We thought this was a leading company for stem cell storage but expect a price hike after you’ve agreed your cost structure. Page 13 of your agreement says so!! My son is 9 months old, so they didn’t... Ver mais

My wife and I decided to preserve blood sample for our new born. During her pregnancy she has gone through a lot and adding on to it Cell4Life made it worse. They informed us that our sample has been contaminated and they sent us 2 letters to be signed by us. Both the letters was telling us about the sample has been contaminated and they want us to decide whether we can keep it or not.
I believe its Cell4Life responsibility to update us about the pros and cons of preserving contaminated sample which they did not. Despite asking them they did not help us out, we even tried asking our GP and they told us to get in contact with Cell4Life as they are providing the service so they should know better. I firmly believe, we should be properly advised whether it's safe to preserve the contaminated sample or not as we were paying £3000 for the service.
We believe that if we are paying for any service we should get benefit out of it not to just end up paying it and then wasting our time.
Only thing they were good at was to pressurise us to sign on either of the letter and pay them.
I never want to leave any negative comment as I know every company is working hard to succeed but I was hopeless this time.

I’m happy with everything so far by cells4life. However the phlebotomist could have been nicer. I have my bloods taken at least once a month by my Gp nurse and thinking she was a phlebotomist I thought she would be gentle but it HURT! My regular nurse is gentle so I know it can be less painful.

I’m a pharmacist and I insisted on storing my baby’s stem Cells. After a lot of research I chose Cells4life because they are accredited and equipped to chorionic Villi towards hereditary diseases. They are very professional and very explanatory. They were very fast and professional when taking the box of stems cells from The hospital directly to England. Definitely recommended.

We felt Cells4Life stem cells banking process was quite straight forward and seamless - Good experience overall. There are quite few private and public providers in this space with different price ranges and services. Cells4Life has good track record on HTA (regulatory body) compared to other providers we looked at. Customer service team, nurse who accompanied us in hospital, collection team and laboratory team were all great and in sync making the whole process effortless from our experience.

The most awful company to deal with ever, I truly regret choosing them. Everything was well until the day after the birth when they started to harass me with the calls claiming that the cord blood sample failed and I had to decide on the other package and it would be twice the price. The woman was so pushy and on purpose explained it in a very confusing way. Then, the same day I was harassed by multiple emails from that woman and other members of staff. Everything was explained so vaguely to confuse me even more so I sign up to their most expensive package. When the new package was finally agreed I’ve got to the bottom of those vaguely explained packages the payment instalments started to be taken on random dates in April & May. In June they have taken 2 payments not 1 which was not as per the agreed schedule of payments and was not authorised. So basically they stole the money from me! I’ve sent numerous emails but no one replies. The woman I dealt with who is supposed to be a senior member of staff and my main point of contact so far ignored all my emails regarding the unauthorised direct debit. I’ve copied other members of staff but no one replied either. I specifically requested a reply in writing not over the phone because I’m currently taking a legal advise with the intention of moving my cells & placenta from that awful company to a different bank. Don’t get fooled by them, everything is great until they have your cells/placenta and then they don’t care to even reply because they basically hold you ransom.
You won't realize you will get locked up for a 25-year contract with no way to get out. The price gets increased every year without informing you, and there is nothing you can do. Be very careful and understand before you get into this. I repeat, it is a 25 YEAR contract with no way out!

Very comprehensive on the phone answering all of our questions and following up with comms. Also on the birth day the service was really good from the phlebotomist and everything was delivered safe and sound.

Clear communication and guidance. All interactions with a real human with real compassion for the individual; at no stage did this feel mechanical or like a transaction.

Had a great experience from start to finish so far on this journey. The team are super helpful and always respond very quickly with any questions or queries. Literally can’t fault their service and knowledge. I will be recommending to all friends and family who want to take this route. Thank you!
