I had a very disappointing experience with Complete Building Control Company.

Throughout the project, inspections were not carried out diligently, and there was little confidence that visits were thorough or meaningful. After each visit, no clear feedback was provided, leaving us uncertain whether the work met the required standards or needed addressing.

More concerningly, a completion certificate was issued before the gas and electrical certificates were in place, which raises serious questions about the robustness of their processes and checks.

When I raised these concerns, the response was defensive and came across as aggressive rather than constructive or professional.

Overall, I would strongly recommend not using this company.

It has been a real pleasure dealing with Paul our building control inspector. He is always professional and concise in his dealings. We are happy with the service Complete Building Control has offered. Appointments are easy to make and Paul is always punctual. Definitely will be using this service again

Great service across all of my projects.
I have worked with Complete BC for over 2 years now on approximately 30 project across the UK. I have never had an issue getting them out to inspect at short notice, asking advice or receiving my final BC certificate efficiency. All inspectors work with you rather than against you and the office are supportive in uploading the documents and facilitating the final certificate. In a world where you need consistency. Complete BC provide exactly that.

i have used this company for years ever since clive started it many moons ago, recently ask for a quote for
new project but no reply or confirmation.
i believe in staying loyal and never had issue before but this is not very professional not getting back to loyal customers

In 2013 we had an extension and renovation to our house. The project manager/RICS Surveyor engaged Total Building Control as part of the project control as assurance and governance for the project. The physical work started in June 2013 and was completed and signed off by June 2016. We were unhappy about some items which resulted in a visit from TBC. Nothing was done about our queries. Several issues have arisen since 2015 but TBC have brushed off any questions that have been asked. The latest issue is a leaking roof of an orangery built in 2014/15 as part of our refurbishment/extension project. We are insured with NFU but their appointed assessor says that the materials used in the lantern roof are suffering from wear and tear or were faulty or suffering from poor workmanship and are therefore not insured. The assessor also said there was rising damp in the orangery. I wrote to TBC to ask how long a structure as used in our orangery should last and also for advice about checking water ingress as the insurance assessor said that we have rising damp in the orangery. As with previous queries nothing, other than receipt of my email, has happened. I can only conclude that we have had non worth or help for the £500.00 paid to TBC for their governance and assurance.

Allowed the builder to get away with anything. Didn't check plumbing, insulation was installed correctly and to standard. The build didn't match the plans in a conservation area, which warranted a threat of a breach of condition notice. All this was signed off by this terrible company.

Dear Sir/madam,

Why did you cancel this application in middle of a job. I spoke to your extremely rude director who refused to complete this application despite the inspector in question whose reason you are cancelling, not having any contact with me or site visits. A site inspection was carried out by another building inspector. Your rude director was not helpful which his colourful language. Please arrange a full refund immediately. I will make sure that you company has adequate reviews!

The inspector was very knowledgeable and ensured the contractor worked properly and safely in order to finish the project within the regulations. regular visits within a reasonable timeframe

Helpful staff , company director helping to offer quotations better than market price and still maintaining great customer service

Company has no proper procedures. Issued all final certificates even after the surveyour admitted later that the pipework for my property was never checked and was never to standards. Called up the office for them to say they will contact back, its been 3 month and still no word. Stay clear, they cannot do the basics! We have to get pipework re done as the council are not happy. Really poor

Perfect service from start to finish and I use them for numerous projects.
Building inspector Jagbir is helpful, reliable and works with you and the office staff are extremely professional yet efficient.
Even the MD Melap goes out of his way to assist projects.
Highly recommended.

I felt like I had to make a public statement.

I am currently in the process of smash and grabbing the clients money.
I discriminately terminate my employees contracts which has left my business very short.

All I care about is the money, and I will continue to take it for as long as the regulators allow me too.

Fantastic service received from Complete Building Control and it's surveyors. Our project lasted 2.5years and we have had continued support from complete, whether it be with flexible survey times or general advice, would highly recommend

Absolute scam of an organisation - am having to start legal proceedings to get my fee back. No one responds to your emails, there is no telephone number to contact.

Con artists, they took my money and disappeared last year. When they started to operate again several months later I asked for a refund for money I had paid as I had to pay the council all over again to undertake my project, no surprise they declined.
Cowboys and will be reported to regulators and trading standards.

I am an elderly person, moved into a small bungalow for health reasons , wanted a little more space, so decided to have a garden room built on. The Builder recommended Complete Building Control because things would be much quicker and smoother than using the local authority (what a joke). Some reports were written but nothing is followed up when they have pointed things out that are wrong. How long my garden room will remain standing is any ones guess. I paid over £1400 for not a lot. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
