Im a pensioner and I opened my account late 2021. Set up all my limits. Everything fine until yesterday (18/07/22).
Without warning, I was locked out of my account. Which in turn locked me out of my Bet Angel account. The latter charges a subscription fee, so it’s a cost to me. It’s all rather inconvenient.
When I contacted them, I was advised I needed to upload a multitude of verification docs. Which I’d done not 8 months ago. I wasn’t at home and was unable to do so at that time.
Now a hard days work picking fixtures, loading them into my Bet Angel guardian… Was gone. A complete waste of time.
Any other bookmaker sends you a notification or advises you that your details need updated. They don’t just boot you out. Shambles.
I’ll be 78 years old later this month. This was a great way to keep me mindful. To test my wits against others.
I won’t be updating my details, as I won’t be taking the chance that your shambles of company can just step in out of nowhere and lock me out of my own account, and in turn lock me out of my Bet Angel account.
So unprofessional.

For the love of god. Stay away from this company. They will collect your money with no issue but when you want to withdraw the money you will wait weeks. Complete useless and time wasting. You will spend hours dealing with customer service representatives, if not days. Find another alternative. Don’t ever use this betfair. You can’t call anyone nor communicate. Ask them something like this , can I have this email as confirmation they can’t even do that. It’s just such a waste of time. I spent thousands on this betfair but I ever experienced such a terrible and unlawful experience.

Definitely set up to fleece your well earned cash. Don’t play the slots it’s designed to rob you!!! The worst site I’ve played on it’s horrendous. They give you a little bit then take everything horrid place to play.

Opened an account verified it deposit money and because I had excluded my self from paddy power they closed my account and keep my money how trampish you dirty scums anything to rob people

I so wish i read the reviews before signing up. Spent different amounts over few days an what a waste. My latest was 60 or 80 pound playing big bass bonanza an not one bonus.. Don't waste ya money on betfair. Must be the worst slots I've ever played. Out of £100 the biggest win was £2. Most other wins are pennies.

Betfair used to be the greatest exchange, but since being taken over by Paddy Power their service has continuously declined.

Today was a case in question, for about 1.5 hours the service was having problems that affected customers differently.

The correct action would have been to annul all the bets/trades in that time period. But hey, this is Paddy Power we're talking about, they would lose all their commission!

So like other clients after so many years, I and 10 other friends are leaving Betfair. It's service is now a costly joke.

Anybody wanting to join Betfair, read the comments here, they'll give you some idea of how Betfair is now.

Betfair have suspended my account for reasons unknown. I have been trying for many months to access my funds with no success. All attempts to contact online are unsuccessful and their advertised phone line is permanently closed. Can anyone help.

I have tried twice to communicate with them over separate issues recently. Their "chatbot" automated service is not fit for purpose. Fortunately, my issues are trivial, but if it were something major I would be livid. Communication was better in the past.

They want so much off you to verify your account I've done all documentation with emails n with agents time n time again.dont play or give them any money till your account is FULLY OPEN . And then they will find a reason why not to pay. Its a scam stear clear or put any money you don't want into my bank account, lol no joke, avoid

I was steered by betfairs rules (probably imposed on them to be fair) to take winnings as a gift token. I wanted cash, but hey. Problem : No gift card arrived. An hour on befair support to be told I need to deal with prizeout, a third party company to try to sort this. This is Betfairs problem, they should sort it.

Opened an account, did my first bet, which was a mistake.
Wasn't giving me the option to cash out to ammend it.
Did a live chat, and they was about as much use as a ashtray on a motorbike.

Disgraceful customer service. After depositing £100 to my account. An error noticed popped up. 😳 after contacting them they said I would have to wait 7 working days and confirm wether it had left my bank account. After confirming with my bank that the transaction had gone through I contacted customer service again. This can only be done online. After 8 weeks of being told they are prioritising my complaint, I have not been refunded or had the money added to my account. My money is in betfair limbo despite the fact they have confirmed they have it. And I have no other way to try to get it resolved. Absolutely disgusted with the whole thing. Betfair obviously cannot be trusted. Deserve no stars and a big red flag . 🚩

I had a winning lay bet on Algeria 2nd league, winnings were taking hours to appear. When I contacted, was told it was voided as "no-one was watching the match" So I was denied a perfectly good winning bet for no reason! DISGUSTING! MY FUNDS WILL BE MOVING ELSEWHERE!
