Did have a very bad experience picking up the car in Antalya airport yesterday. Landed in terminal 2 there. Avec counter was closed and phone number given. Tried to call the number many times and it simply did not work. Had to walk 2 km with suitcases to another terminal. The counter was still closed there and same not working number given. Finally, located them at the car park of Terminal 1. Two employees were there and did not seem very busy, sitting outside with their phones. They did not care much that people who rented the cars could not reach out to them due to phone not working. Would have been only reasonable to expect they would drive 2 km to another terminal and update the phone. Yet, it was not like they really cared. Also, charged me more that should have, which i only realized next day. I would have expected at least an apology given, not overcharging for a very poor service, a lot of hustle and frustration, walking at night and trying to reach them for more than an hour. So, very disappointing.

As a proud Turkish patriot I am saddened that I have to leave this negative feedback but the reality is customers deserve to know and the company needs to listen to this feedback. Like others, I turned up to collect my car the reps at the desk try to upsell me insurance which I already had through my booking agent bookings.com. They continue to push and even drop the price from 2500 Lira to 500 Lira, I still refuse, they than tell me I have to pay a deposit even though I've fully paid, the amount being 250 lira, at this point I pay and get on my way as I'm fed up of talking to these cowboys, I was told this deposit would be refunded when I return the car. it wasn't and I've had to chase this through American express, of course, it's never that easy, Avec sends over a bunch of documents saying I signed off on something or another and make AMEX reverse the refunded charges.

I would avoid this company, it is completely unacceptable behaviour, pricing needs to be transparent, refund of deposits need to be documented properly and automated refunded with confirmations sent to customers.

The car that I used was perfect, brand new VW T-Roc, I can't complain about the car but the pick up process and upselling experience is disgraceful.

SCAM! please stay away from them.

Do not hire a car from this company . I was supposed to pay £304 then when l checked my card statements I was charged £316.15 as well as £5,76 for the tolls . I am not bothered about the tolls but over charging me is unacceptable . I was Given car that I haven’t booked then when l told them they weren’t happy so I waited around 1 hour so they could change it . Wouldn’t recommend at all .

I was afraid when I read the words on all the feedback and reviews
I- found AVEC dealings with all professionalism
2- Car rental was at Istanbul Airport
3-service was very professional AND FAST
4-The handling of the car delivery was above professional and I was helped to transfer the bags to the car
5-The car is only 3900 km, and very clean with water for all passengers and four small lemon perfume
6-I Decide to return the can in a different location , so I called them and they told me that there is no problem with returning it at another location
7- Price comparing to other companies ((IS THE LOWEST (BEST PRICE))
8- one small problem that the invoice was send by email in Turkish language

Vorsicht - Betrug und Abzocke zusammen mit Booking.com und Rentalcars.com.

Am Flughafen (!) wird bei einer Verspätung eines Auslandsfluges (!) um lächerliche 1 h die Buchung seitens Avec storniert. Das Geld in kompletter Höhe (bei uns Gebühr für vier volle Tage) wird beibehalten, obwohl wir kein Auto bekommen haben.
Nach vier Wochen weiß ich immer noch nicht, welchen Anteil Avec bekommt und welchen Anteil von dem Geld Booking.com oder Rentalcars.com behält.

Vorsicht - keine Vorauszahlung an Booking.com und vermeiden Sie Avec. Gehen Sie paar Schritte weiter zu anderen Anbietern.

Avec does not help you if the car breaks down, then they blame you refusing to pay. Avoid them!

Long wait to get served upon getting the car and dropping it back. Also charges that appear on credit card have no explanation and they seem to go higher and higher for no reason. I can not trust them leaving my card details with them anymore.

I rented a Fiat Egea from Avec at Antalya airport. Although the staff is a little disorganised (had to call them several times), they are nice helpful people who helped me with transfers between terminals, and the car was in excellent condition. Satisfied with my rental.

3 months before we went on holiday I made a reservation for a polo. Arriving at the airport they didn't have the polo and they gave me a cheaper car, a Clio. The Clio had bad speakers and no digital screen. When I reserved and paid for the car there was a €80 difference, I asked to refund it, but they didn't want that. Bad service and never again that I rent a car here.

