Since the cork is a natural material it can sometimes be bigger than usual but do not worry it will shrink with time and your bottle will be easier to close after uses.

Love the bottles but arrived damaged
I ordered two of the bottles becaus I already have one and think they are excellent. Unfortunately one of the charcoals arrived broken, I called customer service who said they would send one out straight away, they were very helpful. Unfortunately this replacement hasn't arrived yet. I have tried to use half of the broken charcoal however this leaves fragments of charcoal in my water.

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't yet received your replacement charcoal.
Due to the fact that the binchotan charcoal stick is an organic element, it is possible that the charcoal breaks sometimes.
I understand that you are disappointed but I would like you to know that the broken charcoal will still perform its job perfectly well, and will filter your water the same way the long stick would have done. i would be happy to replace your charcoal this time and it would be great if you could provide us with a picture of the broken charcoal and confirm your delivery address askme@black-blum.com. Once the information has been received I will make sure it gets sent as soon as possible.
Also, since the binchotan charcoal is a natural material that can sometimes break into little black fragments into the water. Please rest assured that the water is still safe to drink – Active charcoal is actually good for you - it can be also find in tablets to helps ease digestion.
For the time being, if the blacks pieces remain a problem we recommend to rinse your bottle and charcoal when necessary.

Packing waste disgraceful
I ordered three charcoal filter sticks which arrived as predicted which was great as I was travelling the next day. However, they arrived in a huge box with a large amount of packing which was completely unnecessary. The order could have very easily fit into a medium jiffybag, or a box 1/4 the size. Very disappointed as I was under the impression that black+blum were a conscientious company and are aware of environmental needs.

Black and Blom's website is easy to navigate and the service received is slick. I received my order seven days following my order which is not the fastest response but perfectly acceptable for my needs.

Poor packaging
I ordered a spare motor for a fan. It arrived quickly but was packed poorly. The motor was encased in a polystyrene mould but the edges of the mould were rough. This lead to lot of polystyrene bits stuck in the motor's cavities. As the bits were statically charged, it was difficult to clean the motor prior to installation.
Blum products are well designed but the service dept needs improvement.

We are sorry to hear the issue you have had with your replacement Propello motor.
This issue is really unusual. Please note that we packed the replacement motor in his original polystyrene box to protect it in transit and we didn't expect that polystyrene bits will come off and stuck the motor's cavities.
