I ordered the wrong fly line

I ordered the wrong fly line, emailed and told them right after I purchased online. They got back to me within a week and told me via email what to do in order to get my refund. I sent the unopened package right back and they did some sort of update to my purchase online but never sent my refund and still have not replied to my requests for the refund. I wish I had reviewed their business more in depth before purchasing anything. Lesson learned but I will file a complaint with Better Business Bureau.

Go Somewhere Else

I would recommend buying your gear elsewhere. I ordered two items, did not receive either. After I contacted this "company" they said they sold me an item that was not in stock and would refund my money. Weird that I had to reach out to them but fair enough. I also never received the other item, a $100+ bird bag. They have yet to address it months later. Go somewhere else and support a company that cares.

I ordered an item in November 2023 and paid in full. I was promised delivery many times and it never delivered as they told me it was out of stock by the manufacturer. I Emailed the manufacturer and they replied that they have always had it in stock. I followed-up w Aventuron 10x. It took a lot effort on my part to get finally get them to agree to a refund. Be careful doing business with Aventuron.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!
This is for a buddy who is waaaaaay too nice and patient. He ordered a $7000 Yeti (that was supposedly in stock) the beginning of November and it's now December 11 with no bike. When he tried to cancel the order last week, they told him to read the fine print on the order. It gives them up to SIX WEEKS to ship a bike out and they said they would charge him 10% if he cancelled before the 6 weeks was up.
In a world where customer service is a joke, this is a new low.

Very delayed shipping

A while back I placed an order for wading boots, they did not arrive for over 1 month. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that this was just a fluke. Recently I ordered a fly reel and it has been over 2 weeks. After reading other reviews here, I realize this it the company's business model. Never again.

Ordered a Helly Hanson men’s jacket in…

Ordered a Helly Hanson men’s jacket in navy blue, size XL. I was contacted days after the purchase to learn they advertised and sold this jacket they didn’t have. I was asked to choose a different color. I chose Black in XL… I was told it would be shipped without delay. I have waited for an extended period (more than 10 days) waiting for the shipping information and tracking number. Then I was again contacted and promised that I would receive the shipping/tracking information. But to date, I have not received the jacket. I have been provided no shipping information only empty promises!

This retailer hides behind being a mall family business trying to offer brand name items at or lower prices than other retailers. Buyer beware!
Do not purchase items because there is little that will happen & you will waste days/weeks watching for a delivery that hasn’t been sent! Shame Shame Shame on you!

The cheaper price is NOT worth the poor experience!!

They are closed 3 days a week so if you order at the wrong time, it can take over a week to ship. Customer service is rude and unapologetic. It's clear that they don't stock much and have your product shipped from the manufacturer (anything Helly Hansen in my experience). This company is a borderline scam and I can't imagine how horrible the return process would be!

Bike hasn’t shipped four weeks after I paid

Ordered a bike that they said would take two weeks to arrive, I spoke to one of their representatives (possibly the owner) and she implied they had bikes in stock when I asked, four weeks later and it hasn’t even shipped. I would highly recommend avoiding aventuron, their prices are low because they dropship simple as that.

Masquerading as a small family business

Under the guise of a small local business these guys take your money and then NEVER ship the product. There are many explanations for these delays. They are definitely just about to ship your order. If you could just wait a bit longer.

Heaven help you if you file a dispute. When your patience runs out, Sandy will send rude emails about the legitimacy of their business and how YOU are the problem. After all, Aventuron was just about to ship your order. Please remove your review if you still want it.

Forget these jokers. They advertise deceptive pricing and don’t ship your order. Best bet is not to fall for their nonsense and buy directly from the manufacturers. It’s good to support small and local - but also ethical companies, which Aventuron is not.

Quick to take the money, not so to ship the product

I placed an order nearly 2 weeks ago and while they are happy to take your money immediately, shipping the product seems to be something they are NOT interested in doing. Try and call their phone number BEFORE YOU ORDER and see if they answer. I can tell you they won't so when they don't you'll know NOT to order from them. I have sent 3 emails and only the first one was returned with a hollow promise that I would receive tracking info in a few days. I guess I have no choice but to dispute the charge with my credit card and order the product elsewhere. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!

This company appears to piggy-back off…

This company appears to piggy-back off of Google searches but does not have the inventory in stock -- yet lists it as in-stock when they take your money. I had to follow-up with them 3 times now and am still waiting for refund on 8/24 when item was ordered and paid for on 8/11. they do not answer telephone calls and have likely outsourced customer service to a remote location. Hate that when a business advertises itself as a small family-owned business but operates as money hungry e-tail business.

Bike was not assembled!

I bought a Surly Preamble Drop Bar at Aventuron because it was not available locally for me. After a week the bike finally shipped -- according to Aventuron, the bike needed to be assembled and repacked before shipping. However, when the bike arrived it was in a completely disassembled state -- disks for the brakes were not on the wheels, the bar was not taped, brake cables were not trimmed (one stuck out about two feet). I ended up having to take the bike to a local bike shop and pay about $100 to be properly assembled. Would not buy from Aventuron again!

Sorry you had to do that. We do have professional build services available as the listing stated. The sale price bike you purchased shipped in a 90% built state with some assembly required. Most of the time, the final bits of assembly can be done with basic bike tools by the end customer, and I apologize you had to take it in and pay more to get it up and running.

Aventuron Advertised and sold me a product that had a fake label stuck over the Manufacturer's label.

