Amazing trees and service

I recently contacted this company for two Red Robin trees. It was not their usual size of order, but Luke and his team were so accommodating and helpful throughout.

They allowed me to visit their premises and choose the trees in person, which made such a difference and meant I could get exactly what I needed.

It was a real pleasure buying from them. The quality of all the trees and plants they had in stock was outstanding, and my Red Robins are in fantastic condition.
Excellent service, lovely people, and great prices too.

Avoid

Bought on eBay , spent almost £200 on bamboo and recieved a bag of £5 logs . Seem largely uninterested , communication very low. stated they would post again then I heard nothing . Awaiting eBay taking action.

Hi Patrcia, we are aware of the on going case in ebay. They have put the case on hold for 5 working days (we are not sure why) but as per the communications between us, we agreed to re-send the the plants (free of charge) to you. There seems to be an error with recycling tracking numbers with DX where they re-use a tracking number for a previous parcel delivery. Rest assured, we are aware of the situation and will always refund or send new items if they are not delivered. Ebay are in touch with us directly through our account manager to solve the problem. We dont sell logs.. we are a plant business and we have directly communicated with DX as well to have a driver interview as to why our bamboo parcel (your plants) was delivered as logs. If we can be of anymore assistance please do not hesitate to call us on 01932 910246 and we can assist you further.

EDIT 23/02/2026 - Hi Patrcia, we can see that Ebay have issued a full refund now although we had re-sent the items on Friday we will re call this parcel as a full refund has been issued to you. Sorry for the inconvenience, the original parcel has been found as well by DX.

Excellent Quality Plants & service

I had a great experience from initial enquiry to delivery. I ordered 14 Photinia Red Robin for my garden hedge which were of excellent size & quality as well as 4 camellia all for a very good price. Luke was extremely responsive and helpful throughout and the Pallet company delivered them well packaged & on time. I would highly recommend purchasing from Luke's company Bamboo Kings which I found through Facebook Marketplace.

Excellent value for money!

WOW ... value for money with Luke. I bought sight unseen over FB marketplace and thought I'd give it a go having read the reviews. I'm so glad I did, the olive tree for £100 is 8 foot tall and really healthy. I bought some bamboo to fill up a pallet and wish I had bought more. Luke even rang the delivery people in the evening when my delivery hadn't shown up by 5pm to see where they were. Sterling service, thank you

Fantastic company to deal with

Fantastic company to deal with. Luke give excellent advice on the bamboos, plus we were able to go to the nursery and select our own trees. The plants are very good quality and were delivered to our doorstep really quickly. I would 100% recommend them and will be buying more from them!

Issue Solved Due To 'junk' Filter

I have deleted my previous review as my emails were unanswered due to falling in their junk box.

Once this issue was known, Luke was extremely quick in resolving the issue and issuing a full refund.

Hi Mark. Thanks for your feedback, your order was dispatched in full on 12th August 2025 2 days after you placed your order through us. Currently, Royal mail and Parcelforce are going through a merge and so tracking is not fully working but is due to be fully available and functional within the next few days. Your order should arrive to you tomorrow the 13th August. We will also follow up with a call tomorrow to you to ensure that your order has arrived. Any issues feel free to give us a call or email. Hi Mark thanks for the updated review - we just emailed you and have processed the refund as requested. Our email provider flagged your emails as potential virus threats and thus we found them away from our main inbox. Refund should have come through now. Hopefully this request is sorted now. Bought a beautiful Jasmine plant from…

Bought a beautiful Jasmine plant from Bamboo Kings to replace the one I had in my previous garden. Just moved house so it’s lovely to see a familiar plant and the scent is just gorgeous. I’m returning to buy fruit trees very soon. Luke offers great advice, honest and sensible. My garden is very different to the one I left behind so not sure yet what works and where but I trust Luke to advise me.

Stay away don't waste your money

4th time edited its honestly like banging my head against a brick wall.Yes you won yr case as I didn't return it .As I said previously I cannot return it as the QR does not work !!! As I said it's in the bin now as no other option .paypal refunded me .Just wanted other customers to be aware that you do not give refunds & it's impossible to return item to you.shocking that you suggest I return it so you can revive it back to life that says it all really !! Goodbye & have a good day responding to your complaints with no empathy what so ever ! Thanks for your response as i said QR code was not accepted at the post office & you shouldnt have to revive it back to life !!! It should have been in good condition when you sent it ..its in the bin now where it belongs ! After writting my review i recieved a response from bamboo king saying they issued a QR code for royal mail .As i tried to explain royal mail do not take parcels of this size so it was a completely wasted journey trying to get a 6ft bamboo plant to the post office .i cannot return the plant with the QR code they sent me .unbelievble that they are not listening.You are welcome to the plant back as its awful wish I could send it back but the QR code is not accepted at the post office as royal mail do not take large parcels.Was told you would send another QR code to return it via parcel force this did not happen .Plant is now in the bin as customer service poor..Ordered a bamboo plant .looked lovely in the photo.arrived with all the leaves in the bottom of the box.tried to return it .sent a QR code for royal mail.Lugged a 6ft bamboo up to the post office only to be told its too big for royal mail. Contacted bamboo kings told me they would sent the correct QR code & would replace it in 4 weeks time.They didn't send QR code.I contacted PayPal who have kindly refunded me as i am a loysl customer.Shocking really that this company can get away with selling such poor quality .I see 24% of reviews are 1 star so I guess I'm just one in 4 who have been mislead by their advertising. Not sure how to attatch photo otherwise would .Would strongly advice to avoid this company .I agree with previous customer root ball chopped in half & not at all as described very dissapointed & company's customer service is poor.

Hi Sharon we are sorry to hear this. We have checked on ebay and can see that you agreed to return the item and we issued you a label. After this we can then see you opened up a return which is normal for customers to return items via the post office. Under distance seller regulations we must have items back..Just like Amazon or similar...We commercially grow in pots and then spilt the bamboo when you only order one clump for £24.99. The full 25L aurea is available for sale for a cost of £55 plus postage. With over 13,000 positive feedback on ebay we are a little worried that you have only taken the time to read comments here. Edit: Hi Sharon thanks for your response we can see the parcelforce label was issued but was not scanned at the post office for return. We have returns processed like this all the time as parcelforce collect items from royal mail post offices each day. It's a new service they provided. We note that in your messages to us on ebay the bamboo was damaged and thus the box could be a lot smaller for return. The species you purchased can grow upwards of 15ft in a couple of weeks so as explained to you and being a company that strives to not throw anything we away we kindly asked the plant be returned so we could revive it back to life. The QR codes are issued automatically by ebay but we can see the label was messaged to you for parcelforce to return. Again we wish you all the best and sorry we couldn't amend the issue on this occasion. Have a fantastic day.

Response 2: Hi Sharon thanks for the reply. As explained before and in unfortunate events sometimes plants get damaged in the post. We can see the case was closed in our favour this morning on ebay as the items were not returned. In some cases due to seller protection policies on Ebay this can be the case.
