Came in early for record store day (18/04/26). Got down earlier than id like to admit and prior to opening the staff honestly couldn't have been more helpful, they ensured everyone had a wishlist (i had mine prior as I was only looking for two records) in the store everything was extremely efficient and I was guided to my records really quickly, there was minimal wait time to be served at the tills too, the Jack Daniels sponsored merch is really cool to and was a lovely addition to the experience. Not forgetting the free roll wich went down extremely well after a long morning. Cant honestly thank the staff enough!!

I bought my sister Mumford & Sons tickets. They are playing in Dundee and I thought this would be a wonderful birthday present. I had never heard of Assai Records before so was a little nervous.
Turns out my sister bought tickets for herself already. I contacted Assai Records and spoke with Kelsey. They had the best customer service ever!!!! I received a refund for the tickets. They were so helpful and very prompt replies. So much better than TicketMaster and other ticket companies etc. Just perfect to work with.

Staff are amazing. A mistake was made on my end without realising. I dealt with a lovely girl called Kelsey. And she was so happy to help fix it. Thank you!

I ordered two LPs as a first-time buyer with Assai Records, which arrived within a reasonable timeframe and with minimal damage (only a little creasing on the corners of the outer sleeve, which I'm not too bothered about).

I was originally skeptical based on the negative reviews I found here, but since they had an item that I struggled to find elsewhere, I chose to take the risk. While I do agree that holding items for postage until you spend over £75 is an unorthodox policy, I actually didn't even get the option of 'Reserve For Future Merged Shipping' that was mentioned as being the default in other reviews. I was only provided with an option to pay the £4.99 for postage, so perhaps this was an issue with the website that has now been fixed.

I also think that the offer of free postage being dependent on your spending over £75 is made pretty clear on the website (at the top of the page as of 17/01/26), so I wouldn't necessarily avoid this store because a few people didn't pay enough attention. This disclaimer may have been a recent addition to clear up confusion, but I found everything pretty clear when I ordered.

The only thing I would maybe complain about (and complain is a strong word), is that they took a few days to ship my parcel, but I don't think this is a huge issue providing you're not in a rush to receive your item.

I’ve ordered from Assai a couple of times and they always give excellent service! Speedy delivery and perfect, careful packaging. Also included their Album of 2025 book, which was a nice touch. Thanks!

Assai continues to be brilliant. Kelsey and all the team are wonderful, always going the extra mile. I’m a record collector and Assai have provided me many great records.

Exellent customer service. I buy a lot of the Assai Obi editions and whenever I have any issues (which isn't often) they are delt with quickly. Great packaging and all around great company

Ordered item in good faith and there was no clear messaging about postage, so assumed this was free. Then received an email after a while saying if I wanted the item released I had to pay £4.99 postage. The email looked like a scam so was incredibly wary before paying. This is no way to run a business. I’ve never come across an approach like this before. It will be the last time I use this business, especially when there are so many alternatives.

ordered online and shop delivery to Dundee was not particularly handy. spoke to both Kelsey in customer services and the Glasgow store.

They were very very helpful and professional and they got it all sorted.

A proper record store that looks after their customers.

What a waste of time. Order a few 12" records which were supposedly available in store, then after waiting up a few days email them and asked for tracking number and was told items were not available. Asked for a refund and also for my surprise, a £2.00 fee for cancellation would apply. I'll never buy from them again. Avoid.

Purchased tickets recently for two events in Glasgow. Communication and customer support has been amazing from Kelsey. The swiftness of response was incredible, unlike other ticket vendors I could mention! Thank you Assai Records, your staff are brilliant.

Kelsey has been great dealing with my web order and offering to deliver my order when my chubby paws hit the wrong collection point. I love buying from them as they really give back to the community with concerts, in stores and signings that cover all tastes.

Really went above and beyond to make sure I could get a copy of a record. Corinn in Glasgow and Kelsey at head office. Stores are always welcoming.

I ordered a record that ended up having different cover art than the advertised version. I contact Assai Records to see what they could do as I am in the US and they are in the UK. Kelsey was very responsive and did some research on the situation, discovering that the label provided the photo but did not have the record art as pictured. She offered me some options for how to remedy the situation and was super helpful throughout the interaction. I was super impressed with her and her effort to understand and remedy my issue. I ended up keeping the record, but I also ended up a fan of Assai Records. Keep up the great work and make sure Kelsey gets the appreciation she deserves!

Perfect order! Super happy with my vinyl, the whole process was easy and smooth, and I really like how serious and reliable Assai Records is. The packaging was great, shipping was fast—definitely recommend!

My record was warped and the issue was resolved hastily with friendly staff.

Do not use this company, what a carry on.

I order vinyls from a lot of online retailers and even personal sellers and never in my life have I heard the crap these come out with. Placed an order for a vinyl record , as a gift. Usually when placing orders with OTHER companies you pay and it’s shipped no hassle . No two days laters looking through my junk email I see this

Good job I looked in my junk emails. So they are asking me to get my basket upto £75 or pay additional £4.99 becuase they don’t automatically add shipping to your order ( who does that !!) so my vinyl is sat being held.
On principle I responded asking for a refund.Please keep in mind this is days between.

So I have to pay £2 to cancel or if I want use it in the shop again!! Why would I … keep my £2 and maybe look at your process.

So if you’d like to place an order and go through days of emails to be tried to be conned at every turn . Deffo recommend ..
But I’d like myself you want to place an order and it be shipped out without having to communicate via emails and them trying to push you to spend more , I’d go ANYWHERE else :-)

Postage costs were a little unclear but support were extremely quick and helpful