Aventuron afvertised and I purchased a 225 foot spool of wire. After it arrived it appeared to be what they had advertised so I contacted them and ordered the remaining spools that they had on hand. Come Monday morning I when to use the spool of wire I realized that is was not 225' but rather on 200'. I contacted Aventuron and Aventuron told me that was the way that the wire had come from the manufacturer and that if I had a problem it was not Aventuron's fault but rather it was the manufacturer's fault. I asked Aventuron to measure the wire in my second order before it shipped as I could not use a 200' spools as I was purchasing the wire for a custom build antenna and my customer would not accept spliced wire. Aventuron said that they did not have anyway to measure the wire so I cancelled the order for the wire that Aventuron had not yet shipped. And, I requested a refund for the one initial spool that I had received. They refused so I then filed a complaint with eBay to apply for a refund. In addition I contacted the manufacturer who Aventuron claimed was responsible for the wire being 200' and not the 225' that Aventuron advertised and I ordered and paid for. The manufacturer advised me that they DO NOT make a 225' spool but they do NOT make a 225' spool but that they do make a 200' spools. which is what I got. I also asked them about the label that was stuck over their original label and was told that the label stuck over their original label was not something that they would do. When I contacted Aventuron with this information and told Aventuron that someone had placed a white stick on label over top of the manufacturer's label claiming that the spool was 225' when in fact it was a 200' spool, Aventuron claimed to know nothing about it and then wanted to know how I measused the wire and could I send them a picture. I explained that like most people, I know, I used a 100' tape measure and that, I had no idea how a picture of 200' piece of wire laying next to a 100' tape measure would prove anything since it would not be possible for a "picture to show both ends of 200' wire and a 100' tape measure in one picture and unless it was all show in one picture it would not prove anything. I then suggested that they refund my money and if they wanted the fake spool back they would need to pay the return shipping. Aventuron's then wanted to waste more of everyone's time by telling me that if they refunded my money and paid for return shipping on the mis label wire that they would loose money on the sale. At no point did Aventuron accept any responsibilty for for advertising and selling me a spool of wire that the manufacturer claims that they don't sell, and with a white computer printer label stuck over the manufacturer's label claiming that the wire was a larger size than it actually was. In summary the product was not what it was advertised to be. Aventuron at all times maintained that it was not their fault. And finally,Aventuron seemed more concered that if they refunded my money and paid for the return shipping that they would "loose" money than the fact that the product was not what they advertised and that someone have placed a label over the manufacturer's label claiming that the spool was larger than it was. Not to mention they wasted a lot of time both theirs and mine for something that should have been fixed when I very first contacted them.

the manufacturer of this item, Blood Run, confirmed their own label containing their UPC was put on by them. We sold you exactly what we purchased, received, and re-sold through our website. Blood Run confirmed, they made the 225' spools and shipped them to us. Please do not accuse anyone of anything you did not do your research on :).

We went so far as to pay for return shipping for that item AND you received a full refund for the item. I would hope you adjust your review reflecting the very beneficial outcome of your case.

VERY slow processing time, even worse shipping; expect your order to take a solid 2 weeks

Tried to 'do right' by buying local. Aventuron loves to promote their 'mom and pop' feel, however, it's just another company trying to promote their roots, without paying attention to the actual customer or impacts their cost cutting has

Worse, the customer service is beyond rude - quick response, but the agent was more focused on trying to deflect blame and point fingers, instead of attempting to resolve an issue

I will happily refuse shipment, and repurchase through a more reputable, customer-service orientated establishment

Unprofessional Customer Service Chats

I had an odd encounter using the chat. I sent the chat in the early hours and understood that the response would be emailed per the site. I had signed up to the site in order to receive a 10% off link. I did not get the link emailed, so in my chat, I asked if the code could be sent. The response I received was that everything in my cart was on sale and the link would not work. None of the items were noted to be on sale, so I again responded with the items in my cart and that I would like the email sent. I again got a response that they "do believe" all the items in my cart were on sale. I understand there is often fine print in the sign-up offers, but it would have been nice if they had just sent the coupon and let me read it myself. I was not finished shopping and if I had the coupon I may have chosen to purchase a different item. I responded by telling them I only wanted to code emailed to me and based on the responses I would not be needing a code. I was sent a response with code and a message saying that customer service didn't open until 10 but he had been kind enough to respond to my message at 7 and that he was going to spend time with his kids and then another message saying "I'm a father too and my children come first, I tried helping..." I would not expect an after-hours response or such an unprofessional response. It was a simple request to send a coupon code, it could have waited and I didn't need to hear personal issues. I should have known from the first response that the person I was chatting with was not in a customer service role. I do not plan to ever purchase from this company the whole thing made me question if the site is valid.

Your chat came through at 5:10am today and the following automated message was sent, "Hi, we're not currently online. Leave your question and contact information below and we'll respond as soon as we can!"

At 6:45am I responded. I was able to see the three items in your cart that totaled $265.28. I informed you that the welcome discount would exclude the items as they were already on sale. You even asked about a product that has "past season" listed in the title of the product. You stated you weren't done shopping. I provided you the welcome code for the 10% discount and also suggested you check your spam folder as the email with code may be in that. You also stated you were going to forward my responses to your husband who recommended you buy Father's day gifts from our site and that you will now be shopping elsewhere and telling everyone about our poor customer service.

We went back and forth from 6:45am to 8am when I finally said, "I'm going to spend time with my kids now before work and finish making them breakfast. If you require further communication it will come once we open at 10am CST. I'm a father too and my children come first. I tried helping..."

And then you left this review.

There is not "fine print" at the time of email signup. The welcome pop-up reads the below in bold:

I'm sorry you feel the way that you do, but I did reply back with the code and also provide reasons as to why the code may not work on certain products.
