I was a little apprehensive as to what cataract surgery involved but from the initial appraisal to the postoperative review I had every confidence in Mr Anderson. The surgery itself was painless. I now have near 20/20 vision. I couldn’t be more pleased and have no hesitation in recommending the services of Anderson Eye Care.

Helpful friendly staff from start to finish. Mr Anderson is the best, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my eyes! Efficient service. No waiting. And I can see again. Throughly recommend.

Everything was well organised, I went to Nuffield Private Hospital for both eyes to have RLE and all the staff were very friendly and helpful prior to the procedure. I was not worried about being awake during this as my eyes were numbed with drops. I didn’t feel a thing and was able to talk to Mr Anderson and his team during the procedure . It didn’t feel like an operation, the first eye was done in 8 minutes, I was told! Second presumably the same . Afterwards I wore sunglasses as everything was very bright. Take someone with you if you have both eyes done. Armed with lots of eye drops for the next 4 weeks, I flew home the same day of the procedure. The following day when the brightness was not so noticeable and calmed down I could read my phone without glasses and though my eyes needed to take a bit of time to adjust , it was an amazing transition. It is now 4 weeks and two weeks ago I had a follow up appointment and was told I had 20:20 vision ! It was amazing and well worth the cost . I would recommend this procedure to anyone who wishes to drop wearing glasses as it also lasts for life .

I had lens replacement surgery with Dr. Anderson at the Nuffield in Chandlers Ford two weeks ago and I’m thrilled with the results. Staff were professional, surgery was 15 min and painless, and recovery was way easier than I expected. Best decision I’ve made.

After doing some research on lens replacement surgery with some very large companies on Trustpilot, the results and reviews were not good. This left me disappointed and feeling that I would have to continue with a lifetime of contact lenses for which I have worn already for 35 years. I was then personally recommended to Mr Anderson at Anderson Eye Care. I had very bad eyes with a high myopia of -11. After our consultation, I decided to have both eyes done at the same time under general anaesthetic as I was very nervous. I had refractive cataract surgery with extended depth of focus lens implants. Mr Anderson and the team at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital could not have done more for me. I can assure you; you will be in good hands. Post surgery, no pain and was on a course of eye drops for 4 weeks. My eyes are now fully healed and I now have effectively 20/20 vision and my eye strength is basically 0.25 - 0.5. Unbelievable and no glasses needed either. This has changed my life. Thank you so much Mr Anderson.

Mr Anderson's incredible expertise and knowledge gave me the confidence to go thorough lens replacement treatment due to early cataract issues. The results are astonishing. I can see clearly and sharply the beautiful coloured world around me and I feel more balanced. Thank you.

Had my in-depth initial assessment with Mr Anderson and was booked a few weeks later for the removal of my cataracts. It was a momentous moment after the operation to be able to see. The staff were polite and courteous and helpful and the operation was quick and the aftercare was amazing. Mr Anderson is amazing his knowledge is never ending and he can relate to your individual needs. I felt ant ease at all times and assured I was under the best care at all times. It is the best decision I ever made under the care of the best.

All fears allayed from the off. Lens optioned fully discussed and final choice left with patient. Procedure fully explained, responded to my concerns with regard to local for eye surgery and a general was used. Spoke with Mr Anderson and Anaesthetist prior to procedure and pre and post procedure care was exemplary

My experience with Anderson Eye Care was very good. Mr Anderson was charming and helpful and the Nuffield Wessex hospital was excellent and all the staff were lovely. The end result from my cataract procedure was amazing and I now have perfect vision and no longer need glasses.
It was a bit of a nuisance and added expense to have to leave Jersey for the procedure but the end result outweighed the inconvenience.
One small thing that would have been helpful would have been to have had a bit more information on the procedure and exactly what was being put in my eyes. I did a fair amount of research myself to find out more about it and I learnt a lot from the internet. However, there might be some patients who are totally unprepared or may not understand what is involved.
My overall experience was wonderful and my thanks go to Mr Anderson and his team. My new vision is life changing.

After years of struggling with reading glasses and not getting on with varifocals, I considered the option of lens replacement.
David Anderson was highly recommended by a family friend, who is a retired ophthalmic surgeon, so I knew I was in expert hands.
David listened to my issues and daily lifestyle and offered the best solution so that I would be free of glasses. He has a lovely calm and friendly manner, and knowing he's extremely knowledgeable and experienced put me at ease.
Having said that, I was extremely nervous about the procedure and initially thought I would need sedation, but as the date approached I changed my mind and I'm pleased I did, as it was completely painless with just the drops and very quick. I had both eyes done at the same time, yet I was able to walk out of the hospital an hour later.
I'm now delighted with my new vision, and haven't picked up a pair of glasses since, apart from my sunglasses.
If you're considering lens replacement I highly recommend David Anderson and his team.

Mr Anderson and all the staff were personable and professional which leads to a calm environment and confidence emanates from that. Everything was explained before it was carried out and there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The facilities were modern and clean.
The procedure was quick (about 15-20mins/eye) and completely pain free.

All your well-wishers need an update, and you send them a text. Yesterday, texting required +4.5 prescription glasses now it needs no glasses and it’s only an hour after the procedure.

From your room back to your room is less than 45 minutes. Less than an hour later and you are going home.
Before during and after the operation, the pain score on a scale of 1 to 5 was zero.
The most surprising thing was that you can always see. Only the light he has you focusing on, but you can see it.
Another surprising thing was I could blink. Obviously, I could not blink the eye being operated on, but my mind thought I did and there was no discomfort.

The whole team is well practiced in making it stress free and I felt pampered throughout.

If you are going to do it eventually then do it sooner rather than later you will not regret it.

I was extremely nervous about having my double cateract/lense replacement surgery but Mr Anderson was recommended to me because of his empathy and understanding of the difficulties of being highly myopic and from our first consultation I was not disappointed.
The level of care and understanding was exceptional and Mr Anderson took the time to listen to my concerns and then explain how my particular issues could be addressed. He was straight forward, clear and reassuring.
My vision after the procedures has been significantly improved and the whole process has been life changing with a dramatic reduction in my vision prescription.

The unexpected bonus was restoring my balance to that of my youth. I had put my increasing doderiness down to age but when I went for a walk on Day 3 after the op I found that my old surefootedness had returned. This was also reflected in my driving, I now know exactly where the car is on the road and my confidence in driving accurately day and night, has returned.
