Ignorant and uncaring.

On 22/12/24 I was due to fly to Canada from Heathrow so I booked a room at the Best Western Heathrow Ariel hotel for 21/12/24. My mother was admitted to end of life care and on 05/12/24 I decided to cancell my trip to Canada. That same day, out of courtesy, I contacted both Booking.com and the hotel by phone to infom them of my situation and tell them they could make the room available to other customers. I asked the hotel if, in this exceptional circumstance, I could be issued a credit for the hotel to use when I rebooked my Canada trip. The hotel told me thet Booking.com had to request this which they kindly did. I received an e-mail confirming that the request had been made but that the hotel had not responded. On 22/12/24 I received an e-mail stating that the Ariel hotel had informed Booking.com that I had not arrived and to explain why. I found this surprising as I had spoken to the hotel reception on 05/12/24. I found it disgraceful that the hotel had ignored both my and Bookin.com's request and that their overiding attitude was one of disinterest given such distressing circumstances. In truth I found their attitude uncaring and rather distasteful. I had done all I could to give them the opportunity to make the room available ( 16 days in fact ) but they simply didn't care. I shall never book a Best Western hotel again and shall ensure any future holiday I book, does not use Best Western .

Best western PLUS Bakersfield Amerika…

Best western PLUS Bakersfield Amerika kamer genomen wat blijkt bad en douche stuk kleerkast stuk en wc die niet doorspoeld en bij inchecken was de kamer duurder omdat het een luxe kamer wad de incheckbalie op de hoogte gebracht maar konden niets betekenen een echte schande dus nimmer zeker van Best! Western Plus nu hebben ze ook ook Miserie western MIN

Het betreft het best western hotel in Beaune Frankrijk

Het betreft het best western hotel in Beaune, Frankrijk.
De kamer was gedateerd maar dat was al zichtbaar op de foto’s. Daar was de prijs/kwaliteitesverhouding ook naar.
Echter het ontbijt was een drama. Toen wij binnen kwamen waren de borden, glazen en messen op. Die stonden in de vaatwasser. Die kwamen na enkele minuten maar er waren zo weinig messen en glazen dat gasten regelmatig misgrepen. De kan jusd’orange ontbrak. Die stond in zijn geheel bij een gast op tafel.
Om half negen was alle jam op, slechts vier lege potten resteerden. Het stokbrood werd spaarzaam aangevuld en regelmatig grepen gasten mis.
Gasten gingen zelf maar naar de spoelkeuken om bestek en servies te vragen.
Vanuit de bediening kwamen er geen bevredigende antwoorden. Een dramatisch ontbijt waarvoor je apart betaalt.

Hotel Spaander , een bouwput

Naar aanleiding van ‘De ontdekking van Holland’ het nieuwe boek van Jan Brokken , wat onderwerp was bij de Boekenclub van Eus afgelopen maandag op tv , een reservering gemaakt bij hotel Spaander omdat we voornamelijk geïnteresseerd waren in de 1400 schilderijen die in het hotel zouden hangen. Wat een teleurstelling en we voelen ons flink bedonderd. Het hotel was een grote puinhoop , eetzalen werden gesloopt en alle schilderijen waren opgeslagen. Op de kamer was de beton boor te horen. Let wel ! op de site van Hotel wordt niet gerept dat alles door verbouwing/renovatie overhoop ligt. Het ontbijt , kost €17,50 extra , werd geserveerd in de bar die ook helemaal overhoop lag. Had me verheugd op een uitgebreid ontbijt , wat ik toch wel mocht verwachten voor die prijs , maar het was niets bijzonders. 1 soort kaas , 2 soorten broodjes , lauwe melk en jus d'orange. Geen roerei , bacon etc. Koffie uit een apparaat wat we zelf niet mochten bedienen en overal buitenlands personeel die niet veel weten. Volendam was mooi maar het hotel een grote miskleun.Hoorde van een medewerker dat de eigenaar , Best Western , bewust niets op de site vermeld van de verbouwing , omdat ze bang zijn dat er dan niemand meer komt.

Disgusting, Atrocious, worst Xmas Day meal EVER

Aberafan Beach Hotel, Port Talbot
We booked our Christmas Day lunch at this hotel. NEVER AGAIN !! When we arrived we were told to go into the dining room and look for our name to find our table. We had to pass the breakfast buffet table with items still on it which had not been cleared away. When we found our table, no one came to take our drinks order and when I asked I was told to go to the bar, which was in another room, and get them ourselves. The bar was unmanned.

The meal when it came was absolutely DISGUSTING and only fit for the bin! The broccoli was yellow, the sprouts brown and the rest of the veg was dried up and discoloured. It was too horrid to attempt to eat. The chef, if there was one, should be ashamed and should be sacked.

When I asked for a refund I was given it immediately without question. Obviously it was expected and most likely was not the first such request. When we were leaving a table of pensioners asked why we we were leaving and said it was the worst food they had ever had too. Their plates were full of uneaten inedible food.

Fail to refund and ignore you

I Pre paid through booking.com for BWH at Montgomery, Carmichael Road, Alabama 36106.
On arrival 17 June 2023 I was informed that the pool was closed. I asked if I could have a full refund and leave. The staff agreed and said booking.com would be refunded.
Booking.com did not receive the refund and the hotel has ignored their enquiries.
I have contacted the hotel and been ignored. I wrote a complaint to BWH head office and they did response - This needs to be sorted through the hotel!!!!!

Accommodation for wake

I was recently at a wake reception at Best Western Hotel Knights Hill King's Lynn.
The reception was for 50 and the accommodation provided was in my view totally inadequate with people almost sitting on one another.Not what you want for such a solum occasion.

Do Not Book with These Guys

I booked with them in 2011 as my sister was coming in town in Vienna for a visit. She cancelled and so I cancelled the reservation with the hotel more than a month in advance. Nevertheless, the hotel charged me for the entire planned duration, claiming I never cancelled. The manager responded in a rude manner that he would have returned the money but because of my attitude as he claimed he wont. The hotel gave me a $50 gift card in compensation. Pathetic company. For reference, the person who failed to cancel my reservation is Lina Michel, the file name opened after my inquiry into their theft of my money without even a signatur is 110809-2465 , and the name of the so called customer service person Elisabeth Cole Espinoza.
