Auto Trail motorhomes
Well I've found Auto Trail to be very good. When I was researching which motorhome to buy they answered every single question I had. I only picked up my ex demonstrator 2 weeks ago. One problem with the spare wheel cover should have been sorted at the design stage as the cover was scoring away the rear body panel. When I spoke to them they said that would be discussing this at the factory with a view to making it adjustable. The minor scoring is getting done under warranty . Also a few minor issues which should have been picked up at the dealer has/are getting done . Tyne Valley Motorhomes were great, and up to now I have lots of confidence with them .They only said to me today that Auto Trail were one of the best companies to contact as some other motorhome companies are so difficult to get in touch with. Simon Chainey the sales manger is great , quick to get back to you with any issues that you have. The girls on the service desk today were great, and communicated everything to me, so as far as I'm concerned it's happy days for now.

Good looking van but no after sales service .better keep your fingers crossed that you do not get a problem because you are not getting any help of off auto trail shame really for a company that can sell products north of a 100k don’t no how they think they can sell you a product an treat you like something u bought on eBay for a tenner sorry no product loyalty good luck if this works for you only hope karma dosnt catch up with you

Emailed spare parts to obtain a part number for the winter fridge vent, so I could order a set. Robyn replied and said I should have been issued one when I bought my F62 in September. Robyn made the offer to send me the vents for free. Way to go Robyn so much better than the agent and manager I dealt with in customer services. You have restored my faith in Autotrail. Thank you again Robyn
Zero customer service, couldn’t care less
I bought a brand new F62 Autotrail after three days the zip on the bench cushion has broken. Also 3 of the leather arm rests on the front seats have ripped. The lack of empathy and total absence of any sense of customer service was apparent from the surly and curt attitude of the first agent, escalated to a manger who could not care less. He thought it was reasonable for me not to use the van for 3 to 4 weeks. When I suggested he gives me a cushion cover from his production line he explained it was not possible for them to wait 3 to 4 weeks. But it’s acceptable for me to wait. If this is an indication of how they handle what really is a simple fix, I have zero confidence that they will be able to handle a more complicated issue. The F62 by the way is brilliant, instead of getting five stars they get the one. I expected a few minor issues, it’s a house on wheels after all. I wrongly expected as it turns out that customer service is high on Autotrails agenda. Disappointed customer.
Auto-trails non existent customer care
Bought our Auto-trail tracker RB new in 2015, we have since travelled the length and breadth of the uk with no issues, until this year...
Took the van for it’s MOT, and told that the near side rear tyre had some small cracks on the side wall and would require replacing in the near future.
I decided to replace the rear tyre with the full size spare, and use the original for the spare in it’s place.
On removing the faulty rear tyre I attempted to fit the never used spare in it’s place only to find that the rim would not fit the hub. On further inspection I found that the rim with the new tyre had a different part number.
Now bearing in mind that this is a brand new identical tyre and hub that I have been carrying around on my motorhome for nearly 5 years fitted to my vehicle by auto-trail.
I contacted Auto-trail so called After sales team and explained the predicament stating that we were so lucky not to have required to change to the spare in an emergency as we would have been stranded due to the wrong rim being fitted to our spare.
They said they would look into it and get back to me.
The next day I received a call from their After sales team to say that as far as they were concerned the issue had NOTHING to do with them and I should contact the dealer who I purchased the motorhome from!
I refused to do this and stated as Auto-trail supplied the vehicle, and under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) goods you supply must be fit for purpose, and said I expect a response within 14 days.
After 15 days I received an email stating “we are unable to accept that this is would be due to an error made at the factory during the manufacturing process of your Tracker RB”
This was a brand new £57000 motorhome that we purchased, and the response from Auto-trails so called “after sales team” by any standard was abysmal. They have expressed no concern or care for our safety or well being during this experience, and for a company of this standing without admitting fault but as an “offer of good will” could have resolved this issue at very little cost to their huge bottom line profits.
So to anyone thinking of buying from Auto-trail, I would think very hard before doing so, as once the have your money they will try and shun all responsibility.
At the very lease I suggest all Auto-trail owners and potential owners check that your spare wheel fits your hub, and if not good luck on trying to get a replacement out of Auto-trail.
The worst company that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with!.....

We purchased a new Autotrail tribute…
We purchased a new Autotrail tribute F60 from threeways caravan and motorhome in Abergele North Wales, Thursday 22/07/20 was pick up day, we were excited, arrived at the Garage for 10am greeted by the salesperson paper work out of the way and pay for something that was on order although no confirmed date available for delivery, we were to busy thinking about our travels in the motorhome £51000 worth, a Covid hand over carried out and over the road to the fuel station to fill up and have gas cylinders put in place , because of Covid unable to have the gas cylinder but luckily the sales person managed to locate an empty for us to go on our way, while putting the gas cylinder in the gas locker of the motorhome the securing strap fell off, first sign of pathetic workmanship, off the van went to the threeways service area and securing strap re fitted with longer screws( come back to the longer screws later), finally at 11:42 we are on our way, drove approximately 500meters and the cab of the motorhome filled up with fumes on looking out of the mirror a plume of black smoke could be seen coming from underneath the motorhome and an alert on the dashboard showing a fault, back to the Garage we went to be greeted by the manager on explanation to him of what had occurred he started to babbling about how he had sold all kinds of various cars in his career and that it was most likely an electrical fault, by now I was fuming a 30 foot trail of smoke was just something electrical, when back in garage service area attempt made to book the van into a local garage, earliest available date 4/08/2020, ok so I leave the Motorhome home with them to sort out and make my way back home, NO go home in it and bring it back on the date even though the manual of the motorhome said to only drive to the local dealer for attention to the fault and not drive it back to my home 60miles away to do further damage to the van. Steam coming out of our ears off home we go, thinking all the while someone from Threeways will be in touch to see if we arrived home, NO nothing absolutely nothing (we’ve have your money goodbye) back to the motorhome the diagnosis was faulty injectors, date for repair commencing 14/08/20, back to those longer screws now, when at home we start to look closely and those longer screws are now protruding to the other side, not the only ones found another 2 doing the same so poor, On to the workmanship of Autotrail further we have an electric bed the housing around the top has been fitted with approximately 10 mm gap one side and flush fitting on the other end, could go on but I have that feeling of none of them care, I do feel better for having vented my frustration here, people be very careful when dealing with these companies, We have now had to cancel 3 bookings totalling £370 which we were looking forward to so thanks a lot Autotrail and Threeways for absolutely nothing I hope you enjoy our money. 😡😡😡😡😡
