Poor service. Postage costs are not clear on the website. After purchase they say to add £5 postage cost. If you then cancel you then get charged £2. That doesn't happen at Rough Trade, Jumbo and Resident. They make it clear on their websites.

You need to make postage clearer on the website (see other similar reviews below). I won't be shopping here again or recommending them.

Visited Assai in Edinburgh today, all three staff I spoke to were extremely helpful in sorting the vinyl I was after and posting it on for me. Top class service, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this store and their website which is also very good.

Tried to purchase a Vinyl that was priced and in the special offer section. When scanned the price was more than what was on the label. Staff refused to honour the price they had marked on the vinyl. Staff were courteous but imo when you have clearly written a cost on an item you should honour that mistake.
On reading reviews on here, it is reflected when errors are made the company have little care or concern for customers.
NO reflection on the staff who are always lovely.

They advertise free postage, but when you order, they send you an email telling you there's a £5 delivery charge. If you choose to cancel, they charge you £2. Never heard of any other record shop using this dishonest approach. So I'll use literally any other record shop in future.

purchased a Whitney Houston album arrived today the item is faulty seems as if its been played and re sealed contacted the customer service, met a reply filled with arrogance, rudeness of the highest level to the point of insulting me and questioning my honesty, i will not purchase here again

Fast dispatch and an error with postage selected by me on the website was quickly and easily resolved with an email. Overall good comms and a well packaged fast arrival.

First time customer bought the Razorlight Assai obi edition. Very nice product. Prompt response from customer devices contacted due to MY error. Prompt delivery. Will def use again.

Time to finally write a review.

Lots of positive encounters with the staff online and in the Glasgow branch. I always find them so helpful and friendly. Yesterday I made a mistake with an order, got in touch and they sorted it out as soon as it was picked up. Always great service.

Also, grateful for the growing collection of signed vinyl I have through shopping with them as well!

Wanted a vinyl that I couldn’t find anywhere in the UK for my wifes birthday and came across availability in the Dundee store. Ordered not looking at the postage fee properly. When queried yesterday it was rectified and shipped immediately and arrived today in time for my partners birthday. They answered my query and sorted the problem super quick. Excellent service and attentiveness. Thanks Assai Records.

Worst expérience ever. I ordered a vinyle. Few hours after they sended my order, they contacted me to say : oups we had make a mystake, your item was sold out since 1 years, We sended you an another item, you can keep them or sended your order back to us and we refund you. 5 weeks and 0 refund for the moment or compensation ( the package was returned). Worst expérience ever

After completely ballsing up my order for Paul Weller new 66 album Kelsey was on hand on a Bank Holiday to help me out. Massive thanks to Kelsey who guided me through my order. item has just been delivered.Thanks a mill and hopefully use you again

Sent me a limited edition record with signed sash but the inner sleeve was split due to poor packing, even though they had replacement inner sleeves they refused to help my situation by just replacing the record and letting me keep the sash, they had the ability to put their cock up right and refused to do it.

Extremely dodgy company - beware! They made false accusations about me and cancelled my order during a family bereavement. They also threatened to charge me additional fees. They have no respect or empathy for their customers but are happy to make money from them. No morals at all. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!

Never once had a bad experience with these guys. Customer service is absolutely second to none! Special mention to Kelsey. Nothing is to much trouble for her!

Dreadful company. Making money on those who actually wants to own certain things in their collection. Miss Steph from Dundee store was so “kind” and “ with an attitude “ that actually makes me feel disgusted I was making purchases through their business. I’ve ordered two records separately because one was for me one for my friend because she could not buy for herself due to the fact she was in work. So I bought one to my address and other to her address and they or shall I say Her - Steph - has cancelled my both orders and charged me an extra £2 for each one because that’s what is says in their T&C. Get your lazy bum and start chasing those who are selling your stuff on eBay for £100’s not those who actually keeps you afloat. They are becoming another Horizon Music and Banquet Records. Be aware what you are buying because they will get money of you without notice and reason because that can according to their T&C AVOID AT ALL COST

I ordered a signed vinyl from an artist I really love. Mind you, I ordered through this service from the same store before and had no issues.

Suddenly they cancel my order and charge me 2 pounds.

I will dispute this with my bank, and fair warning. If you were against shipping forward addresses, how about you let your shopify system flag and not allow them from being accepted before the order is made?

Don’t deal with these scumbags, go to Rough Trade, Stripglasgow, Banquet, or Resident-music instead! Thank you!
