Highly efficient process with exceptional service
My solicitor recommended that Compass assist with Stamp Duty Land Tax to avoid issues due to the complex, ever-shifting and frequently controversial area of UK taxation. The process was very straightforward, but after completing the online questionnaire, I was unsure about some of my responses. I was rescued by Raj, who (as if by magic) called to run through the form and ensured all was correct for submission. An absolutely excellent service in every respect.

Our role is to review the full facts of a transaction and confirm the correct SDLT position, particularly where estates, family members, or linked interests are involved. These situations can materially change the tax outcome depending on the detail.
In cases like this, a slightly different structure or entitlement can result in a very different SDLT position, including access to reliefs that significantly reduce the tax due. Our review is designed to confirm whether those apply and ensure the correct amount is paid. We have been trying to contact you to talk through the assessment and would still be very happy to explain what was reviewed on your behalf if you would like to discuss it further.
