Awful customer service

Worst first car experience ever, customer service is next to nothing once you’ve signed everything. Firstly lied to about the condition of the car, as the video sent to me did not show any signs of marks/scratches, so it was baffling as to why when I arrived to pick my car up, the bonnet had numerous scratches along the front which was apparently missed due to ‘sun light’ on the day of the video, and the steering wheel would not manually turn back to me when turning corners when driving, it was then offered to be re-painted free of charge if I brought the car back to the dealership, which I was insulted as to why I would have to bring it back due to their mistake and dishonesty. Finally came to an agreement that my car would be picked up for me and driven back to the dealership and a courtesy car given, received next to no updates for the entire 3 weeks that my car was gone and unsure as to why it even took this long, was then called to advise my car would be being dropped off, I queried if the wheel had been looked into and was told it would be looked into that day! Then another call 40 mins later to advise they had found an issue with the brakes and a part needed to be ordered, why this was only discovered on the day of returning the call after having it already for 3 weeks I’ll never know, then received a call the next day advising the part had been delivered and my car would be dropped off the following day, heard absolutely nothing the following day and had to contact the branch manager myself to get an update. There has rarely been any form of apology for this abysmal customer service and dishonesty, me and my partner have had to constantly badger for updates, my partner more so as I’m unable to constantly make/take calls due to work which they do not seem to consider, as my numerous requests to discuss via email have mostly been ignored/advised to call instead which isn’t suitable for me. Car was finally dropped off the following day, and apparently there ended up not being an issue with the brakes, as another member of staff then told me the car just needed a ‘run around’ unsure why I am being told different things, and unsure why the car needed a ‘run around’ when it had already been driven from St Anne’s to Manchester. Wheel is still an issue when turning. Still waiting for an email back from the branch manager to my email sent on 04/05 but I won’t hold my breath and refuse to chase this any longer, have since passed it over to the Motor Ombudsman who have advised they can investigate it further. Would not recommend, most stressful experience of my life!

Order a car in January ready April,got told delayed by a week,get all paper work sign it then to be told no car don’t know when it’s be here
Service terrible,asked for time to speak to manager still waiting,sent email to head office still no reply

poor service sold a £30000 pound used car full of scratches down both sides they even ceramic coated over them and bodged up paint work really felt let down with this dealership after spending so much money

Blackpool SEAT

Nathan was excellent from start to finish. He was attentive and welcoming, whilst also conversing with another customer. He was very through so managed to find a car that was exactly what we were looking for. Initially it was hard to get numbers for a potential deal, though it appeared this was nothing to do with Nathan and more to do with the policies SEAT follow. A great experience and really quick collection of car following test drive and first visit.

Broken agreement by Southport Honda...

In December 2024, I rejected a new Honda Jazz supplied by Southport Honda. The car had visibly distorted metalwork above two doors. This damage was not disclosed to me by the dealership.

After I pointed out the defects to the sales manager, he agreed that I could reject the damaged car and receive a full refund. But when I requested that our agreement be put in writing, he refused. When I wrote and signed a rejection and handed it to him, he told me that he would not sign any "little bits of paper". He then reneged on our agreement, refused to give me a refund and urged me to drive the car away. I refused to take delivery of the damaged car.

I immediately reported this matter in a letter to Cox Motor Group. After two months, I have had no response.

Southport Honda have both the car and my money. I have had to engage a solicitor to inform the dealership of my consumer rights. I am still awaiting a resolution of this distressing matter.

Until Southport Honda improve their customer service by honouring sales agreements, upholding consumer rights and dealing with customers in a professional manner, there is no way I recommend doing business with this dealership or Cox Motor Group.

New Car

I recently got a new car with Seat and it was a professional and simple experience, Bianca and Kay were really helpful and made everything easy, they also sorted me the perfect car! I definitely recommend Seat

Really sad with the customer service…

Really sad with the customer service from this company. Having been treated badly by a small motor dealer I went to Cox Motor Group to hopefully receive the care I needed. It is a major dealership in the north west.

