Send you a terms and condition form that you have to agree to on the spot involving disgusting hidden prices. Charged me over a grand for a gas appliance check and and certificate.

Avoid like the plague and find someone local.

These guys are absolute scammers. Their entire business model hinges on "how do I get this guy out of my house".

The website said no hidden fees. This is a complete lie.
I called up and was asked only for my problem and address. The lady said someone would be over in 90 minutes . (Keep that in mind for later in the story)

Guy comes over and checks plumbing and suggests there might be a solidified block in our system.
Quote comes in: 347 PER HOUR plus a £79 call out fee (somewhat understandable) Plus a service charge. "0.2 of the bill (decimal)". That's 20% by the way. Sounds like a hidden fee.

So I say that is quite high no? He calls up his agency and they say £350 flat rate. So from £347 PER HOUR, we go to £350 flat rate. That is a significant discount. Almost like the first number is entirely made up.

So I say £200 or nothing. He says "that's the lowest we can go". He also says "no one is gonna do this for less than £300" (keep that in mind as well". So I decide to take the loss and pay the call out so he can get out of my house.

He then informs me of two extra charges, VAT and BLACK WALL TUNNEL FEE for travelling through the black wall tunnel.

I point to the bit on his website saying NO HIDDEN FEES. He tells me I would have been told about this. I was not.

I cough up the payment to this guy just to get him out of my house. As he leaves he says "I'll do it for 180 off the books". So someone would do it for less than 300. Great.

So that's my experience. Next time ask your neighbours and go for plumbers who are certified.

SCAM company! Avoid at all cost! Charged us £1000 for 30mins of work fixing a very simple issue. Avoid avoid!!

Do not use this company. I called them in an emergency so expected to pay a premium, but ended up feeling totally ripped off. The call out fee was £79. Before the plumber starts to identify the problem, you have to respond to an email that is sent confirming the hourly rate (£328) and a line underneath, admin fee written as 0.2 (decimal) of total cost. With water running through my ceiling from the toilet, I didn’t actually note the significance of the cleverly “hidden” 20% admin fee, recorded as 0.2
(decimal) Instead, I asked how long the job would take. I was told an hour - I was very conscious of the clock ticking and note that even if they go one minute over the hour, you will be charged for another full hour. I noticed on the invoice that the plumber had obviously recorded that he had arrived at 4.17 pm - in hindsight, they do not factor in the time that you have to wait before the work starts as you need to sign the email that is sent, which ended up in my junk email. Once the job was done, an invoice was sent through which you need to pay before the plumber leaves. The cost was ridiculous- nearly £700, I thought it was an error and that I had been charged for 2 hours and then saw the admin fee of nearly £100 - I asked what that related to and was told it was to cover the cost of the call to the company and the emails!! I was advised to call the company to discuss. The phone was not answered and so the plumber called from his phone so that I could speak to them. The call was on speaker phone - the women was INCREDIBLY rude. I said that the only thing I could do would be to leave a negative review, at which point she said they would charge me for an extra hour! The poor plumber, very young and obviously not in a position to challenge the company.

I will be taking this to the watchdog and trading standards.

Jimmy and asap heating are just fantastic. Super friendly, always on time and excellent work and a highly competitive rate. Delight I have this as my regular engineer. It reassuring to have some so good as your regular. Cannot recommend ASAP heating enough. Best I have ever had.

Do not use these people they are scammers!!!!
I had water leaking from my loft into my kitchen, I called them to come out, they sent an engineer who asked me to respond to an email giving them the go ahead, unknown to me they were attempting to charge me £379 an hour!!! As soon as I saw their hourly rate I asked the engineer to stop what he was doing, I called the company and cancelled the order, these people need to be investigated by the trading standards as they are trying to extort vulnerable or unsuspecting people.

DO NOT USE.

Total scam. Will con you into accepting aggressive pricing structure through unclear terms document.

Person who subsequently came to fix work after said he didn’t think they’d even sent a plumber.

I called them about a leak in my toilet. It was a small leak, cost almost £500.00. I don't know what the plumber did it lasted for 3 days now I have a flooded bathroom. This company is a Scam

Pressured into accepting an email that accepts the work however the price that was agreed on was completely different to the final price of over £500 for 10 mins of work unblocking a pipe. apparently the hourly rate is over 400 (we found out after) DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They were completely rude on the phone aswell and wouldn’t take accountability for the scam.

