Think twice before ordering from this site

So I've ordered three necklaces from this site without doing my proper research.
This is just a company donating an undisclosed amount of money to help bees.
Also, they use UPS to deliver items, which in Portugal means huge custom fees + UPS fees for dealing with customs.

Once I realized this, I tried canceling my order, just one or two hours after my order.
It was a Saturday and they were closed, so I thought there would be more than enough time to cancel, right?

Wrong, they replied on TUESDAY stating they couldn't cancel because the order had been shipped.

Well, this isn't true, not only because the order still says pending on their own site but also because I've checked with my bank and they haven't even received my money.

Also, now the order doesn't take just a couple of days to arrive, by their own admission it could take weeks.

So, no, I do not recommend ordering from this site ever.

We ship with UPS Mail Innovations, so the packages are delivered via the postal service, not UPS, and are rarely stopped by customs.

Our site is connected to our fulfillment partner's system, and all orders are submitted for fulfillment within moments of being placed. Even if your package has not been picked up by the carrier yet, it will have been staged for shipment, and placed with thousands of other packages shipped from the same fulfillment location.

We have had higher than normal support requests with it being Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend, the highest volume online shopping period of the year in the USA.

Our support portal is designed to immediately notify that there may be a delay in responding.

We apologize for any inconvenience. The likelihood of your order being stopped by customs is low given that it will be processed at a local postal package, and not a UPS package.

Taxes costs me half of total order amount

I ordered a Bumblebee Neclace + 1 of pair of Earrings for $62,98 USD. I had to pay $30 taxes when the parcel arrived in Europe, therefore it was not a good deal. There was no advertisement in their website or during order process that I had to pay taxes. I am very disappointed and I will never order anything here again.

Thank you for your review. I understand customs fees can be frustrating. The vast majority of our shipments are never stopped by customs, bit sometimes it happens.

However, YOU WERE notified during checkout, as no customer can complete their order on our site until a checkbox is manually clicked during checkout that acknowledges the customs notice. We make this a requirement BEFORE completing checkout so good people like you have the option of not continuing with their purchase if they don't want the small risk that a package may be stopped by customs.

We ship to hundreds of jurisdictions worldwide, and rely on customers to know their customs rules when selecting economy shipping.

Hi - I placed an order (number 135032) on 10 September and despite a very clear address to which many items have been delivered to date, my earrings have still not been delivered. I also can get no replies to my emails. As of tomorrow evening I will be out of town for the next 5 weeks so I need to give another address in another country. I see your order appears to have been lost by UAE Postal Service, and you chose insured shipping. We will gladly honor your request for a replacement, and have contacted you personally through Trust Pilot for the updated shipping address.

Billed Twice - Not My Fault

So Already I have had my money taken in questionable circumstances - ordered on one card that was 'rejected' to then order on another and find that they have taken both lots of my money and are unable to cancel my order as they 'ship fast'

To suggest I return the item (from UK) is crazy - I would like my money back and having requested it again they are now ignoring me.

Update - I have not 'chosen to be untruthful' at all. The first amount of money, which was on my Visa card, showed as not being accepted which is why I then tried again (successfully) using my Mastercard however you took the first lot of money anyway.

That is my issue which you seem unable to comprehend nor provide an adequate solution to

Despite what follows, your original message to us stated you had made 2 separate orders and wanted to cancel one. This story of declined cards and accusing us of charging you "under questionable circumstances" came up after you were notified that your orders had been processed into fulfillment and cancellation was not possible.

Mr. Hollison, in your update as written, you infer you were on the order checkout page and entered a credit card, but received an error message, and then entered a second credit card to complete your order, only to later find out you had been charged for the same order on both cards.

Order # 1 Nov 24 at 9:01a Not only did you successfully complete the original order, but you then navigated the order confirmation and clicked to accept a one-time discounted offer you were presented, which was processed as a separate transaction to be added to the original order. You navigated through the order confirmations, and for this original transaction you received 3 separate email confirmations as to the success of your order. One total order confirmation email from us, and 2 separate emails sent (payment confirmation emails ironically enough) separately via Stripe, a Global Leader in payment processing.

These emails are confirmed as sent at 09:01a, from 2 separate sources.

Order # 2 Nov 24 at 9:09a (8 minutes after the multiple order success and payment confirmations were delivered to your email inbox), you proceeded to go through a new checkout and accepted 2 separate post sale offers, resulting in 3 separate credit card charges authorized by you.

This resulted in more confirmation emails, including 3 emails from Stripe confirming payment.

You were not simply trying to finish your order after a payment failure. You in fact processed your card(s) 5 separate times on our site, for different items, in the span of 8 minutes, which required you to navigate through confirmation pages.

All of the transaction details are recorded by Shopify, a Global Leader in eCommerce. Including your journey through the order confirmation pages that followed, which you navigated through.

You later sent us a screenshot of text messages you allegedly received notifying you that some of your transactions to our site had been declined. That text message, the source of your accusations against us, was sent to you by whom? NOT BeeMission. If that image is authentic, whomever sent it to you is the responsible party.

You are attempting to hold us responsible, and knowingly falsely accusing us of nefarious activities based on something sent perhaps by your financial institution. In the meantime, before you placed a second separate order for different items and a different order total, you had already been notified three times of your successful payments via confirmation emails.

