I purchased 2 new business Apple Iphones from Apple directly under a Hire Purchase Agreement set up by Apple's Partners. On reading the agreement it clearly stated you are required to take out insurance and they could request to see it at anytime.

What they didn't say is that once the phones are in your posession they pass the details onto their insurance administrators, who state that any insurance but theirs has to be downloaded to a portal by the insurance company themselves or weirdly the insurance company can ring?? No mention of accepting a legally binding email confirming the policy.

What insurance company is going to take the time to do that?? Plus, if you failed to produce the policy in this manner they would automatically add their own premium to the policy. No sign from this company of what that policy intails!!

The whole situation is appalling and Apple don't seem to have a handle at all on ths behaviour.

I was determined to find my own and came across BiMPY online. I explained the situation to them. it was something they had come across before weirdly from the same insurance administrators.

Jemma and Paul could not have done enough for me. They were so professional and knowledgeable. Their indept knowledge of the law surrounding this and how it should be handled was exelempary! I have never come across a company who went so above and beyond to ensure their customer got the right result.

Emails were sent on my behalf to the insurance administrators and eventually we got a TOP RESULT. I got to keep my insurance through BiMPY and the policy was accepted by the administators.