Horrendous company. Charged us £609 to silicone a leaky tap, that was all. A real plumber went in the same day and explained that the previous guys (Asap 24/7 plumbers) had no idea what they were doing. DO NOT USE, DO NOT CALL, NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. COMPLETE SCAM ARTISTS, TAKING ADVANTAGE AND DOING NO WORK.

We were told by water provider a leak somewhere in the house and as they couldn’t get to us for ten days to check outside we called plumber to check inside pipes. Although the plumber did turn up within the hour as promised and we expected a higher charge for that degree of urgency, the hourly rate then quoted to proceed (without VAT-we had to check) was steep, and then the fix itself took very little time with a small piece from a larger kit (rest he didn’t leave). Initially then charged two hundred quid admin in addition which they immediately took off when we challenged and threatened to escalate. Took advantage of us being vulnerable with sick child in the house.

Unbelievably awful company that exists to rip you off. They turned up to fix a leak that was flooding a patio area and quoted £1400 to put a valve on a pipe! They obviously thought we were desperate. We then asked them to turn the water off as part of the call out fee and they refused. We asked them to show us where the tap was and asked for £500 to turn a nob!!!!! When we found a legit plumber, he turned the water off as soon as he arrived without trying to extract money from us as he saw the damage being caused and them did the repair for less than half of what ASAP tried to scam from us.

Truly awful service. Late arrival, was not thorough. Advertised as £350, sent an invoice for over £800 for 1 hour of labor and no parts. Had to threaten to be told they would reduce to £515. Do not use this company.
I had the same problem 2 years ago and was charged a flat fee of £250

The engineer was great. Very friendly and very honest and knows his stuff. Him I would recommend. But the company itself is a disgraceful rip off. About £83 for a call out just to agree that the leaking tap needs fixing. Then they're going to charge £289 plus parts plus admin fee for one hour of actual work to fix it. Then they say if the engineer goes one minute over they charge another whole hour at an additional £289. What happened to honest local plumbing? Don't even think of using these crooks unless you want to throw your money away. I'll be using someone else to do this minor job I can guarantee.

This was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had.

When I first contacted the company, I specifically asked whether there was a call-out charge. I was told there wasn't one. However, when the engineer, Chris, arrived, the first thing he asked for was payment before he had even looked at the issue.

He asked for my email address, and as soon as I provided it, I received a quote of **£289 per hour**. Chris did not properly investigate the problem, explain what was wrong, or tell me how much the repair would cost. Instead, he said he would come back to me the next day with a cheaper price and fix the issue.

In the end, I paid **£94.80** for what was supposed to be a call-out, yet I still don't know what the problem is or what the solution would be. I was charged without receiving a diagnosis or a clear repair plan.

I would not recommend this company or this type of service based on my experience.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - SCAMMERS charged my vulnerable mother exorbitant rates including a 407% mark up on a tap

Scam. Charged my vulnerable mother and father in law almost 3k to fix a broken flexi-tap connector. They were desperate as the water was flooding their bathroom. They didnt bother turning off the water, just let it flow, charged them for 4 hours work and wouldn't leave until they had transferred the money. Have reported them to trading standards.

an exorbitant call out charge, misdiagnosed the problem and tried to sell us over £3000 of unnecessary work which we had fixed by a local 'proper' engineer for £200

Don't touch them with a barge pole

Had the misfortune to ring them to fix a simple bathroom toilet leak and was charged nearly £2K! Where to start? Misleading and opaque pricing (watch out for an admin fee of 20% of the final bill buried in their T&Cs!). Timewasting tactics to bump up costs (be prepared for the contractor to leave the site at least once and still attempt to charge you a £359 hourly rate). I experienced aggressive and threatening behaviour because I dared to query the bill. They illegally dumped building waste without my knowledge or consent. Like other customers have noted, the company does not provide a VAT number. I wonder what HMRC thinks about that. If you still use this company, please use your full legal rights afterwards as they will otherwise continue to get away with this appalling behaviour.

Came round for a call out and charged £76.80. Said we needed a new part which he would speak to a wholesaler about and then just never came back to us. Poor
