BRM Legal were amazing from start to finish with our property purchase. They answered every question we had and supported us right through to the very end. As first time buyers the whole process has been quite scary and overwhelming but BRMLegal have made it smooth and comfortable for us.

I'm very pleased with the service I received from BRM Legal in relation to my residential property sale, especially for such an incredibly low fee. BRM - firstly through Musa Khan and then following a seamless handover to Tabassam Amin - kept the matter ticking over nicely and were very efficient and communicative throughout the process. Their online portal was comprehensive and easy to use, and I much appreciated the ability to do absolutely everything online, including ID checks and the signing and witnessing of all documentation. My wife used BRM Legal previously and was very pleased with them, and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Sanna Tunio dealt with both our house sale and onward purchase in a professional and courteous manner.
She responded to all of my many questions in good time, either by phone or email, and explained the steps along the way.

We used BRM to sell our mother's bungalow following her death.
We were kept informed of progress throughout. They were easy to contact by phone & quick to respond.Tabassam was especially patient with our lack of tech ability & got us through one way or another.
Everything was clear & we were confident that despite hitches that all properly sale/purchases seem to encounter all would go well.

At the beginning they seemed very quick and efficient and despite having a POA when my father had a stroke the selling of the house was put on hold without me being notified, when I did realise they told me in an email that POA number I had sent them 8 weeks previous wasn’t sufficient but never told me what they did require this was 3 days before I was due to go abroad on holiday. I replied to said email within 20 minutes asking what was required and informed them of my holiday plans but they then phoned me on my holiday a week later saying what they needed when questioned as to why they didn’t reply sooner they couldn’t or wouldn’t give me an answer and the fact that I then had to wait another 4 days before I could deal with the request again delayed everything.
My father then died so a grant of probate was raised quickly and efficiently by Brethertons and sent but had BRM been efficient the sale should have been completed on the POA as it had already been 4 months since an offer on the house had been accepted.
Things started to move again but Muhammed was about as much use as a chocolate teapot always sending emails at around 5.30pm as they are about to close said emails rarely had the info required to solve the issue and meant I had to wait till the next working day to deal with it.
He also waisted an awful lot of my time trying to find a mortgage number for a mortgage that was paid off 26 years ago again this meant a 40 mile round trip to a bank 2 hours on the phone when the DS1 form was all that was needed, he also failed to tell me the land registry form which needed to be signed by a present witness firstly only had to be filled in by said witness name address etc which again could have saved me 2 hours travelling as the registry form had to be signed by 2 representatives in a certain order and this was despite me talking to him whilst travelling to my witness (I honestly think he was just a solicitors secretary with not much experience)
In my honest opinion it was an absolutely awful experience and would advice you to stay well clear of this company the estate agents who I used have removed them from the recommended list of solicitors so that is how bad they were.

Sold my nans house and used this business . They kept me updated on everything. The sale of the house went through quite quickly and the price was a lot cheaper then the rest of the company's i was looking at. I was dealing with Tabassam Amin. I could get hold of him when i needed him not chancing him. Very professional and very understanding when i had a death in the family. I would use this company again.
House sale started in February and was completed end of july but would have been june.

Fatima was great, buying a home is supposed to be one of the most stressful things a human can do, but thanks to Fatima it did not feel remotely like that. Can't recommend her enough!

Our experience with this law firm was one of the most unnecessarily frustrating and obstructive experiences we have ever encountered during a property transaction.

We were selling a house that had been built 11 years ago. This solicitor raised a succession of queries around historic planning documentation from before the development was completed. We were willing to engage, provide information (which we paid for) and do whatever was reasonably necessary to satisfy legitimate enquiries.

Instead, what should have been a straightforward conveyancing process became an obstruction which ultimately caused our buyers to withdraw.

The most infuriating part is that there was no fundamental issue with the property. The concerns related to historic planning conditions and documentation on a house that had already been built and occupied for years. Essentially, potential issues raised would mean no one on our development would ever be able to move.Ultimately, the sale fell through.

After investing significant time, money and emotional energy into buying and selling, we were left without a buyer because the process had been allowed to become so unnecessarily difficult.

Obviously, solicitors have a duty to protect their clients. Nobody expects them to ignore genuine legal risks. But there is a fundamental difference between thorough conveyancing and obstructive conveyancing. In our experience, this crossed that line. Sanaa was unwilling to seek out an appropriate solution.

A good conveyancer should identify genuine problems, explain them clearly and work with the other side to find proportionate solutions. Our experience was the complete opposite: delays and causing both client and seller unwarranted costs resulting in no sale.

I would never use this law firm myself, and I would certainly not recommend them. I would actively discourage this. This was also highlighted by our solicitors. We even consulted with the solicitors who handled our original sale who were quick to highlight the incompetencies that were raised during this process. We can understand a genuine query that implicates a client but this was out of time scale grossly
disproportionate. DO NOT deal with them.

Tayyub Amin, the Solicitor assigned to my case, contacted me straight away after I signed up to the company for the conveyancing of my property in Essex. Despite being in offices in Birmingham, Tayyub answered a few queries which I raised with him as the transaction progressed, by phone. As I made a few personal calls to him, he dealt with each one in a very caring manner, assuring me to contact them again if I felt it was necessary.
The company emailed me initially every few days until certain forms were completed by myself online. This was all very straight forward.
Although I have little experience of dealing with Solicitors previously, I have no hesitation in recommending this company to both friends and family.

My personal experience using BRM legal was very positive. It was a simple transaction (no chains etc) but Sana Noor handled it all with efficiency and no fuss.
