Bought a vector for conversion for£1. Now being billed £29.99 a month. They have stolen my debit card details and are now stealing money from me.

My bank agree and are blocking payments for me, but Bubbi won't let me cancel or delete on their website until I settle a massive unpaid bill.

I signed up believing I was making a one-off purchase, only to later discover I had been enrolled into a subscription without clear or transparent consent. The way this was presented was, in my opinion, misleading.

When I noticed the payment had been taken, I contacted the company immediately requesting a refund. My message was ignored, and a further payment was then taken. Despite raising this promptly and providing evidence that I attempted to cancel, they have refused to refund me.

I have now reported the matter to Trading Standards and am having to pursue a refund through my bank because the company will not resolve it directly.

Very disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to check the small print carefully before entering any payment details.

Removed background from and image. To download and use I paid the $1. MISTAKE--- used a credit card and 5 days later was charged an additional $35....... Luckily my credit card company declined the $35 charge. I read their BS replies to other people that this has happened to. I would like give this review a 0

Pretty much like everybody else here I purchased what I thought was a one off purchase for €1.
At the time of purchase there was an option to subscribe, but I only wanted one single file to be edited. So paid the €1 and then a couple of weeks later been charged €35 there was no email to suggest that I have been enrolled in a subscription. This company should be avoided or they should be far more from with their pricing structure and notify people that they have been subscribed and it’s not a one off purchase giving them the option to cancel within the agreed period. Based on my experience I recommend just avoiding this company altogether. There are better options out there that aren’t Crooks.

Paid twice for a tool to vectorise an image, and both times I got NOTHING, I complained to my bank and to their customer services and got ignored and to add insult to injury they tried to come back a week later and charge me another £29 for a subscription.

Super shady, avoid at all costs.

Edit after their response: I literally paid you twice for something I didn’t get and was ignored by your customer service when I complained. A company with reviews like these knows what they are doing, you know good and well people at the point of trying to quickly turn a PNG into a vector in that moment met with a paywall is not reading through sneaky T’s and C’s, it’s likely in your business model the fact you know people will not read into it. Shame on you scumbags.

Il lavoro sulle fotografie mi ha dato molta soddisfazione e il risultato è ottimo, il servizio clienti è gentile e premuroso, consiglio l'utilizzo di questo sito, consiglio anche di leggere le informazioni di contratto sulle modalità di abbonamento e scadenza cosi da essere aggiornati sui costi del servizio, per poterlo utilizzare al meglio.

I was scammed by this company’s deceptive "dark pattern" billing. I agreed to a one-time $1 charge to process a single photo. Nowhere was it clearly disclosed that I was being enrolled in a $35/month subscription. (FYI They use a "negative option" scam—taking a $1 payment for a single service and using it as 'consent' to charge a hidden $35/month subscription without any clear disclosure or confirmation. SHADY!)

I received zero confirmation emails, no receipt for the $35, and no notification that a recurring payment was being taken. They simply stored my card without permission and charged it. This is a predatory subscription trap. I have disputed the charges with my bank and reported them to the FTC. Avoid this site at all costs.

Avoid at all costs - a £1 trial of AI driven image upscaling resulted in a £29 charge to my Credit card a couple of months later. Seems when you go for the £1 test you sign up for a service and all is hidden in the very small print. Maybe it is legal but it is a highly dubious way of doing business. I received no emails, no warning of payment to be taken etc. Very poor experience

UPDATE * I have been in contact with Bubbi.app customer support and I have been informed that all services are cancelled and closed and refund is currently being processed, I will update again to confirm once received.

As with everyone else who has left a 1 star review, I have been bitten also unbeknownst to me.
Bubbi.app customer service, I have reached out to you and have sent you a email from my two separate accounts and have also logged a ticket with you through your contact page. I kindly ask you to please respond to my email and refund the charge taken from my account. My bank is currently investigating the issue with their fraud department and surprisingly to me, they knew what the issue was before I even started to explain to them.
I give you this opportunity and ask you politely to respond to my email, reverse and refund the charge so no further action will be taken and will amend my review and rating reflecting the outcome. Let’s do this civilly before it gets messy and inconvenient for all parties involved as I’m prepared to go the full 9 yards and back if I have to. Many thanks,

Me ha ocurrido lo mismo que al resto, te ofrecen el servicio de vectorizar una imagen por 1€, y a la semana te llega un cargo de 35€ sin haberte suscrito a nada, ni haber dado ningún tipo de autorización. Tiene toda la pinta de ser una maniobra de estafa.

