Good quality shoes that last forever! and still look good

I loved not just receiving my dream shoe but the logistics.

The shoes I bought had a G wide fit width and Barker website recommended going down a size. Normally an 8.5 so ordered an 8. Shoes arrived very quickly but unfortunately they were too small and too tight, could not even get the right shoe on. The quality of the shoe is first class but sizing is misleading. I bought a pair of Barker loafers and although neat, I can wear them because the leather is flexible (size 8.5f). The reason for two stars is I returned the shoes straight away using Royal Mail and have not been contacted to acknowledge receipt. I purchased these using Klarna ,who reimbursed me but are now chasing me up due to Barker not contacting them to acknowledge receipt. I feel bad writing a negative review but when asked by Barker to submit review I have to give my current experience.
Going forward, I would buy Barker shoes again but not a ridged structure type. I suffer from Multiple Sclerosis and generally find it difficult to put shoes on so sizing is really important.

Customer service and quality of craftsmanship

when i bought the slippers , you never showed the sole which makes the product horrible. had i known, i wouldn't pay even one third the sale price.

Ordered my boots delivered promptly. The leather is usual excellent quality and boots well made. I notice no free shoe horn in the box which i did receive with my previous boots. Is this something you have stopped now?

A polite and efficient service

These are my fourth pair of Jefferson's great fit very comfy and so easy to repeat order on line. Need more styles in g fitting with rubber composite soles.

Your size 12 is more like 13. Too long, and I have other size 12 shoes which are fine. Far too broad for a narrow long foot. Sent back 10 minutes after unpacking.

I love the shoes but am marking low as the after sales service is poor. They arrived and were too big, I sent an email explaining but received a terse reply and was told to send them back at my own expense.
My dear old dad used to wear Barkers so feel a loyalty to the brand but awful online service.
