Love the product

I requested and received my device while in active treatment for combat related PTSD. I can already feel a more “calm” effect on my generalized anxiety and the feelings of being “On Alert” , that thought was something I would just have to live with throughout life post combat. Also friends have made comment to fact I seem more relaxed just in general. Love the product.

It's awefully hard to reach out to this…

It's awefully hard to reach out to this company, at their invitation to work out a problem, by contacting their customer support, because all I seem to get is "Crickets" on their end. Can't get through by phone, no call-backs, and no response by email. NOT THE WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS!!!

While I'd like to believe that, several days after I penned that, someone finally called back, as if the review actually spurred the call. The caller didn't review my previous query, and I had to re- explain my question. Calmigo needs to monitor their contacts and answer them daily, rather than rely on pop-ups from Trustpilot, to prompt customer followup. Either way, I've since gone with another company's product, in the time I waited for Calmigo's response.

This product has not helped me at all

This product has not helped me at all. It actually stresses me out because every breath is not recognized. The app is very unhelpful. I don’t recommend using the product.

Love mine

Love mine, it works great! My service dog actually helps remind me as it’s stored in a pouch on his service vest along with other emergency supplies. VA PCM was great in helping get it after providing the paperwork from the website and the medical staff took care of the rest. 2-3 weeks wait but worth it!!!

Have used CalmiGo to help me manage anxiety and PTSD spikes

I have used CalmiGo in two different ways: to start my day with a more calm state and I also have used it whenever I feel a PTSD episode starting or when I feel anxiety to help me keep control.

The timer in the device that lets me know how long to exhale and the mirroring time in inhaling helps me activate my parasympathetic system. This way the device helps me calm down and really helps.

I am still figuring out the gamification of the companion app but I am satisfied with the device itself.

Huge waste of money

Huge waste of money. Device did not reduce anxiety or help with PTSD. The app is absolutely the crappiest and least useful ever. And when they send you the reminder you’re going to be charged with a link to manage your subscription, be aware that the page it opens doesn’t actually let you manage your subscription. Nothing like paying for a useless device and “service”. Horrible customer service also. Look elsewhere for relief of these symptoms.

Not very helpful

So far

So far, I have had Calmigo for 2 days and used it three times for anxiety, mainly driving in traffic and once checking out at Walmart, the concentration on breathing has helped me tremendously! Thank you so much, the peppermint smell helps out. Very calming!

CalmiGo through the VA

I was able to get CalmiGo through the VA. The company ensured I knew how and who to ask for it. They also followed up to make sure I received it. They also followed up with handy emails explaining some tips on using it.

For me, having a non-medication option I can use anywhere for managing anxiety is a big win. Using it as work—it just looks like an inhaler. The combination of the scent, the visual 3 LEDs, and the app tracking usage all work together neatly. Scent is tied to memory, using it regularly “trains” the system to relax. So the user get constant reinforcement, via scent and visual cues, to breath deeply and sustain it.

Terrible

Terrible. Tricky tactics at checkout. Was signed up for auto delivery automatically. I did not realize until the shipments started arriving. Very difficult to cancel. It took me two tries. Poor customer service. They took a lot of money from me.

It does not accommodate customers'…

It does not accommodate customers' needs. It requires adding an app on a smartphone to set the settings.

Not only this, it's everywhere. It has to STOP!

Supplies and Parts Price Gouging

This is a message I am seeding this company. Please note the are NOT registered with the Better Business Bureau. While the product might help people, the company looks to do it's best to gouge people for supplies and replacement parts. Come on 22.00 for 1.00 screw driver and screw......

They look to be the sole source for all supplies or parts unless you go to EBAY or a site that has a huge mark ups.

I need a replacement silicone cover for the device I was sent by the VA. Charging people 29.00 and then 20.00 for shipping is ridiculous. Oh and the kicker is free shipping starts at 30.00 so your company knew exactly what it was doing when it set the price to 29.00. That is 50.00 for a piece of silicone. I will be putting it out to all the Vet groups I am with to avoid your products, I will also be letting the VA know about the price gouging on replacement parts and supplies.
