Told several times to put the new boiler into a position in the kitchen.
I came home and the so called plumbers had put the boiler in the same place as the old boiler.
No floorboards taken up to connect water feeds.
Fitted water supply to redundant Loft Cistern, quick-fit connections used and laying over the insulation. (Freezing problem)

COWBOYS, I wouldn't let these people change a Tap Washer.
Now there is holes through the ceiling with pipes in the middle of cupboards which are to be removed.
What Tradesmen would do this work, NONE as I don't think they knew what they was doing.
The took no notice of instructions given by the householder, completely ignored being told many times that is the wrong place.
I have lots of pictures, a British Gas installer came looked and sad one of the worst plumbing jobs he'd seen.
PLEASE QUESTION THEIR QUALIFICATIONS FIRST.

These guys have been brilliant from start to finish, had my cavity walls done & the loft insulation, nothing was an issue at all, polite & respectful throughout the process, cleaned up after themselves & couldn’t do enough, a credit to themselves & to the company. Likewise 2 days later when i had my boiler replaced by the same company, Josh was the same as the other lads i’ve mentioned above, respectful & professional, superb job from all involved, so happy with the work i have had done by this company, thanks again.

Cant say what quality of workmanship is!! My Complaint Is they came unannounced to my Neighbours nxt door to do this Cavity wall insulation ,I was astounded i was not notified nor pre warned of the horrendous noise of constant drilling and muck flying , and starting bang on 8am I was rudely jolted out of bed enough to give an old age Pensioner like myself heart attack believe me this is not on , seems neither my Neighbour nor the 3 Workmen parked up a big vans on my front , if you have to carry this over noisy lengthy work out all morning nr enough and so damned early it would be polite to let the neighbouring occupants know beforehand as it was I was also very poorly with Covid seems ignorance is Bliss as long as the firm does business.

Just be aware, this company is very proactive in having poor reviews removed from Trustpilot, so the very high percentage of good reviews is deceptive.
They took a great deal of trouble to get Trustpilot to take my comprehensive account down.

Rubbish. The lads who did the cavity wall insulation and fitted ventilation were great; professional, quick and no bother.

However, I felt pressured into getting the work done and ultimately it was work that has made the interior of my house look worse for little benefit.

I have had no confirmation from the office of what has actually been done to my home. There’s nothing in writing to say what has been injected into the cavity or what extractor fans have been installed. Poor.

They will reply to this review with a standard response of sorry but email the complaints department. They don’t care. Grifters.

If they knock on your door I would recommend to turn them away.

As a pensioner, their ‘whole home’ approach was a game-changer. No pushy sales, just honest solutions. Our new boiler and solar PV now generate more than we use—thank you!

Was just wondering why this company only replies to reviews that have given them a good review I wrote a bad review honest review about this company 4 days I have had no reply from them I see people have left good reviews 3 days and the company have replied to them and after scrolling down to see more reviews if looks like this company only reply’s to people leaving good reviews about them they need to also reply to people that have had bad experiences with them and left their homes in a mess we all should be treated the same I have also complained to this company and still am awaiting a reply and there after sales is a joke

Filled in a form and then told them I was no longer interested. I have since been called about 6 times every single day for the past three months. I've complained to them, to the IOC and still no stopping. They ring from a different 07451 number every time so you can't block them. I have already complained to them with no response.

Excellence service from start to finish. Great bunch of lads Ben, Ryan, Luke, Team 2. Loft insulation and cavity walls. No mess left to clean up. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Another WOW day thanks to Borthwick. Still getting over the shock of the cavity wall and loft insulation done for free and the very next day I have another visit. Joe and Sam came to install a brand new boiler again with no charge! Again first class standard of work and although there was a few problems with my ancient pipe work they didn’t leave until everything was finished and working better than ever before. I cannot fault the company or the workforce. Thank you

Please please please don't use this company!! Had my loft insulated yesterday and they have ruined my house. Soot everywhere!!! Raised a complaint immediately, seemed to be extremely helpful at the time and the workmen were very apologetic. Then today they have came with a member of staff (heating engineer) who has hired a carpet cleaner that you get from asda for £20 a day and wanted to clean my carpets. I declined their offer as would rather use a professional. My walls are damaged, they've chipped my bath and to top it all off they opened all the doors to the bedrooms of my property to get rid of the dust off the soot which has resulted to it spreading everywhere. My asthmatic son has been unwell since and can not cone home at present as I can not get rid of the soot. I was told they would pay for cleaning company which they have now went back on and responded by telling me to take them to court (which I will if necessary). Raised an official complaint according to their complaints policy and I was rang half an hour later from a mobile number telling me my complaint had been closed, no reason as to why. The senior member of staff was rude, obnoxious and mocked me stating 'you don't have the money to take me to court'. When I asked him to come assess the damage and talk to me face to face he threatened me with the police. 17 years I have worked in customer service and I have never ever experienced anything like this. Not sure who is leaving good reviews, but please please avoid. My house is a living nightmare!

Terrible after sales,can't register my solar panels as I'm not an electrician, Borthwick say I have to do it Northern Powergrid say Borthwick or the electrical contractor they used have to register it try explain this, the phone gets put down, disgusting to try deal with.

The whole process of assessment, scheduling and then carrying out the work was handled quickly, efficiently and with excellent attention to detail and sensitivity as to the inevitable turmoil that comes with major house improvements. In particular, Dave and Callum, who were at the house all week and had to work around the other teams who came in on odd days, were very hard working (no breaks at all that I saw!) as well as very skilled professionals (plastering and woodwork finishing to a very high standard, Dave going out his way to match the of skirting boards for instance), and above all were cheerful and good company through the week.
The loft and hollow wall insulation team were very efficient as well, explaining everything and they fitted a boarded area in the loft for storage without being asked. Finally, the boiler installers also did a very efficient and neat job, again in a friendly manner with good communication and sensitivity. Overall, an excellent company to have dealt with - many thanks!
