The Air Fryer- CHEFMAN...NOOOO

The Air Fryer, RJ50-M, malfunctioned within a year of it's warranty expired (one year). I called Cutomer Support to get Technical Support, got a recording telling me I qualified for a $100 gift card (for Chefman products), and to press any key. There was no way to get to TS, so I pressed. I person I got began by saying a qualified the the gift, and started asking for my info. I responded by saying I was not interested, and asked to be connected to TS. He told me their line was down and started to ask for info. I said I was not interested, and he rudely hung up. So I went online, wrote my question seeking TS, pressed send which crashed. Tried again and successfully sent my question. I got a response that their q was loaded, and I could expect a response in 5-7 business days. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM CHEFMAN...and neither should you.

Outstanding product, matched by their customer service

We bought the Chefman 5-in-1 Air Fryer Oven after researching various models — and it’s turned out to be one of the best kitchen purchases we've ever made.

The product itself is incredibly versatile, with multiple trays that allow different foods to be cooked at the same time, a fantastic rotating chip basket, and a clear viewing window so you can easily keep an eye on your food without interrupting the cooking process. It also has easy-to-use presets for common meals, making the whole experience straightforward and reliable.

But what really stood out for us was the exceptional support from Chefman. Nearly a year after purchase, a small issue developed with our air fryer. I contacted Chefman’s customer support and was honestly blown away by how prompt, professional, and helpful they were.

A special shout-out to Carmen from Chefman Support, who handled everything quickly and made the whole process completely stress-free. The issue was resolved efficiently and left us feeling very confident in the brand.

In a world where good customer service seems increasingly rare, Chefman really impressed us. It’s reassuring to know that they stand behind their products and genuinely care about their customers.

Highly recommend Chefman both for the quality of their products and the integrity of their customer service.

Wish I can give zero star

Wish I can give zero star to this company. They sell cheap Chinese products at a ridiculously marked up rates. The interior to air fryer front plate (clear viewing window) area got dirty somehow and there is no way to remove it to clean it. Products are not worth the money.

Here is an example how they straight up GO AGAINST their own terms and conditions: Chefman puts 'Environmentally friendy' in their Amazon description on e.g. minifridge, which has the lowest energy efficiency star rating.

Their company should feel ashamed to straight-up harmful lying, in order to gain a profit.

I bought a Chefman air fryer oven

I bought a Chefman air fryer oven. Not long after I bought it it didn't match the temperature that I set it to. I had it at the highest temp just to get 300 degrees. Then yesterday it didn't stop cooking after the timer went off. Luckily I was nearby to catch it & shut it off. It kept ticking even after I unplugged it. I am totally disappointed in this cheap crappy product. I would never buy another product made by Chefman. It is a fire hazard.

Chefman is bullS**t
I purchased an ice maker and it work wonderfully for spprox 4 months then it began to squeak and make a loud whining sound. I reached out to chefman and I was instructed to send a video, serial number, receipt , a drop of blood my first born etc etc…..No response from them for 2 weeks until I reached out to them and was told the Ice Machine is out of stock!!!!! How is everything ALwAYS out of stick?!?!? I then requested a refund and they again gave me the run around. Now I am reporting them the BBB. Do not patronize this company. They are crooks with subpar appliances !

We purchased air fryer last march 2023…

We purchased air fryer last march 2023 quit working after 11 months had it replaced by home hardware free of charge identical model and it has now quit working 4 months later. We use it approximately 4 times a week and clean it after every use! Will not buy another Chefman product :::: works well while it works but needs to last longer than a few months!

A nightmare ...

When a kettle I purchased from Chefman sprung a leak, contacted both Amazon as the retailer, and Chefman as the seller/manufacturer. Amazon eventually agreed to refund the original payment, and so did Chefman - after much toing and froing of emails. It might seem that I expected both companies to cough-up the refund, but those who are familiar with either (or both) of these two companies will know that it's not that straight forward.

The problems!

Amazon released the refund to a now-closed bank account, while Chefman sent the refund to a non-existent PayPal account.

Are you beginning to get the picture?

After discussing the issue with Amazon - several times - it became clear there is no substantive policy in place to deal with the issue of refunds going astray. I received a variety of excuses from Amazon. With no two people agreeing on any one point.

This itself is telling!

After pursuing the issue unsuccessfully with both companies, I learned that the refund issued by Amazon had in fact been accepted by my previous bank, before being swallowed up. I received no notification from either Amazon or the bank - in fact, my previous bank was involved in the switching process, so where I went was no secret.

