If you’re looking for a service that delivers on time, look elsewhere. But if you’re into suspense, emotional rollercoasters, and the thrill of wondering whether your order will arrive today, tomorrow, or never — BigBasket is perfect for you.

They don’t just delay deliveries — oh no, they elevate it into an art form. Cancellations? Smooth, effortless, like they’ve been training for it their whole lives. Recently, after filling out their survey, I received a call with heartfelt promises that my return order would be picked up today. I almost believed it. I waited. And waited. And waited some more. By evening, the suspense was over — not with a pickup, but with a stealthy cancellation.

Honestly, I’ve stopped thinking of them as a grocery delivery app. They’re more like a subscription to unpredictable surprises and broken promises. For actual groceries, though? You might want to try… literally anywhere else.

One of the worst service ever

One of the worst service ever. Seems like Tata’s are losing all customer service focus. Probably need a new leader up there. It’s going down the drain. Weather it’s deliver, products or customer service representatives. Never ordering from here again. Too much competition out there to stick with a stale company.

They are selling Tata simply better ground nut oil (5lts can) @₹1805/- ,plus ,claiming that it is ₹95 off.
In reality The same is available at Tata simply better website @₹1615/- !!
Unscrupulous & poor business ethics!
Making a neat profit of ₹190/- & also misleading the customer.
Poor Mr.Tata,.. must be rolling over in his grave 😕

was shocked to receive an expired…

was shocked to receive an expired coriander powder in my recent BigBasket order. This isn’t just a minor issue — it's a breach of basic food safety. Also hoping this was an isolated incident, because knowingly delivering expired food is a serious offense.Refund ain't enough for these food frauds.

Lost trust in BigBasket.

Lost trust in BigBasket.
Found bugs inside a sealed pasta packet we ordered — extremely disappointing and unacceptable. From now on, I’ll only use BigBasket for non-food items like soaps and detergents, where expiry and hygiene aren’t as critical. Please ensure better quality control!

Convenient but Needs Improvement

BigBasket offers a wide range of groceries and household items, making online shopping convenient. However, the quality of vegetables is often subpar, with reports of stale or spoiled produce being delivered. Delivery delays are another concern, with orders frequently arriving later than the scheduled time or being canceled without prior notice. While customer support is responsive and refunds are processed for reported issues, the recurrence of these problems suggests a need for systemic improvements.

Big basket is no longer a trusted…

Big basket is no longer a trusted brand- missing items during delivery is common, stale food also common, refunds happen only in 24 hrs so one cannot even use the same money to reorder...above all of you reorder again service charge has to be paid although the fault is from the end of Bigbasket ...highly disappointing ...customer service also takes ages to resolve the issues...absolute harrassment for customers

BB NOW IS A total scam

BB NOW IS A total scam. They send expired, rotten and incorrect products and their customer support is pathetic. No proper response and their TAT to pick up return product is 11.59pm.

Dont waste your time and money. Please be thoughtful before placing an order with Big Basket. You will loose your money and end up chasing customer support for assistance which you will never get.

Bigbasket SCAM

We order some vegetables throw bigbasket and some were not in a good quality and one packet was fully damaged so initiated a return pickup but they didn't come for pickup and they gave us refund .after sometime the delivery man came without any call or anything he ended into our premises without our permission.and asked for the one perticular product and if I didn't given the product he telling us that we should pay him 500. I complaint to the customer care ane they told us not to give back beacuse already we msged that u can keep and we have refunded . After sometime from unknown number started calling and talking in bad manner that we should give back the product or pay amount. And they are threatening us that they will stop the delivery for us and all . Very horrible experience with bigbasket and customer care team .

In my opinion the brand is going to…

In my opinion the brand is going to perish soon as people realize that BB tying up with local shopkeepers due to competition has damaged their reputation.
When ordering online from BB they deliver very old products nearing expiry date.
I had ordered Kaju katli for a few friends,
Imagine the horror when one box of sweets had fungus in it,and when you try to complain and upload the pictures it shows as technical error.
I had to the box away. A second time I ordered online the product was shown as delivered for which I got a refund.
Once again ordered 3 boxes of kaju katli and all had manufacturers date as Dec 2024, where as I had ordered towards end of February , I placed a request to take back the products but till now no one has come to pick it up.
In short I feel it's better not to order anything from BB as instead of it being convenient it is causing me loss of revenue and old products being send

I HAVE ORDERED A Lifelong 1400W Fryo Air
Fryer - LLHF421 1 pc ON 24/01/2025 THROUGH BIGBASKET REPUBLIC DAY SALE AN RECEIVED THE SAME ON 25/01/2025 IN DAMAGED CONDITION. ON CONTACTING CUSTOMER CARE, THEY HAVE REPLIED THAT THEY HAVE NO RESPONSIBILTY AND CONTACT THE SUPPLIER. IT MEANS BISBASKET IS CHEATING PUBLIC IN THE NAME OF REPUBLIC DAY AND ALSO DAMAGING THE NATION'S PRESTIGE ALSO. ONE SHOULD NEVER VIST THIS SITE AND PURCHASE THINGS FROM BIGBASKET.