I rented a medium size SUV with AVEC through Booking.com. The total rental cost was $1011, which was prepaid fully at the booking to Booking.com. The day of pick-up, AVEC agents were having an early snack or lunch at 4:30am in Istanbul and asked me to comeback later. I informed them that I have kids with me, and we need to get to the hotel for rest. An agent came, and immediately after seeing all my papers and booking voucher pretended that he could not proceed with the rental because I did not have a credit card. I showed him my VISA card multiple times, but he insisted that he cannot complete the booking and cancelled my reservation. I lost the full amount $1024, which is what Booking.com deducted, despite many trials to get my refund.

They stole money from my card. Allegedly for damages. But the damage was before I took the car. I showed them pictures but customer service ignores my evidence. They just don't respond. This company's business is built on deception. Don't be fooled by the low prices. They will attribute damage to you! On top of that, they will cheat you on the toll road bill. You pay by the built-in transponder. But if you paid with your card the fare would be half the price. Terrible company. Don't ever do business with it!

We booked a vw tiguan from Home. When we come too airport in the night, no one is there waiting us. We have to call them 4 times before they pick up. We come to the office and they ask for our card. We give them our mastercard. Here the BIG problem start. They don’t take mastercard. He keep telling us that it is saying in the papers, but it’s not. So bad service and no way he will do anything to help us. The man in the desk did not care about good costumer service and we was left in the airport with a child freezing in the night with no car. I will never recommend Avec to anyone - not even my worst enemy.

Erst dachten wir, dass alles nahezu super gelaufen ist. Auto gebucht, am Flughafen abgeholt, Auto war sauber und einwandfrei (Vor Ort haben wir uns eine Vollkasko Versicherung machen lassen, was ich für wichtig gehalten habe, man weiß ja nie). Auto problemlos wieder abgegeben und irgendwann waren wieder zu Hause. Dann wurde die Rechnung doppelt abgebucht! Als wir dort angerufen haben, wurde uns gesagt, dass "versehentlich" doppelt abgebucht wurde. Komischerweise wurden auch einzelne komische Beträge abgebucht, sodass man den Überblick verlieren sollte. Zum Glück haben wir unser Geld wieder zurückbekommen, jedoch zu einem niedrigeren Kurs Euro/Lira, als das wir bezahlt hatten. (Kurs war gesunken). Dürfen die das überhaupt? Naja auf diese 2-3 Euro Minus habe ich dann gesch*. Aber ich buche dort nicht noch einmal. Schade, eigentlich hatte mir das gefallen.

We booked a car at Kayseri airport (Turkey) on December 25, 2021 for 3 days. Directly on the Avec website, the price played a decisive role, they paid immediately online.
The problems started at the airport when we were simply not met. Although before that, they repeatedly sent the flight number and arrival time to the mail and to whatsap. In response, they received OK, you will be met at the exit. But no, I had to call while roaming and wait. After registration, after driving 2 km, problems began with the wheel, which was constantly running down. To our question, the company replied that don't pay attention, it's just one wheel. That is, they knew about it and gave us such a car. Neglecting our safety. All three days we had to look for car services every 10 km to pump up a completely flat tire. The refund was just as terrible as the receipt. Arriving at the office at 4 a.m., as planned, we found the doors closed. They called again, froze and waited. What a finale! The deposit was returned after 7 days. But!!! Do you know what they do? They do not block funds on the card, but spend them as a purchase!!!!!! And when they make a refund, you lose on the conversion rate!!!! It seems to return the same 1000 lira, but because of the conversion rate, I lost 15 euros on a ruble card. That is, having paid 30 euros for car rental, half of it was still just lost/stolen. They answered all my questions that it was better than waiting 1 month for funds to be unblocked in a Turkish bank (???). This is a scam! Be careful!!! Do not take a car to AVEC!!!!!!

Jeg har flere gange lejet biler hos Avec Car i Istanbul og antalya.
Jeg har desværre 2 gange fået en bil som ikke er blevet tjekket inden jeg fik den - eller er blevet tjekket men alligevel blevet lejet ud til kunden. Den ene gang var side spejlet i stykker ringer straks og gør dem opmærksom på problemet de undskylder men gør ikke mere ved det . Jeg er sms samtaler på det og billeder .
Den anden gang er der ikke fyldt olie i bilen ringer selvfølgelig igen og gør dem
Opmærksom på det og får at vide jeg kan fylde op selv og få pengene refunderet .. det er bare ikke godt nok sådan et firma som Avec. De tjekker bilen og kan se problemet men alligevel vælger de at leje bilen id til kunden. Og oven i købet blir jeg lovet at blive ringet op af en leder Da jeg ønsker at snakke med en leder.
Det er ikke et sted jeg lejer biler længere .. hvis i gør det tjek bilen godt og grundigt ..
