We recently booked two identical charter bus trips through CharterUp for a business event in Houston, Texas, on July 8th and July 9th, accommodating 50 attendees per day.
• Day 1: The trip proceeded smoothly as planned.
• Day 2: Unfortunately, the experience was highly unsatisfactory and raised significant safety concerns. The assigned driver began by calling to request a change in our confirmed pickup location to suit his own convenience—setting an unprofessional tone from the outset.

Throughout the day, additional issues included:
• The driver repeatedly getting lost and needing passengers to provide directions.
• An inability to follow the exact route successfully executed the previous day.
• Unsafe practices, such as dropping passengers off on busy main roads due to the driver’s inability to properly navigate turns.
• Patrons expressing genuine concern for their safety due to erratic and questionable driving.

Despite these significant issues, CharterUp’s proposed resolution was a mere $150 refund accompanied by a 10% discount on a future booking—an inadequate offer given the considerable disruption and safety risks incurred during our business trip.

Furthermore, CharterUp advised us to address our complaints directly with the third-party bus operator they selected, demonstrating an unwillingness to take responsibility.

Based on this experience, we cannot recommend CharterUp to anyone seeking reliable, safe, and professional transportation services.

The CharterUP team was fantastic! I was afraid I would not be able to speak to a Team Member in person if I had questions or needed to make changes, but their communication was wonderful & timely, and they bent over backwards to answer my questions and make sure my requests & needs were met. I would definitely feel confident about using them again!

Though he didn't speak english fluently, the driver was attentive, on time, patient with the children loading/unloading, personable and efficient. He displayed the highest level of professionalism and ensured that all of our needs were met.

Their customer service is terrible!!! They take forever to answer the phone and emails take forever to get a response and they dont even address the issues my group had. They also upsell a ton! i could've gone directly to a bus company and paid 70% of what i paid to CharterUP. NEVER work with them!

Excellent customer service from rep Chris from inception to-day of. Driver for both reservations were excellent as well and all our guests appreciated timeliness, cleanliness and safety. Would recommend bot Charter Up and bus company.

For one ,we had a great bus. Even before that you have great people working in the office that helped me when ever I called about something. We had a great driver. I have nothing bad to say. Keep up the good work, l will be using Charter Up again next year.
