Great product- I've bought many pairs…

Great product- I've bought many pairs over the years. However....why would a premium brand use the UK's worst delivery company? Evri lost my shoes and they where never found. It took several call to Birkenstock customer services to determine they where lost and order a new set. they arrived three weeks after my planned holiday... please use Royal mail or DHL or any other delivery company.

Quality products let down by a shambolic direct‑ordering experience

We’re a Birkenstock believer family—loyal fans of the brand—so ordering a new pair for my wife’s birthday felt like a safe bet. Unfortunately, everything fell apart once the parcel left the warehouse.

Courier failure, zero communication: Evri “misplaced” the shipment, and I had to chase every update myself. Birkenstock’s customer service went silent after my initial report; no proactive follow‑up at all.

Late admission, slow refund: It took over a week just to confirm the sandals were lost, and I was told the refund would take 10 working days.

No replacement offered: Not even a token attempt to resend the item or offer expedited shipping. The birthday surprise was simply written off.

Better deal elsewhere: I eventually bought the exact model from an unrelated retailer—£20 cheaper and delivered on time.

We still love Birkenstock footwear, but ordering direct from the official site? Never again. The “German precision” reputation clearly didn’t make it to their UK logistics. Disappointing.

Change their delivery providers!

Change their delivery providers! Whilst Birkenstock are quality products their delivery providers Evri are shockingly bad!

I was told that Evri had tried to deliver and I had rejected item! Whereas I was home awaiting arrival… on contacting Birkenstock directly and explaining I was informed they would contact Evri to redeliver. Needless to say the next email was from Birkenstock to say that my item was on it’s way back to them and they would give me a refund and I could reorder.

Item is now showing as out of stock and obviously would not want a repeat experience.

Need to check I also get the extortionate delivery charge back with my refund!

Do not order direct from Birkenstock would be my advice or Birkenstock please get a decent delivery provider, we are after all paying for a service!

Absolutely Atrocious Customer Service – Avoid Ordering Direct

While Birkenstock makes excellent products, their customer service is hands-down the worst I’ve encountered in retail.

My parcel was lost by Evri for over a month, and Birkenstock simply didn’t care. Contacting their online chat was a complete waste of time—the agent clearly didn’t want to hear the full story and abruptly terminated the chat. No follow-up. No support. Just total indifference.

Eventually, Evri located the package and delivered it a month late. The item was the wrong size, so I returned it. Birkenstock confirmed the return and stated a refund would be processed to the original payment method within 1–2 days.

Ten days later—nothing. I emailed them, and their response was beyond belief: they asked me to send my bank details via email instead of refunding to the card used for the purchase. In 2025, a company of this size asking customers to send sensitive data unencrypted? Unbelievable.

After chasing again, I was told it would take another 8 working days to process the refund. Enough was enough— 7 May I contacted my bank and initiated a chargeback.

In short:
• Products are good.
• Delivery is unreliable.
• Customer support is disgraceful.
• Refund process is slow, insecure, and amateurish.

Birkenstock clearly does not care about its customers once the sale is made. I strongly advise against ordering directly from them—you’re on your own if anything goes wrong.

No goods, no contact, no refund.

As so many other reviewers seem to be saying - Evri failed to deliver, and every attempt I have made to contact Birkenstock has been met with a boiler-plate bot response. Order placed mid-April. No order, no refund. Disgraceful.

May 12th - still no sign of promised refund.

I so wish we had read the reviews…

I so wish we had read the reviews before placing an order for two pairs of men’s Birkenstock sandals to give my son the choice as a gift. Needless to say Evri failed to deliver and Birkenstock are “looking into it” and her over a week after the items should have arrived, still no resolution. No one is available in customer services due to the “holidays” - so perhaps a message which is a week out of date? Son due to return to university this weekend, still no shoes and I am over £200 out of pocket. Terrible customer service despite them being aware of this situation. I would strongly advise this company is avoided, hopeless customer service which if I could - I would give zero stars for.

