We had a level 3 survey undertaken for a 200 year old semi detached property in Kirk Ireton, which was worth its weight in gold, as it identified over £40k of work that needed urgent attention.
The report was delivered with photos, written in plain English, RAG rating by each area and as it was a Level 3 provided estimated costing where required.
Marisa was very helpful on the phone and answered quickly and efficiently.
The portal was easy to use and the report arrived when stated.

When I started searching the surveyors, BTB was not the cheapest but I went with average reviews. And I am happy to select them for property survey.

Easy to book. Comprehensive report. Excellent follow up. Reasonable cost.

The transaction was not easy as they could not allow me to pay, so had to do it through the bank, they turned up when they said, but after they had done half a survey they dropped the keys off to the agents and said it was full of damp, they never checked the drains and when asked to check the wall that was leaning they said it was not dangerous, I checked for damp myself and could not find anywhere near the levels they supposed to have found so had a damp survey done at there advice and no damp was found.
I did not have a good experience with this company and would not recommend or use them again, when I told them my thoughts they basically said I was wrong, very poor customer service and not very helpful, they make sure you pay them first.

Used BTB twice in a short time to survey 2 houses. The first - a Level 3 survey at 77 pages long and thoroughly detailed - saved me from making a potentially disastrous purchase. The second, a level 2 survey but still at 69 pages - was also very thorough.
Marisa, the office manager was fabulous. Friendly, efficient and online to deal with queries at all times of the day and night, including weekends, although I did not expect any response out of office hours!
Not cheap but worth the money!

I am so impressed with the service I received. The surveyor's report was very detailed and informative. The service both before and after the report was exceptional - I had lots of follow-up questions that typically would be outside the remit of a survey. However, in all these cases, Marisa was super accomodating and responsive.
