We used this company to do a full survey on an old cottage we are buying. They were really helpful every step of the way. From booking it in to carrying out the survey it was great customer service. The guy called Lee who did our survey was very knowledgeable and helpful and we spoke several times. A good comprehensive survey with lots of detail and recommendations for work needed. Can’t fault them.

With our RICS Home Survey - Level 3 I have renegotiated the property I am buying down by £7000 to contribute to the remediation costs highlighted.

Prior to the surveyor (Lee) arranging access via the estate agent I mentioned a few specific concerns I had after my own property visit. These were noted by Hannah in the office and Lee then paid extra attention to these areas whilst on site.

Lee completed the inspection on the date specified, and although there was a minor delay in the report coming back to us (1 day) it really wasn’t a problem and was happy considering the detail included in the report.

Overall a great experience at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

Report was back after only 1 week and were happy to chat with me and give me his opinion (getting opinion from the expert is always amazing) and suggestions of what is more important and how to deal with it. I cannot recommend Andrew James Property Surveyors highly enough. We urgently needed a Help to Buy valuation report after being unexpectedly let down by our solicitors at the very last minute, just as we were ready to complete the process and secure a completion date.

I contacted Andrew James on Friday, and to my amazement, Andrew came out the very next day (Saturday) to carry out the valuation. Even more impressively, we received the completed report first thing Monday morning!

This company runs a great service. I'm buying an old property and had a level 3 survey carried out by Andrew. When he'd finished- after spending 3 hours at the property -he rang to give me a run down of his findings and then compiled a very comprehensive report that I received a week later. It laid out areas of concern, next steps and actions for our solicitor. Andrew also spoke to me at some length over the phone talking me through some of the issues with very helpful and practical advice. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this company.