Upon calling the bank in question - bear in mind how difficult it is to find a number to call a bank when you hold no account - I learned there was/still is no record of the transaction.

With 3 companies involved in this, it was initially difficult to know to which of them a complaint should be addressed. Upon seeking advice from The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), I can safely say that the banking institution is largely responsible, though doesn't mitigate the 'wrongness' in my dealings with the other 2.

While Chefman was at least approachable and accommodating, the same cannot be said about the other 2.

Advice? You are better off travelling to the high street. The larger the company, the further away from its customers it is.

Great costumer service

I bought air fryer and it was fantastic! Unfortunately 2 months after it stopped working (electric issue). I decided to contact manufacturer to see if something can be done. Costumer service is stunning! They responded to my emails within hours, requested some information and proof, then offered me a replacement! After very bad costumer service in the past with other companies I didn't expect chefman to be so supportive!

Do not buy Chefman product .

Do not buy Chefman products if you don't want to waste your money. I bought an air fryer from home hardware and after one year when the warranty is gone, the door has crack although I used it fewer times and rubber gasket was torn. Contacted customer service, they said Chefman doesn't have replacement product and they offered me 20% discount for buying new one. So just for rubber gasket, I have to buy new one. What a joke ?

This company sucks!!!

I bought their microwave/crisper over a month ago. When I opened the box the ring that the turntable spins on was missing. I contacted them the same day and was told the part wasn't in stock. Are you kidding me? How are you manufacturing the product without that simple part? Over a month ago!!! If I could have rated them a zero, I would have. Steer clear of this company, their customer service sucks!!!

Bought a Chefman Microcrisp Microwave…

Bought a Chefman Microcrisp Microwave on 22nd Feb this year and it had problems out of the box - the glass plate lugs did not sit down into the reciprical holes in the turntable. As such, the plate only moved on the turntable due to its weight and the weight of what was beiong cooked and only rotated spasmodically.

A couple of weeks later, the thing started making a grinding/grating noise when running, as such I contacted Chefman by phone and spoke to a Carmen (my supposed case manager) who asked me to take a video and pics of the problems. I did that sand sent them to her the next day. After 3 or 4 days I finally got a reply that consisted of her wanting additional pictures. Again, they were taken and sent. A further 3 or 4 days passed before I got another reply wanting more videos and pictures of what I had already sent them. All they are doing is dragging this matter out and nothing more - definately NOTHING to remedy the problems let alone offering a replacement Microwave or full refund, especially as this Carmen acknowledged the fact that there is a grinding/grating sound that she admits is not right.

According to her, Chewfman has NEVER had these problems before so they are trying to find out why they have happened. How can they find the problem when I have the damn thing? Frankly, I don't care what the problem is or why it happened - I now want a full $150 refund from Chefman as they obviously cannot be trusted to effectively remedy customer problems.

Chefman Airfryer

Chefman Airfryer, was so excited to finally get an airfryer chose Chefman. Cooked sausage on tray...was cooking in its grease sprayed all over oven and up into fan. Dangerous extra clean up. How can it be healthy meat sitting in own grease. Would not recommend

I love my Chefman airfryer

I love my Chefman airfryer! The capacity is huge. I can cook a whole chicken in it. I also had to communicate with the customer service and the whole experience was just amazing! They are fast, professionnals and they really want to help you, what they did perfectly with me.

Chefman is crap!!!!!

I bought a chefman air fryer a little over a year ago it now has a broken door, will not close the spring has broken. All they offer is 20% off on a new one. Don't buy chefman!!!!

Air fryer stopped working

Air fryer stopped working, smelt a little bit of smoke.

Went to open the top compartment, seen that the PCB unit was burnt out; stopped working after 8 months.

Chefman refuses to help since I took the liberty of opening up the top of the compartment just to see inside the machine and verify what the issue was.

Will never be buying anything Chefman branded again.

I bought a Chefman kettle about a year…

I bought a Chefman kettle about a year ago. The power switch has stopped working, so it needs replacing. I contacted Chefman customer report and went through the process of proving purchase and supplying a video to illustrate the problem. The auto reply advised I would get a response in 3-5 business days. On day 11 now and so far no response. Reading the other reviews on trustpilot leads me to think this company is not interested in retaining customers. My advice is to not buy Chefman products. Poor quality products and no customer service.
