast shipping. I wish there was another option. I almost never need next day or 2 day shipping. For a lesser fee, I would be happy with same week shipping. Just give us the option. I like how easy it is to return an item. The only thing for me is that Amazon is making a huge profit on Prime and the other services tied into it. I tried the Kindle book service but there were a lot of books that weren't available through it. And, it is an extra charge on top of Prime. Prime works well but I believe we are being charged twice the actual cost of shipping. If you notice that through Prime, the cost is usually more and then you pay the yearly or monthly fee. Now, if all the services, such as audible, kindle, music, etc were actually free with Prime, it would be a superior offer.

I use Amazon.com quite a bit and am always happy with their service. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the service has been incredibly slow. But so is everything else. I highly recommend Amazon.com to my friends.
