A magical and unforgettable day. The girls are super professional. The moments spent in this studio are unforgettable and the memories are wonderful.

I first stepped through the BYB Photography doors back in 2020 and I have just been on my third visit back to their studio. I’ve gone from being a nervous wreck with low confidence and low self esteem, to an empowered woman, with a new found love and self confidence for the body I now have after having my Daughter, and I’ve gained a love for boudoir photography. I’ve been to both the Ilkeston and Sheffield studios and my third visit was back to Ilkeston to have a shoot done with their beautiful wings.

From the moment you walk in at both studios you feel so welcomed. There is an offering of drinks, upbeat-feel good music is playing and the ladies that work there are all so friendly, bubbly and create a relaxed atmosphere all the way through from make up to viewing your fabulous photos at the end. There is an affordable, pay monthly option to purchase your photos afterwards and you get a package tailored to suit your budget.

I’ve been to other photography studios for boudoir shoots and the only studio I have returned to is BYB Photography. The make up artists, photographers and everyone else involved guide you through all poses without making you feel bad about your body. I’ve been told to “suck that tummy in, keep going! More!” by photographers at other companies, and hearing that when I have a mummy tummy that I can’t hold in much was so disheartening. I’ve never had such treatment at BYB, the photographers make you feel so good about yourself after taking every shot.

If you're thinking of doing a boudoir photoshoot then my advice is to go for it! Make time for yourself to be pampered, have a confidence boosting photoshoot with the added bonus of a yummy afternoon tea afterwards. You will not regret it. I already can’t wait to go back for my fourth time.

I never ever thought I would enjoy being in front of the camera (it is something I have hated and tried to avoid for years) but the whole shoot with Paulina was amazing. Talk about making someone feel relaxed and confident and all this while wearing only lingerie....
"It is not the model but the photographer's fault when a picture does not turn out great". Words I will remember forever if I ever feel insecure about some of my pictures again. Turns out Paulina is a great photographer as I walked in expecting/hoping to like one or two pictures of myself but actually liked all 96(?!) pictures taken. I have never felt so beautiful, confident, sexy and worth it.
Thanks to the whole team at BYB Ilkeston (from Louise the make-up artist to Mel who went through the final images with me).
I wish I could do it all over again! It is not a cheap experience (especially if you cannot choose what pictures to purchase like me) but so, so worth it! Just looking for a reason to go again now!

What can I say?! Literally!
I woke up on the morning having no intentions to go due to feeling so anxious & nervous about the whole experience in underwear BUUUT I did it! I went & my god did I enjoy it!
The team was so helpful & friendly & all in all so amazing!
After the first outfit I felt amazing & id only been there just over an hour! By the end of it I did the money shot! I was asked to strip nude & was lay there covered in petals it was magical! I finally left absolutely loving my pictures! Definitely definitely recommend these ladies! You will never ever regret it!

Honestly the BEST experience I ever had. I had never had a photoshoot before let alone in lingerie and I was freaking out...I struggle with body confidence the most and I wad just laughing when I was told this would boost my confidence...these ladies are magical...so so kind from the time they confirm your booking its crazy...I love my shoot they were so friendly always!!! My pictures came out AMAZING i looked like a natural...like a model...i looked HOT...i couldnt even decide which to pick...If you suffer from hating your body PLEASE do this shoot...it will be the best decision you make i promise you...thank you to the whole team at BYB you are all amazing❤️

I walked in unsure, uncertain and very apprehensive, but after speaking to Nik and getting to know the team, I can honestly say the experience was life changing. That is a big claim, but one I stand by as it has changed my perception of myself and what sort of presence I have in the world. I loved the whole day, from the hair and make up studio with Lucy, to my wonderful photographer Megan, the editors/viewers - Praise and Mel, to Lia who made the afternoon tea (note - 2 cups of tea would have been a real bonus), it was all discreet, supportive and so very positive. It is not a cheap experience if you want to purchase multiple images, but well, well worth it in my opinion. I will be back..

This experience has boosted my confidence so much! I had not taken my top of in front of my partner for 5 years, I went in thinking I would just have a few photos in my underwear, they made me feel amazing so I even went nude! Could not believe it myself and when I come to look at the photos I was so nervous I would not like them! Well I cried I liked them so much! I’m so much more confident in myself now! Absolutely amazing!

Amazing experience. Was made to feel relaxed throughout. All the staff are friendly and approachable. I really enjoyed the experience and how brillaint the photos turned out is a testiment to the team.

