UPDATED: Outstanding Resolution by Founder After Initial Issue

Following my initial review regarding the pricing confusion, Nick (one of the founders at Cooee) personally reached out to apologize, clarify the situation, and take ownership. He extended the second line to my account at no extra charge and confirmed they are updating their website to make the plan pricing completely transparent moving forward.

Receiving this level of direct accountability and prompt support from management completely turned my experience around. The second line is now active and working smoothly. I deeply appreciate a company that listens to customer feedback and acts with integrity. Highly recommended for their customer recovery and leadership!

Do not fall for Cooee’s tier pricing—it is deceptive, mathematically predatory, and backed by complete refusal to offer basic support.

I upgraded to their Advance Plan ($105/year) under the clear impression that it included access to a second line. However, after taking my money, they informed me that the second line is not included—you are merely given the "option" to buy a second number at a "discounted" rate of $95.

The Math Proves the Deception:

1 Lite Plan: $75/year

2 Separate Lite Plans: $150/year total

Advance Plan ($105) + "Discounted" 2nd Number ($95): $200/year total

Under their "Advance Plan," you end up paying $200 for two lines—which is $50 more expensive than simply buying two standalone Lite plans! Calling $95 a "discount" after charging $105 upfront is absolute daylight robbery and false advertising.

To make matters worse, support has completely stonewalled and ignored my requests for either a part refund or proper line provisioning for days. I haven't even been able to use the service due to the frustration caused by their cheap deceit. A company that operates this way and stonewalls paying customers is completely untrustworthy. Save your money and take your business to a transparent provider instead.

Cooee was really helpful for me when I moved away from the UK to study. I eventually ported in my UK number which let me live my life like I was still in the UK without the roaming charges (calls and OTPs). I also found the call forwarding feature helpful so I didn't have to open the app. My only criticism would be that porting can take a bit of time if you don't share the correct information. So far so good.

Overseas and solves the problem of needing a uk number for tv and more importantly online banking and any sms verification! Great product and highly recommend

As an Aussie expat with investments and banking in Australia I needed an Aussie number. Cooee has provided that very smoothly and at a reasonable price. Now I have it I don’t know how I survived without it for so long! Great service and a great product

Callcooee was perfect for a second UK number option. We travel a lot and the fact that it works overseas for SMS and calling without extra charges! Brilliant service no issues and set up was easy

Cooee is a great travel sim option with a real uk number with SMS capability. I was able to sign up online and activate within 5 minutes. Very efficient and so far reliable. Would recommend this service to any Brit who wants to use their UK mobile number from overseas.

Good morning Dave, I am having real trouble here - the call from Australian numbers are not coming through to my NZ mobile - i.e. the call forwarding is not working. I had a test calls with a recruiter yesterday and it all calls failed - I need your help to resolve this - I have interviews lined all week next week.

Great coverage in Mainland China and easy switching to roaming services in other markets. Very seamless and great coverage!

Very easy to set up and get the number available on my phone. All OTPs and any other messages came through as needed when I was in Sydney.

Great UI and easy to navigate. Have recommended to a few friends moving to a couple of different countries.

I needed some details and when I messaged customer support in the chat bot they were very fast at replying and giving me the information I needed.

I have signed up for Coolee just under a month ago and have experienced few issues with getting my service going, mainly due to my inexperience with this type of service.
Cooler has, thus far, proven to be highly responsive and prompt in all their engagements. Their assistance is supportive and available till dull resolution.
Highly recommend their services.

At this stage l can't rate the service as l am in the process of signing up. I just want potential customers to know that despite the website offering monthly plans you can't get this rate unless you take the yearly option. If you want monthly the $10 lite plan (which is what l was after, just to keep my old number)the cost goes to $45 per month. A 350% increase which is a bit steep l feel. Obviously they want yearly paying customers. So far l can't fault the customer service feedback, its been excellent. I just think they should be more upfront regarding their pricing models. This is an edit to the above. whilst l still think the pricing on the monthly plans is not clear enough l have signed up for the anuual subscription, l can't fault the on boarding procedure and service so far. I have changed my rating from 2 stars (based purely on the pricing structure) to 5 stars now based on the over all experience.

The app does not tell you beforehand that, after you have paid, you need to validate your identity before the phone number can be activated. And when I tried to upload my passport, it brought me to a blank black screen with no options to interact with. I then contacted support, and basically got a reply that reads "all passports should work; I don't know why it's not working for you." Then started recommending basic yet pointless suggestions like uninstalling and reinstalling the app or waiting 24 hours. To date, I am unable to use the service that I have paid 120 AUD for.

RE: As mentioned by Cooee's reply, there was an issue with their 3rd party verification partner, which blocked Chinese passports. Cooee were able to manually approve my application, and the app works as intended now. So the initial experience was bad, but they were able to fix the issue for me within 2 days, so I am satisfied now.

Cooee has been a game changer for us. We live in Bali but also need to keep our Australian phone number for bank access.
Cooee is easy to set up, affordable and very convenient. Highly recommend.

I run a business in Australia and travel frequently between India and Dubai. Cooee lets me keep my Australian number and make international calls reliably, it’s easily the best Skype replacement I’ve used.

I'm over in France and was looking for a way to be able to make and recieve calls on my Aussie number and for a decent price. Cooee ticked all the boxes. The service is working perfectly and I got it at a great price. The team is very responsive with any questions you may have too. All in all, I'm stoked I found them!

The app does exactly what it says on the tin, which has been a life saver for accessing the banking system in Australia, with it's very limited options for 2FA.
The roadmap for development, and frequent updates give confidence in the long term future of the product, and customer support has been outstanding.

Neutral review as I haven’t managed to use it yet- I want to buy a number for Australia, but it says this is temporarily unavailable. Guidance is to create an account and contact support to ask for a number, but I did that and you can’t create a ticket for support unless you have a number.. seems an odd catch 22. Hoping an Australia number comes available again soon so I can actually use it

I'm an expat and only spend little time in Australia, but I still need an AU phone number. I've been with Cooee for more than a year now and it's not missed a beat. I receive the occasional call from old friends who don't know my new number and it helps me deal with my Australian admin.
