I ordered the silver ring with my partners ashes on 17th September and when I came it looked lovely. However in less than a month of wearing it, the silver has discolored and looks like the silver is wearing off. This is not what I expect having paid £225. Its not a cheap ring but it now very much looks like one.
I reached out to the company and this is what they said:
Your ring is made from genuine sterling silver, which is a precious metal that naturally tarnishes when exposed to moisture, air, perfumes, lotions, and other everyday products. This can cause the silver to darken or develop black discolouration. It is a natural characteristic of sterling silver and does not necessarily mean that the metal is peeling or that the ring is of poor quality.

Although sterling silver can be durable, it does require a bit of care to maintain its appearance. We recommend removing the ring when bathing, swimming, cleaning, or applying lotions and perfumes, and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture. Gently polishing it with a soft silver-polishing cloth can also help restore its shine.

We appreciate that you want to wear your ring regularly, especially given its sentimental significance, and we hope this advice helps you care for it and enjoy wearing it for years to come.
I emailed back and said I was not happy with this response. As a precious ring to me, I want to wear it all of the time and given that I only wear silver jewelry without ever having to remove it, I have never experienced anything like this. I can tell by their response that there will be no compensation or acceptance that this is a substandard product and I can see by all their responses to other customers dissatisfaction that all they do it justify their poor products. I will be contacting trading standards as this is not the standard expected from such an expensive ring.

Got my daughter the angel wing self fill ashes ring for her nana who recently passed away wow she’s stunning. Not flimsy it’s chunky and Althought I paid for the gift option it already is a beautiful box with beautiful words and a little accessory kit to fill, such a touching sentimental gift thankyou so very much delivery quick also
