Well located apartment
The apartment had all the necessary amenities for my visit. It had cookware, kitchen, coffee maker so on. The place was well located near some stores and monuments.

PESSIMA ESPERIENZA
A gennaio 2026 ho prenotato, tramite Airbnb, un appartamento a Parigi gestito da Checkmyguest, per un soggiorno a maggio 2026 per 4 adulti e una neonata. Dopo aver chiesto all'host alcuni chiarimenti sull'alloggio tramite la messaggistica Airbnb e aver ottenuto risposta da Checkmyguest, che poi mi ha anche sollecitato la prenotazione, ho effettuato la prenotazione e ricevuto conferma. Dopo aver effettuato la prenotazione e, quindi, con la "certezza" di avere un alloggio, ho effettuato la prenotazione del volo. Ad aprile 2026, quindi tre mesi dopo aver effettuato la prenotazione e a distanza di solo un mese dalla data del soggiorno, ho ricevuto da Airbnb la comunicazione che la mia prenotazione era stata cancellata (non da me, ovviamente), senza alcuna motivazione. Ho contattato l'assistenza Airbnb che, però, non ha saputo darmi alcuna motivazione e mi ha detto di non poter fare nulla. Ho contattato anche Checkmyguest chiedendo perché avessero cancellato la mia prenotazione senza motivo e senza neanche comunicarmelo personalmente, ma non si sono nemmeno degnati di rispondermi. Ovviamente, la cancellazione della prenotazione mi ha causato un danno perché ormai il volo è prenotato e pagato, non è rimborsabile, e quindi sono costretto ad adattarmi agli alloggi che è possibile trovare a così poca distanza dal soggiorno, con costi decisamente più alti (considerato anche che, con una neonata, non tutti gli alloggi sono adatti). Perfect location&house
Location is just great. House and furniture were good. Beds were comfy and the heating was really effective. It is definitely a recommended stay.

AVOID THIS COMPANY
We booked an AirBnB in Paris with Checkmyguest, and ended up not even staying one night.
To start, when we arrived, the reinforced glass front door to the apartment block was heavily smashed (a sign from a previous break-in?), and there was mould in two of the three bedrooms. We left our stuff, went out to dinner, and came back three hours later to find the apartment had been burgled, and our possessions stolen. We ended up having to spend the rest of the trip in a hotel and spent the first day in Paris filing a police report.
Despite reporting this to Checkmyguest, they were neither sympathetic or supportive in any way. I have attempted to follow up multiple times to get the booking fee refunded (AirBnB only initially covered half), but they have ignored all requests and have only given me vague responses or not replied at all. They haven’t even refunded a €69.85 “late checkout” fee we added on before arriving.
Furthermore, the week before the booking, I received a scam message on WhatsApp, containing my name and other booking details, insisting I click on a link and enter my card details or “the booking will be cancelled”. I reported this to both Checkmyguest and AirBnB at the time, as it points to a clear data breach (and was likely involved in the burglary), however no action was taken.
I would strongly recommend NOT booking any accommodation through this company. Your safety and data are not secure with them.