Birkenstock Honnef sneakers

Purchased the Honnef sneakers for £160 from an authorised retailer and after less than 2 years of occasional use it’s already falling apart. Literally. Complained to Birkenstock only to be told they can’t do nothing as the product wasn’t purchased from them. But it’s their product regardless of where it was purchased and the manufacturer should take the full responsibility for the product and considering the heavy price tag they definitely should. However I am pretty sure that Birkenstock would have declined any assistance even if it was purchased directly from them. Auf wiedersehen Birkenstock, this was a short friendship 😊

disappointingly poor service and responsibility to fulfil order

clogs ordered 4 April. Postage paid for standard service which is stated as 2-5 days. Messaged to track Evri delivery. seems it reached them on 8 April. no further progress. Emailed Birkenstock 14 April and got an auto reply. Phoned 15 April and assured it would be investigated. suggested I chase up Evri, but there is no option to do that! Shortly after, received an email confirming Evri unable to confirm processing order and advising me to contact Birkenstock 23 April if no further forward. I have now repeated request for delivery soon or refund.

Poor refund process

Returned faulty sandals in the UK and still have not received refund 21 working days later (B achknowledged the refund and promised to refund in 10 days) despite endless chasing. Be warned.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Ordered £210 sandals . On 01/04
. Wrong size . Returned them . Reordered . Right size on the box wrong size in the box . Returned them . Reordered . Arrive right size on the box . Right size shoe . Right style shoe on the box .?Different style of sandal to the one ordered. Spoken to customer service 3 times and nobody really seems bothered and blames it on the warehouse . Also they use Evri for shipping which is probably about right because they are useless as well . CHOOSE A DIFFERENT BRAND . The product itself looks quite good but the SEVICE IS NEXT TO NON EXISTENT.
13 days , 3 sets of wrong sandals . 3return . 3 phone call to ‘ customer service’ and still no nearer to having a pair of sandals to wear

DO NOT USE

For a start, Birkenstock use Evri to deliver their products. A quick google search shows that Evri lose 22 thousand parcels every day! Unfortunately mine seemed to be one of these 22 thousand. Each time I tried to contact the customer services section of Birkenstock, I got the standard 'very busy 24 hour before reply' email, which is really frustrating. Then they would reply with a 'can't do anything until the 7th April'. I just wish I had looked at these reviews before making a purchase. They have now confirmed that they have no idea where my order is and have confirmed that I will be refunded in 10 working days. I have very little confidence this will happen. Update - it did happen and I now have my refund however, take my advice - DO NOT USE.

Dreadful experience

Dreadful experience, sent two mismatched clogs, and then dreadful customer service, would not send replacement, had to return then reorder, and that would be an extra delivery fee. Do not respond to emails, just very frustrating. Will never order again.

Absolutely abysmal service from Birks…

Absolutely abysmal service from Birks and Evri. Used Applepay to pay for my sandals, they removed the first line of my address so sandals returned. My son ordered some for me for Mother’s day and it did the same thing. Evri has claimed they’ve been delivered - supporting photo was of a random parcel on the passenger seat of a car! Now in dispute with Birks AND Evri and we’re are down £240. Both have appalling customer service. DO NOT BUY ONLINE FROM BIRKENSTOCK - they are shockingly bad and disinterested in helping. EVRI AND BIRKS ARE ROBBERS AND THIEVES!! DISGRACEFUL 😡

17/04 After writing to the MD of Birkenstock UK and speaking to a helpful lady on Reception at the London Head Office address, I am pleased to report that we have now received a full refund. I am convinced had I not done that (written and called) I would still be waiting for action. I did also state that I would be taking legal action. Take heed - ordering from Birkenstock (Germany) is a bloody nightmare!!

If I could put no stars I would

If I could put no stars I would. Terrible goods not received customer service shocking via email and on the phone . Still no goods and no refund have had to open a dispute with PayPal. Evri stated goods were delivered after they stated sorry for the delay . Shocking all round service from both Birkenstock and Evri . £50.95 lighter hopefully Paypal refunds me . Absolutely disgusted will never buy from them again !

Ordered a pair of stone arizona’s for…

Ordered a pair of stone arizona’s for an up coming trip - the email invoice stated the wrong size so I contacted Birkenstock online…. I Haven’t had a reply from the online customer services for 48 hours and the guy on the phone this morning said he couldn’t do anything like cancel the order.. he was very unhelpful. I also used a promo code for a small discount and would have just ordered a new pair and sent the first ones back.. instead I’m left with a pair arriving that aren’t going to fit me. Which I’ll have to wait to receive and reorder some!!! This strikes me as odd!!
I’ll buy some via another shop and wouldn’t use them again.