I am a very unconfident person when it comes to my picture being taken. You could say picture phobic lol. I look awful in pictures. Well I did until I went to see these lovely ladies on Sunday. The whole experience made me feel good,sexy and confident about myself. I don't do sexy lingerie or boobs out until then. I looked bloody brilliant!! I have a flat bum, I am menopausal and hate the way I look. Not anymore. If you are feeling this way. Please please go and do this shoot. You will not regret it take my word. Absolutely amazing experience, I was put at ease from the start. My photographer Paulina helped pose me in a way that complimented my figure & the end results were phenomenal.

I was very nervous coming to do the shoot as iv never done anything like this before. But as I arrived I got welcomed my Paulina the photographer and she was so lovely and welcoming, she showed me around the studio and offered me a drink. I then sat down to wait to get my hair and makeup done by Louise who was really polite and friendly and made conversation which made me feel relaxed and I felt really pampered. My makeup was done to just how I wanted and my hair was gorgeous! Afterwards my nerves disappeared. I then got introduce to Joanna who was helping with the props and had ideas for different poses, which was great as I didn’t know what pose to do and they directed me for great shots!
I go changed into two outfits and had pictures done in all the different rooms which were all stunning. Each picture taken the photographer complimented me that I looked beautiful and it was really uplifting and I was so happy I went for it. After the shoot I had my afternoon tea which was lovely and I just felt good that I took time out for myself and to reflect how brave I was doing it but also how empowered I felt. I then saw Mel who showed me all the pictures and I loved every single one! I mentioned to her that I loved how private it was and that she said they only have two people in max to have the shoot done at different times so it doesn’t feel overwhelming which made me feel more relaxed. I was torn to choose which picture to purchase. I didn’t feel any pressure in buying any but I rang up the next day because I couldn’t get over the photos that I wanted to keep to remind myself how good I felt and looked. Thanks to the whole team! I would highly recommend having this experience!

So I won this experience and it was definitely something I never thought I’d be doing. I was very nervous going into it and the staff were all so lovely putting me at ease but being told how it’s not a scary experience isn’t always going to stop you feeling nervous. Holly was fantastic doing my makeup as I’m not usually one for any makeup she was very patient and helpful as she guided me to make choices about what I wanted. After hair and make up I was still a little unsure but 5 minutes after meeting Paulina the photographer my worries were completely eased. By the time we’d taken the first few pictures I was so relaxed and it no longer felt awkward to be stood in just my underwear and heels. From start to finish the ladies were exceptional and I can’t thank them enough for the wonderful work they do. I normally hate all pictures of myself but today changed that. The images were wonderful and Mel was very helpful as I dwindled down the image selection to decide which ones I wanted to get. This experience was fantastic and I would certainly recommend it to anyone. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and I am so grateful for that.

In the weeks leading up to the photoshoot, I was terrified. I dislike my body hugely, and the thought of walking around half naked was a horrible thought! I even had a panic attack the night before!
Walking in, I was made to feel super welcome and I was taken straight through to hair and make up, done by Holly. She made me feel really comfortable, knowing I knew nothing about make up! I gave her free reign and she did an amazing job. Paulina then met me, went through my outfits and chose the ones she thought looked best. You wear a gown to each shoot, and it's only the two of you in there. She made me feel so at ease and the poses were really well explained. She made me laugh a lot which made me feel very comfortable in the shoots! After tea, Mel went through my photos and honestly....I couldn't believe it was me. I had never felt so confident, sexy or beautiful in my own skin until today and it's all because of these guys. I'm already planning on saving for another! For anyone genuinely terrified to do this, it's a scary thought but I guarantee you will feel incredible afterwards. Thank you, all of you!

I was so nervous before I went today but was made to feel comfortable and confident in minutes of being there. Louise was incredible at understanding a great make up and hair look for me. My photographer Paulina made every pose easy to understand and was very patient when I was being a bit thick about it 😂 I feel overwhelmed by the experience but in a really good way. Thank you BYB

I had a photoshoot done with BYB. I was nervous as I didn't know what to expect but all the ladies there made me feel very comfortable and fabulous. The hair and makeup was lovely, the photographer Elise was fantastic and made me feel really at ease. They was all very lovely and afternoon tea was lovely too! Couldn't recommend enough x

Thank you for a wonderful experience last Saturday and choosing me as the competition winner - I would not have booked anything like this if I hadn’t have won the competition however, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and the kindness of all the staff involved who made me laugh - I was amazed that I liked 33 photos I really couldn’t believe this was me in the slide show - such an empowering experience- I would highly recommend anyone to book this - Thank you so much for the fabulous confidence boost - I’m still smiling- Merry Christmas to you all xx