I subscribed for BB daily service on…

I subscribed for BB daily service on 8th Jan, and ever since I haven't received my proper order. When you complaint to the customer service team, they provide a refund and promise that things will improve and they have escalated it. I don't think any one cares about how customers feel and this is ridiculous. This has become a morning ritual for me to check my order and then call the customer service team for the missing or incorrect items. I'm tired of this and want someone to take action.

After raising multiple grievances with Big Basket's customer service team , I have understood that they don't care for customer issues. I have even escalated to the customer service supervisor multiple times.
unfortunately I have left the brand I loved for long and moved to new grocery supplier.

Huge let down in service.

Third order of Bbasket went wrong and it is very disappointing to know that a brand like Tata is clearly wrong hands of management. Other online vendors like Zepto are doing excellent compared to this one. I am regular online purchaser for vegs and groceries, Bbasket ensures there will atleast two items rotten or damaged packing of the items. There is clearly no QC done. However there is refund but perishable items that have shorter expiry date is not returnable after 48hrs. On the other hand, if your packet is close to expiry and you miss checking the veg then you are at a loss, because the item would already be in last stage. Almost stale product.

Pathetic Customer Care

I changed my mobile number and the service provider from Vodafone to Airtel and then the experience with their customer care to transfer the wallet balance to new mobile number started. They have hired one of most unprofessional people for customer care and therefore after many emails to them I decided to forego the wallet balance.

Worst Customer Service and delay in delivery with partially order fulfilment

Hi Team,

This is my last official email due to lack of communication within your own team of operation or warehouse or between delivery agent and packaging department. I have all the proof where in most of the orders either you took returned the product or else denied to delivery at last moment.

You always regret what you're doing with false information and advertisement that you have the product. But in the end of the ast moment the scenario changed.

With an example of one of the cases where the delivery man came on its electric scooty having a total of three bags of my ordered items and rest one of others. He didn't has any option to take one another order or big 50 or more than 50 littre bucket. As a result he said sir the bucket was not provided and it's out of stock the supervisor said the same over the call.

Hence, returned complete order. I contacted one of your agent and she said the order can not deliver with this order and I can place another order if I can see on a page. She also said she can not write anything back to me in written over an email because she has not assign any email id nor her department has any.

I tried to contact with her supervisor and now scenario changed he said the product is out of stock. I said I can order but he said it's out of stock (OOS). Hence, to proove I placed an order and he surprised. Now he confirmed from warehouse and said it's OOS. Within the call the price of this specific product got hiked upto 1400+. I share this scenario to him and with his backend ir technical team or else on its own he reverse the amount of this product to the last price at what I ordered.

Surprisingly he is not accepting that price was changed by the team and hence I started a chat and shared screenshot with no success because he didn't want to accept. So, I ended up with this guy as well and hanged up the call.

Now, due to their internally escalation and my order amount was in their custody. They get back to me and called with two different lady/girl and one person and try to understand the same complete scenario again and again with no success. All are providing generic responses and explanations.

From the time this first incident was happened to me I placed many orders of the same product and mobile app, my laptop/pc allowing me to place an order without any hurdle. This order will get rejected during the last hours of its packaging after seeing my name and account. Still available but all agents saying the item is OOS or has technical issues.

If you're right then you should inform this on any of the following: social media, newspaper, Television, at your app, at your websites or any other where customer usually visit because whenever it's call of customer to return, escalation, payment, refund, Complaint etc you use your own made policies to protect yourself. So where is customer's rights. Can you confirm if the customer has free time, money, mind, energy, person, asset to waste on you and for your policies and business and negligence?

What's the customer's fault when he paid always in advance and try not escalate the cases, take minor damage, burst, open package after paying full amount with close mount. Should the customer run round and round due to your negligence and bad habits? Is this kind of customer's service and support you provide to your customers to run your business or else your business is at now top notch and no one is competitor against you inside the market to provide more customer centric service?

The great thing is if customer faced such obstacles due to your business operation and management fauilure he can't cancel with proper resons because he has no option to select instead to cancel the order showing that customer wants to cancel his order on his own choice without any issues. Secondly, you don't have 1800... or 1860... free call. He has to spend his own hard earned money to cry in front of you over a call to explain all the things from scratch and without any success. Because you always says next time this will not happen but actually due to practice you have it happens.

Customer use online or e-commerce business due to lesser time availability and his own ease but with such frequent breakdowns and repeatedly hurting scenario really harass the customer and insult him or her.