This site is a scam. They charge you $1 to convert a simple file, and then a week later, you randomly get a charge for a recurring, monthly $35 subscription that you didn’t sign up for. I have never seen any site operate so underhandedly on purpose. They blatantly go out of their way to hide the subscription and make it look like just a simple transaction, and then a week later, they drop the scam on you. They claim they showed you the subscription language in checkout, but why is every other review here complaining about the same thing? I never saw it, and looks like nobody else did either. This is a company getting rich off of fraudulent subscriptions. They bury the subscription information where nobody can CLEARLY see it and understand what they’re agreeing to. This is done by design. They purposely make the subscription information impossible to see, and once they have your money, they’re like “We told you this was a subscription, don’t blame us.” No, you didn’t. You deliberately hid it in very fine, greyed-out print that was impossible to see. This is your scam and I can’t believe you haven’t been prosecuted yet.

Yo no he contratado este servicio en ningun momento. Solo pagué un euro para saber quien me llamaba, y lo di de baja inmediatamente. Ahora me han cobrado 35 euros, repito que por un servicio q no he contratado. Esto es una estafa. Se estan llenando los bolsillos de manera fraudulenta.

Oggi sono incappato anche io nell'equivoco. Me ne sono accorto subito e dopo varie ricerche sono riuscito ad inviare una mail con la quale mi è stato annullato il contratto. Il problema è che se passano i 7 giorni compresi pagati 1 euro dopo arrivano gli addebiti mensili Ben più alti. Con me sono stati molto corretti. Bisogna che prestiamo più attenzione quando navighiamo su internet.

Solo quería pagar por una foto, pague 1€ y me ha llegado ahora 3 cargos de 35€ uno por mes, q nos acabamos de dar cuenta ya q es una tarjeta solo para compras puntuales en webs q no son mis habituales de confianza, q no resigo mensualmente. Relleno con poco importe ,pero han tenido suficiente para tres meses está gente , evidentemente, estoy intentando devolver.
Suelo leer aquí antes las opiniones de webs o servicios q uso por primera vez. Pero está vez no lo hice porque claramente tú pagabas por un único servicio. Y ahora como tienen tú cuenta te cargan 35€ SIN ningún tipo de autorización cada MES. Debí leer como siempre antes las opiniones y hubiera leído todos los comentarios de esta estafa. Por supuesto voy a usar todos los métodos legales para q me devuelvan el dinero.
Y de claro nada ! a la hora de pagar una foto 1 euro de una prueba.De hecho es la primera vez q me pasa con una app q me cobre una prueba o un servicio puntual y q luego use tu tarjeta para cargarte mensualidades y menos q no recibas el aviso de cargo ni factura de estas mensualidades como hacen las web serías y q no van a estafarte.

Same as everyone else, I fell for the fake $1 image generation that came with a hidden unrefundable $35 subscription. Sent them several emails and they refused to refund. Threatened to go report them to BBB and FTC, didn't work. Then sent a screenshot of my reports @ BBB and FTC, told them I opened a dispute with my credit card and that KARMA would get back at them. They replied with an email saying they're not wrong, but they will issue a refund from the goodness of their heart.

As with so many others, I paid their $1 and then after 2-3 months checked my account and saw they had been deducting cash from my bank account. $67 NZD per month. After several emails back and forth they refuse to send me a refund. They do not send emails showing you have been charged and claimed to have texted me about charges. That is bogus. No one texts about charges. Emails are how proper businesses do business. I am glad I am not the only one who did not realize they would be charging me a ton of money and refuse to return it when it became clear I have not used their service at all. DO NOT work with these crooks.

It's a scam. They present a one-off £1 image upscaling service then a week later you're charged £29 and you're subscribed. At no point is this communicated to you during the notices, not even an email. I've raised a chargeback and hopefully Revolut check trust pilot. Their acquirer needs to turn them off

Complete scam. Product doesn’t deliver what you need, I looked to trial, tool is awful to use. Now they’re charging me for something they can’t deliver. Stay away. They also replied in their first response for this saying they acknowledge that their process is not transparent and that they need to review it as the subscription is not clear and then they edited their response; I have a copy of the original screenshot. Such a dodgy illegitimate company, unable to act with any integrity.
