Warning, fraudulent trade practices!
Warning! Fraudulent trade practices! I purchased what was advertised as a Dyson replacement battery, and received a Chinese "Tool Battery". Not even a fake Dyson, just entirely different product from what was advertised and purchased. This is straight up fraud committed by this vendor.
Excellent service at a great price
A prompt and friendly staff member fitted a new battery for my car remote at a fraction of what the dealer would charge. Excellent service at an unbeatable cost. Love it!
Deceptive and Dishonest Behaviour, Avoid this Company
Terrible experience with Battery World Mentone and Greensborough. I bought two items from Mentone, including a 300W solar blanket. The solar blanket failed almost immediately, constantly showed error codes, and would not function despite hours of troubleshooting. Greensborough inspected it, identified a fuse / fuse-holder issue, performed a rough screwdriver repair, and even gave me spare fuses in case the same fault happened again. Despite this, they refused a refund. Mentone then claimed the unit was now working, while Greensborough later introduced what I believe was a completely false allegation that I had returned it with a “snapped lead” caused by misuse — an allegation that appears designed to defeat my lawful refund request and cover for their poor repair. Staff also repeatedly gave me misleading explanations of ACCC / Australian Consumer Law rights, implying that a repair removed my refund rights. After escalation to the store owner, I was finally refunded for both items, but they refused to admit fault, apologise, or explain their contradictory stories. In my view, this was dishonest, evasive conduct. I would strongly warn people against trusting either store with a significant purchase.
Unnecessary value adding
I phoned Battery World Gateshead to find out whether or not they had the battery and a price and further that they could install. I drove 1 hr each way. When I got there, without even looking or checking the car they said I needed to buy two batteries and the price increased by 50%. I had it done at a different Battery World with the second, auxiliary battery not needing replacement

I ordered a laptop battery, they said "it'll be here tomorrow". 2 weeks latter nothing. Two and-a-half weeks latter I go in and ask about the battery, they have it, they've had it for 4 days but it wasn't signed in, nobody knew it was there. Great...
Do not order from battery world!
Do not order from battery world!! I ordered $70 worth of 18650 batteries. They sent the completely wrong batteries. I contacted them. They said mail them back and provided a shipping label. They never sent the right batteries and charged me $20 for a restock fee and shipping. Worst experience possible.

I bought a UPS battery from Battery…
I bought a UPS battery from Battery World and took advantage of their free installation offer, only to find out that the big turkey who works in Battery world Maddington WA and treats customers like he doesn't want them at his store, didn't bother to remove the sulphur build up from the terminals before he installed it, I got home and used the UPS for all of about 15 minutes before the device started beeping it's head off, I opened it up and saw the problem straight away (sulphur build up on the terminals) pulled out my wire brush, quickly cleaned them up, then put the device back together again and it has worked perfectly ever since.
I strongly advise going to Battery Specialties store in Malaga instead, or ordering online if you can, because Battery World have some terrible staff members.
SOLD THE WRONG BATTERY- NO HELP WITH WARRENTY

ZERO CUSTOMER CARE - SOLD THE WRONG BATTERIES Extremely disappointed first and foremost we were sold 2 expensive incorrect century batteries for our trucks! Then I took it back with the receipt as they were under warranty six months ago and asked The two technicians to help me out. I asked me for the batteries and also the receipt so they could work with me. I gave them my business card which clearly stated my name and phone number And never heard anything back. I have since rung and asked to speak to the manager several times in regards to what is happening with my battery warranties And I’ve insured me that they will call me back later that day and I have heard nothing. We run a Transport business and have supported this as a local business for many years but will never return after this treatment. They had one job!!! and that was to sell us the correct batteries for a vehicle which we always provide a VIN And registration on purchasing . Extremely disappointed battery world you have lost a very loyal customer of over 20 years

Customer service was brash and unfriendly. Store was not busy. Felt as as if I was interrupting his day. Personal skills appalling. No install of brand new car battery offered , had to ask. I feel this staff member does not like their job or has a personal grudge against customers perhaps that is very noticeable and should maybe try a new vocation in my opinion. Had much better experiences at other stores.

100% services from Mornington battery world i was having issues with my 3 lithium batteries in my motorhome now working properly they picked up the problem straight away not connected right. can not thank them enough how good they are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Motorised car battery
We went to Battery world Hoppers Crossing on February 23 to ask about a battery for our Great granddaughter’s Lamborghini motorised car battery. The two guys we spoke with were Chris & Joe they went through what we needed & the best value for money. Also what would give the best life from the battery for my great granddaughter. They were so good. Such good customer service & we got a battery for the car our little one has been waiting patiently for.
Charged twice - now resolved
The batteries in our UPS failed. We called the store to ensure stock to save a trip and downtime on the system. We'd pulled the existing batteries out and determined we needed 16 x SHR-12 batteries. The call insisted we provide Ccard over the phone to secure order (I understand this). When we arrived to collect, they had the wrong batteries there (Wrong dimensions!!). Organised new one and said they would put the wrong batteries back in stock and the new ones drop shipped - change in price, another order. Well noticed on credit card stmt dual transactions. Went to Store and spoke with team and they assured that credit would come after the accounts person verified transaction status. Crickets.

Over charged and poor installation
Battery World Morayfield Found out I was over charged for a battery replacement for a Mercedes C300 battery, could have saved a few hundred dollars less for the same Varta battery. Not only that Battery World installed the battery and broke the main battery securing clamp coursing battery to be loose which I fixed up my self will never use them again 😔
NEED PROOF OF PURCHASE TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM! Read below to get the full story.
I have a battery charger Model number AD-M1997 1.5A output to maintain my cars 12v batteries. I bought the unit under 12 months ago and has worked fine. It was on one of my cars maintain the battery until I went to check on it, and it has no lights working saying what it was doing. Changed it to another battery and same thing. I then took the charger to another store because I'm away from my normal store. The person took the charger out to the rear of the store to test ( what I presumed he was doing) and came back do you have proof of purchase? Every thing I buy from my normal store, gets recorded onto there computer. I'm sure thay can find the proof of purchase on the computer. No he said. It's not like it's from another supplier, it has Battery World plasters over it. I purchased it less than 12 months ago and it hasn't performed as advised to fail in less than twelve months. So how was I going to provide proof of purchase when all my paperwork over a 100 km away. So I mentioned the word "consumer law" and he said me "To leave his store". I also explained if I was on the other side of the country and had the same scenario, would have I been treated the same way. So much for customer service and warranty. So the manager of the Malaga store Western Australia was very rude. He then retreated to the rear of the store and watched me through a viewing window so the next potential customer was told about the way he treats customers.
I will not be going back to that store again and advise any of my friends never go to their store again.
