Excellent Sound Level Meters and back up service
The Optimus Sound Level Meters and the Trojan Noise Nuisance Recorders are comprehensively equipped with the full range of measurement parameters.This makes using them very easy. Simply calibrate the meter and press start to begin measuring noise.
Results are downloaded to the straightforward noise Noise Tools. Annotating recordings is easy as is exporting reports of the project.
The sales staff are friendly and knowledgeable as are the calibration team. This makes me confident in using and recommending Cirrus to anybody who needs to use a Sound Level Meter or Noise Nuisance Recorders

Not a good experince
I ordered a Outdoor kit and Type 1 meter I had previously ordered the same kit. which was first class I order the same kit as before.
1 outdoor box is not as good construction, the padlock locations are not enforced and are far too small to fit a sercure padlock. the handle had a sharp edge which required trimming.
2 the kit was supplied without a Microphone, leading to having to take the outdoor microphone to pieces to be able to calibrate the the recorder. no tools no explanation how to do this at night in the rain.
3 No tripod
4 Battery life or charge state is unknown, no indicator fitted. Charger is is attached by slide on clips which are not designed for repeated use again is difficult to fit and remove and only one battery at a time can be charged.
After a 20 years of using Cirrus I was very disappointed I wont be ordering anymore equipment from Cirrus. Once this needs Kit needs replacing I will seek an alternative supplier.

Trainer Craig Storey tailored the HAV course at our site to suit our companies requirements and the existing knowledge of the attendees. We would definitely recommend Cirrus Research for this type of training based on their knowledge and expertise in this area.

The only reason for not giving five stars…
The only reason for not giving five stars is that this customer service review partly relates to repairs carried out to rectify damage during delivery of a set of dose badges from Cirrus. Cirrus immediately undertook to repair the damage, which they did. The equipment was recalibrated by Cirrus and delivered back as agreed.
Two further sound level meters had their keypads repaired at the same time following a number of years of heavy use. Again repairs, recalibration and delivery were all carried out as agreed.

I bought a noise meter from Cirrus and I have to say the machine is very user friendly and easy for a non noise professional to use. The software is also very easy to use. Purchasing from Cirrus was a good experience.
