Compressor and Evaporator both went out on our $4000.00 Ge Profile that we bought the ex. svr paln for. Shitty service

Steer clear of Centricity for a warranty!!!
I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator. Approximately only 1 year after purchasing, the LED module(the only illuminating light in the refrigerator on the top) stopped working!! Five months later, after multiple phone calls to Centricity and my appliance store, I still have no resolution!!
Understand this: This warranty company now contracts out their appliance REPAIR. Since April 2025, you can no longer call your appliance store and get it fixed under the warranty. You have to call Centricity who then calls Whirlpool who then calls a third party company called “Diamond” too fix the repair. AND…isn’t it so convenient that Diamond only has the hours of 8am to 6 PM for the repair and doesn’t give you a small window(only until the DAY BEFORE)when you work a full-time job!!!!!!
So do I regret buying a 300+ dollar extended warranty for a job that will cost much less to repair and A HUGE HEADACHE TO BOOT!? You bet I do.
I have wasted, countless phone calls on the phone with Centricity with absolutely incorrect information about my warranty AND Incorrect information about a claim made. Honestly, the whole thing is an absolute disaster over a simple LED light NOT illuminating in my refrigerator after ONE SHORT YEAR.
And why did centricity decide to deal with a third-party to fix appliances? Geez one guess….MONEY. To save MONEY FOR THEMSELVES. They do not care about the customer.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY.

appears to be one of those companies that avoids paying at all costs. Delays and more delays. This is your typical awful insurance company. They will say the right things but do nothing.

Two year old washer broke for the second time. Started a claim by phone, at which time their rep made clear that he didn't want to take the info and I should file the claim online. Did just that. Received a call from a local repair company about three days later and set up an appointment for the service call. The following day, the appointment was canceled by Centricity without notifying me. (I have since gotten the info that if the appliance is below $800, they do not schedule service repairs.) Now I'm getting the run-around, with none of the service reps knowing what's going on or when things will be resolved. If the warranty I paid for doesn't cover service repairs, then what did I pay for? This situation is going on three weeks, and now the photos and comments made on the web site have "disappeared". Shady company -beware!!!

Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We have warranties for all our appliances and have never had to use them until four years in our dishwasher broke. They tried to repair it, but couldn’t. So they said they will no longer repair and then will “review” the situation. 2 MONTHS LATER.. after calling 2 to 3 times a week to get an update and each time being told they would “escalate” the matter to the claims department, I finally received an answer. This is after almost losing it on the phone. They are giving me a reimbursement check that is much lower than what I paid for the dishwasher. So now I have to go out and buy a new dishwasher at today’s price and pay for installation. If I’m being honest, the warranty just isn’t worth it. Since I paid $150 for this particular Appliance warranty, and now I am out of pocket even more to buy a new item, for all the hassle and headache I would have rather just bought a new dishwasher on my own. Yes, I’m getting money back but dealing with this company is mind numbing and not worth it.

My experience with Centricity’s extended warranty has been extremely frustrating.
I have been without a working fridge since January.
The initial repair (control board replacement) did not resolve the issue, and both the technician and GE indicated the appliance was not repairable.
Despite this, there were several weeks of delays before another repair was scheduled, only to revisit the same type of solution that had already failed.
Based on my experience, the process was slow, repetitive, and did not lead to a resolution. I would not rely on this type of coverage again.

DO NOT USE. There are no words for how terribly run this warranty company is. In short, it is an absolute waste of money. You’re likely better off with no warranty at all than to use this company.
I truly do not know how they are in business. There is zero communication not only within the organization itself, but with the actual repair companies they “work with” to come out and diagnosis and repair your appliances. We have had to stay up on them with weekly communication to only just now, after nearly 5 months, found a partial resolve to our refrigerator issue which was of the utmost importance we found a quick resolution as our child has severe food allergies and has only been able thrive off breast milk. Our refrigerator/freezer weren’t staying anywhere near temperature and we couldn’t receive a fix. They set up “diagnostic” visits that were an utter waste of time. The first one who came out had to ask who the manufacturer of the appliance was… only to later confirm it wasn’t staying at temperature…. then another visit to confirm we indeed were not getting ice… to another visit to tell us a pump was bad… on and on of waste of time. On top of this, there is no way for the repair men to communicate and save information from visits with Centricity nor for follow up visits even with the same exact repair man himself so there is no communication between what was found and what was verbally documented (another area they’ll just waste your time and money). Centricity will fight you on coverage, on cost to repair, on actually getting the new pieces ordered to repair your appliance etc etc. Save your money and your mental well being and stay far away.

Worst customer experience ever trying to get a warranty repair scheduled. Purchased a warranty when purchasing appliance. After an year the washer stopped working and called this company. They create a claim ticket then give another company to call for scheduling repair. They have appointment a week out. Called back centricity to see if they can find another appliance repair company and they're like no this is the only one in the entire SF Bay Area I have to work with.
These warranty companies scoop up customers money when they purchase appliance and have a pathetic customer service to deal with.

This is my second time dealing with an absolute nightmare trying to get an appliance fixed through my Centricity warranty. The first time took over two months to get a knob on my oven fixed. This time I'm currently at 45 days trying to get my refrigerator fixed.
Every time I call for an update, it's a different story... "the part is no longer made" "we are waiting for a replacement estimate" "we are still looking for the part" "your claim has been escalated" "there is no update"
And every time I call I'm told to wait 2-3 days for an update. Even after finally getting a supervisor on the line (which is nearly impossible), I cannot get back in touch with him or any updates from him.
I sincerely cannot comprehend how they are able to continue on as a business. At this point, I might as well go buy a new fridge - maybe that's their end-goal here.

My refrigerator developed a leak, and unfortunately this experience has turned into a two-month nightmare.
When I purchased the refrigerator from Curaçao, it was a door-buster deal for $999.99, and I also purchased the 5-year extended warranty through Centricity for peace of mind. When the refrigerator started leaking, I contacted Centricity to file a claim expecting the warranty I paid for to be honored.
Instead, I was told they could not find a technician to service the refrigerator in my area. Rather than resolving the issue properly, they began trying to force me to accept store credit. This directly contradicts the terms and conditions of the warranty, which state that the limit of liability is up to the purchase price of the product.
To make matters worse, the refrigerator is no longer sold on the Curaçao website, and comparable models sold by other retailers are around $3,000. Yet they are offering roughly $700 in store credit, which is completely unreasonable and far below the purchase price.
After weeks of back-and-forth, Centricity is now shifting blame to Curaçao, claiming the store is the one requiring the store credit. Meanwhile, Curaçao has not provided any meaningful resolution either. As the customer, I’m stuck in the middle while both companies point fingers at each other.
I simply requested a check for the amount I paid ($999.99), which aligns with the warranty’s stated liability limit, but that request has been denied.
At this point, I have been dealing with this issue for over two months, with no resolution. I have saved all emails documenting what the warranty company has stated and how this claim has been handled.
If Curaçao is involved, buyer beware. I strongly recommend not purchasing major appliances from this retailer and avoiding the extended warranty from Centricity.
Due to the lack of resolution, I have now contacted the appropriate state agency and am considering filing a small claims case against both companies.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
The response from Centricity does not explain why the “dealer” does not have any Samsung refrigerators for sale under 1,000. Per those terms and conditions the replacement must be from the same brand with like features. As others have pointed out on here this is a tactic used by Centricity to get you to take a very low settlement! Not what’s reasonable.

This company is a sham. My sister has been trying to get a claim settled since December. I am not sure why business still sell these policies. She has jumped through hoops to get this taken care of. Even the business she bought the item from has sent information.