I bought a second hand car - Skoda Fabia with one previous owner - from Blackpool Automart (part of Cox Motor Group). It was three years old and cost £10K.

I was assured that as I lived 60 miles away any issues covered by the warranty could be dealt with by the branch in Kendal (where I live).

In the six month warranty period a problem developed with the infotainment screen and I was assured that it could be dealt with at Kendal.

As I was about to book this in I noticed that the paintwork on the rear driver's side wheel arch was bubbling. When I checked further I found there was corrosion across the whole of the rear driver's side wheel arch.

I asked for this to be dealt with at Kendal (under the 6 month warranty) to be told that I had to go to Lancaster (30 miles).

I spent today going to Lancaster (awful weather and had to get the bus back to Kendal, took all day) to be told that it would now have to go to Blackpool which is 60 miles away.

Frankly there are two faults with the car and Cox Motor Group are trying to make life really difficult for me despite the issue being with their quality control.

Currently there is no resolution and I find there lack of support dreadful.

Be aware of this.

Very pleasant customer service

Very pleasant customer service, approached immediately and offered a hot drink whilst I was browsing round the show room, Connor was brilliant with explaining the cars to me and making me feel as comfortable as possible.

Great experience

Great experience, helped my mother upgrade her car with seat in Blackpool 2 weeks ago. Connor (I believe) was the gentleman helping us with this. Was made easy and he was really helpful and tried his best to get us a good deal.

I do wish we had of had a bit of a better deal however, Connor did his best for us and we really appreciate all his hard work in getting my mother a newer car for as cheap as he could.

AVOID! Shocking attitude of all staff

Shocking attitude of all staff.

No one seemed to want to sell me a brand new bike when I went into the showroom, little knowledge of bikes from the guy in the service department, staff seem to walk around looking fed up miserable. Also, their website is a load of rubbish as you can't sell a bike to them, despite it stating they will buy any bike!?

What's worse is, I bought the bike from them, it's still in perfect condition and only done 1000 miles since!

After care is non-existent, just a bunch of cash grabbing goblins!

Great service from start to finish

Great service from start to finish with Daniel, all through the process from ordering to collecting having Dan a phone call away to help with any questions really helped us, then came to collection and managed to lock ourselves out of the car not to worry Dan right there with help and a plan! Thank you very much

Got a brand new seat arona experience…

Got a brand new seat arona experience lux 7 speed dsg, 3 weeks later gear box broke and now they said the parts on bk order and we have no time frame for repair..I said 6 months ? A year ? They replied no time frame sorry..stuck in a hire car that I had to organise myself as they had none, 100 seat Aronas in the parking lot for sale , why not take the part off a car that's not sold and put it on mine,, easy fix the part is small and easy to transfer..I will be cancelling my lease utterly non existent customer service after purchase.Cars been there 2 weeks and they have not rang once to update me..I decided to call the other day and same answer no time frame...garbage, if u sell a 29000 car then have the ability to repair it.
Also they replied saying that I have a courtesy car and it's mobility..yes I have a car which I had to call the aa out to first day, been trying to get a replacement for 2 weeks no reply.Also after 3 weeks of me not hearing anything I finally got in touch with mobility who had to ring you for an update..an apology was given and an admission that the lack of customer service was not acceptable. I was with vauxhall for 4 and half years before hand and everything I needed they did without questioning as it was there car..not once did I need to ring mobility to arrange a hire car or have to call for updates if my car was in service..every time they organised everything themselves.I loved the car the complaint is that seat should have spare parts for the cars they build..its not hard to take the part of one that's sat in the lot and let the people who have decided to use your company be first in line.

Finally got the lease cancelled, still not had one single phone call from Blackpool seat.. Utterly disgusted with the service.. I will never use seat again.