Not at any point did our system tell you there was an issue with your original payment. Had there been an issue, you would not have advanced to the confirmation pages to have the opportunity to accept the one-time offers your order qualified for, which you chose to accept. Any such error messages are recorded in the system, and recorded to your order profile. You acknowledged this, in fact, and showed us the text message as the source of your issue.

It is disappointing to us that you have chosen to be untruthful. I do understand from our support staff that you threatened to write a bad review if you didn't get your way, and in reality all we have really done is fulfill your order quickly, and offer to facilitate a return for you for the unwanted items. You do us a grave disservice, sir. Slander is unbecoming.

Despite all of this, we are happy to refund you for the order you don't want. Please contact us when you receive it, and we'll get your return sorted out for you.

You have 2 separate orders, for different items, and different totals. For the first order, you were sent 2 different payment confirmations, one from our site, one from Stripe (a global leader in payment processing), and these were delivered to you 9 minutes before you placed the second order.

You placed 2 separate orders, 10 minutes apart, for different order totals, on Sunday, November 24.

You wrote in acknowledging this, and asked us to cancel one of the orders, which we were unable to because it had entered fulfillment, for which you were provided tracking details.

It is a fair expectation that we offer refunds AFTER the items are returned.

I understand this may be disappointing to you, but we find it disappointing that you have chosen to be untruthful in your narrative. You make it sound like we double billed you, and sent out double merchandise in a scheme to keep your money. In reality, your orders were separated by time, and contained different items, for different totals, for which you paid separately.

All card transactions are processed by Stripe, one of the World's leading credit card processors. We do not store or even have access to your card details. If you have insufficient funds, Stripe will notify you of this during checkout, and require you to enter another card if you desire to complete the transaction.

We find it quite reasonable to offer you an opportunity to return products from a separate order you no longer wanted after ordering it.

We are happy to issue you a refund for that order which had entered fulfillment before we reviewed your message, but we do not issue refunds until you return the items.

Please let us know when you receive the package you'd like to return, and we'll happily assist you in returning your product.

However, I found it very unfair that the presence of customs and accessories shipping costs for shipments outside the USA are not reported at the time of purchase but only if they are actively searching in the menu. Especially since these costs were 30% of the total...

Bogus Bee jewelry company

I thought I was buying from your company as well. Instead I ordered from Save the Bees Nation. I didn’t get my order when I was supposed to so I tried to email them since there was no phone number. After 4 emails with no replies I finally received the earrings 8 weeks late from China in a cheap envelope. I don’t know how to post a review about that company so other people don’t get taken advantage of. Do you have any suggestions?

Sooo, you don't ship to Romania, that was a bit problematic, but with help from a friend, they arrived this week :) they are wonderful, very pretty and my wife is just in love with them. I would definitely recommend them, they are great at offering support with the tracking. Please start shipping to Romania, i can assure you that people here love bees. Also, great job for supporting the bees, we planted flowers on the balcony so we can atract them, and it worked :)

Order never arrived due to scam site

Initially I posted a negative review due to finding a scam site that I thought was legit (beemissionuk.com). I purchased a necklace and it never arrived, and after sending several emails I got no response. However, the actual beemission.com got in contact after my review to make sure the order wasnt placed through them, and to advise what steps to take to get my money back. If you actually deal with the right company, their customer service is good!

Hi Bee Mission,

Thanks for acknowledging this, I do now also believe it is a rippoff site using your pictures and name, and have reported this to the police as online fraud. I've changed my review so it may stay on here but help others that face the same problem.

Original complaint:

I paid £60 for 2 necklaces, have since written 2 emails, filed one online contact form, and have not only not received the necklaces, but also not one email, phone call or statement to explain what happened. No refund of the money, no tracking details, nothing.
It's most likely a scam, stay away.

We deal with "ripoff" sites, where our product images and descriptions are used to sell cheap, poor quality knockoffs shipped directly from China with unreliable shipping methods. The materials used in manufacturing these cheap knockoffs can be dangerous, and we proceed with DMCA Take-down requests whenever these sites pop up. We receive many inquiries every month from folks who are angry at us only to learn they didn't actually buy from us.

Many of the points in your review do not represent the functionality of Bee Mission, including being charged in GBP (all our orders are processed in USD), we do not have an online contact form on our site, nor do we display an email address. We manage all support requests through a ticketing system, and if you did email the store, you would receive an immediate response with a link to the support portal. All orders are automatically processed for shipping immediately at the time of order, and an automated system would send you tracking details, etc.

Without knowing your name or order number it makes it difficult to look into this further, but given what you have described, it seems your experience was with a third party site that has used our content without our permission.

We've contacted you privately through Trust Pilot requesting more information to determine whether you ordered from us or not. Please respond through Trust Pilot, and we'll get to the bottom of this. Thank you

Darling necklace!

We ordered a bee charm necklace for our teenage daughter - she had found it online and wanted one. BeeMission was great with communication - we got updates when the order was placed, shipped, and expected delivery. And when the necklace arrived, we were delighted! It is darling - and on a nice silver chain. VERY happy with the BeeMission product and service. Bonus - they support bee populations and health - love that too.
