This particular review is mostly for the AMAZING customer service I received on my most recent order. Jon Baker truly went above and beyond to make my order happen. Shining star and so kind! Some unavoidable mishaps occurred and he was so quick on the draw to make it right. Jon deserves 10 stars!! The product truly is beautiful as well! I will absolutely continue to purchase flooring from here for all my flips :)

This is my second purchase of flooring. I appreciate the ease of ordering and the quick correspondence from build direct when delivery is expected. Good pricing and selection of flooring.

We ordered 26 boxes of vinyl flooring for our basement from builder direct last year. We didn’t start flooring until this year because of delays. Unfortunately, we had a small error in our shipment that we did not notice until recently. One box was the wrong style. Builder direct was gracious enough to resolve the issue for us in spite of their 30 day notice of issue resolution policy. We’ve are very happy with our flooring and will definitely buy from them in the future when we finish the rest of our basement. And we’ll check every box of the order when it arrives to make sure that we have the correct item.

BuildDirect has been my go-to engineered wood floor supplier for 9 years on several projects. The 1st time I tried their products, my GC said there was “no way” an internet company would beat his supplier. Not only was BuildDirect’s quality better, his installer said he couldn’t touch the prices either. Fast forward, I still use the same installer, but now I’m the GC. They aren’t perfect, but overachieve in service if they fall short. In the world of construction, that goes a long way. Highly recommend!

We were looking for LVP for a long time. No place we went was exactly what we wanted either priced too high, not the right color, or size was off. We came across build direct and finally all the boxes were checked. Price was good, quality great, size perfect and color was spot on with what we were looking for. Highly recommend! This is the 2nd time we have bought floors from Build Direct and we have loved both experiences. For the floors at our new home, the stair nosing pieces we received were unfortunately not the same size. Build Direct has been super responsive and has resolved the issue to our satisfaction. This is my second time to order laminated flooring from BD. The first time was 8 years ago. The floor was still in nearly perfect condition when I sold the house. I also bought a new home in 2021. The house completed in late Jan 2022. Mila Quinn from BD was there to help me out every step of the way. A big shout out to her. I received the planks on the day after I moved in. My contractor was able to put in the new floors in one day. The house is one story without stairs.

Now why 4 stars, not 5 stars? Well, the story didn't begin very well. Let me explain.

By the Thanksgiving 2021, I started to plan for a flooring upgrade with BD. I knew BD usually have Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. Yep, the flooring I was interested in was on sale for that weekend for 30% off. Now my problem was that I need BD to hold off shipping until late Jan when my house finishes. I wanted the Black Friday discount, but BD has to delay the shipping. The first sales person I contacted didn't have any idea on how to do that. She basically told me that she couldn't hold my shipping. So I let that deal slip away. After the new year when I contacted Mila to order(no more discount). She told me that all I had to do is to pay $500 deposit to hold the flooring, then BD can ship at a later day. Unfortunately, she couldn't give me any discount.

Now this deposit to hold idea was not communicated with me when I was talking to the first BD sales person during the Thanksgiving. Had I paid deposit to hold my floors, I could've saved about $500+ on all the floors I ordered. So this is a miss from BD's customer service. Hence, 1 star deduction.

Overall, the experience with BD was pretty good. Very fast communications with Mila. She did everything she could to help me. Only wish every other BD sales person is as knowledgeable and experienced as she is.

I had a wonderful experience with Anastasia. I didn’t have enough hardwood to finish my project, and they were out of stock, she was able to locate a few boxes for me, price matched for me and shipped it quickly! She is the best!

I was looking for quality flooring at an affordable price. Shopped just about everywhere online comparing vinyl flooring and prices. None beat out BuildDirect! The process of buying online was simple, the shipping was flawless and my floors were easy to install. I received many compliments on the look and quality of the floors. I placed an order of LVP flooring one month before receiving it. There was a short supply and a couple of significant holidays between ordering and receiving the flooring. No complaints there. Upon receiving the flooring, two boxes and pieces throughout the other boxes were damaged, but BuildDirect started a claim within 2 hours of me declining the boxes from FEDEX. Within 12 hours of the initiation, they are sending me two boxes plus two additional boxes for the other damaged products. I ordered a sample online and was sceptical about the company since they dont have a store and i never heard about them,
I loved the sample quality, color and price so I decided to cancel my previous order with Lumber Liqudator and decided to purchase through Build Direct
Customer service was very proffesional and friendly very responsive and accurate,
I laid my laminate 6 months later and found out that the underlayment I recived was not the right one so I contacted the company they happily refunded the order and gave me all refund options with no additional fee.
Now after I finished my project, I had people coming to check on my floor because it took a lot attraction.
Also very easy installation, I put it my self and my husband.

The quality of our floors was fantastic, and the manager Ben Woodward was understanding and extremely helpful.

Build Direct had the perfect engineered wood floors for the project. The 3/4 - 4 mm Oak floors are exactly what was needed to complete the beach look.
Although there was a hiccup with the shipper, Build Direct handled it immediately which kept the project on time.

Terrible experience and even worse product.

I purchased vinyl flooring through this company and I do not recommend anyone do the same. Upon delivery of product everything looked good, no damage to boxes etc. Upon installation, quite the latter.

The male end of the seams were not sturdy at all, making installation difficult if not impossible without the locking strip breaking. Almost as if the product had sat for an extended period of time in unsatisfactory conditions. The mentioned male end of locking strip, was so brittle it was breaking upon touching to take out of the box. Product was being installed correctly (it’s not rocket science) and continued to have breakage box after box.

After a long multi day, 8 to be exact, discussion with “customer service” I was informed that they would only refund my order for the boxes that are unopened, less shipping costs. Unfortunately this company does not stand behind the products they sell. I will never give them my business again.

I purchased flooring back in 2020, approximately 1,400 square feet and just recently needed more flooring. The flooring I purchased is now discontinued but Customer Service Representative Justine reached out to the vendor and was able to secure additional boxes for me at the same price as previously purchased. Justine went above and beyond. Thank you so much!
