They are not answering phone calls. Just tell you their opening times and ask YOU to leave a message. Not on. This is a scam company. Don't touch them.

Rude service and arrogant attitude

This is based upon true facts and experiences I have ordered 2 coins one gold sovereign and it was faulty and another coin and the capsule was not finished correctly I had emailed mark and was notified he will let Matthew know to find a resolution it has been 5 days and no one has made contact. Today I spoke to Tim he was rude and arrogant I explained my situation he didn't care and said I must pay for the postage to get a refund. He didn't like that I was complaining he was a type of person who just expected me to swallow the cost and faulty item absolutely disgusting service. This company is not genuine the service is appalling they just want you to buy but then if something goes wrong they will not help you. Tim is rude and his attitude was intimidating. Do not buy from this company. I explained I wanted to speak to a manager now that was not granted and Tim said they won't be able to do anything either.

Ordered silver sovereign by phone after seeing TV advert, the agent was polite and helpful and the ordering process was easy. Coin was delivered promptly and well packaged. No issues and hassle free 👍

Avoid! Con!!!!

This was terrible and disgusting experience. First, I ordered new £50 note King Charles III and set of new coins with 50p Salmon. Then, I was contacted from the company and offered special limited set of: first and last notes Queen Elizabeth 2nd and King Charles III including two set of coins, pre-decimale Queen Elizabeth 2nd and new King Charles III where two coins ment to be 1oz silver 0.999. Certificate was all wrong, no proof of silver, dates on the notes and on the certificate was all wrong. I call them, and communicate with email dragging too long. Send them set back 10 days ago, no response. I've got proof of delivery, promised to pay the postage, nothing happened!
Tired to call them many times, redirected to machine, left name and phone number as requested to them to call me back, never happened! Shame on you! Awful and disgusting! Wasted time for nothing!

Avoid

As a new customer taken in with the wonderful RBL silver proof coin at £29 I was interested.
According to the text on the information sheet - delivery was due in 2 to 3 days.
That was November 7th.
Its now November 28 , and according to the website it states that a coin has not been designated to me.
So, I call them up and guess what, I will not get this thing until after Dec 3 onwards......
Enough. I have been patient and now I have had enough.
No communication from them to tell me that there is a delay in supplying the coin,together with the fact that they are advertising something they cannot supply.
Incidentally, they were to send this 2nd class -untracked!!! I should have known better.
Be warned.

Cant take money off my card for whatever reason..

This is the second consecutive month that I have received correspondence indicating that my payment has not been processed successfully. Last month, I updated my payment information with a different card and the payment was processed successfully. However, earlier this week, I received a similar letter stating that the payment was unsuccessful. I am perplexed by this situation, as I was previously assured that the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately, I am unable to call in every month to make payments over the phone due to my work commitments. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

No Coins, No Communication

Ordered coins on 11 August, after making a call, they said they had run out of stock and would be sending coins on 6 September. Rang today on 30 September to cancel, no communication, avoid. Don't use 01202 number, use 0330 900 1180

Always reliable customer service

I have always had great interactions with customer service agents at CPM, including Michelle who's been amazing!
The coins I've bought have been good value for money.
Only once did I order an old coin which did not meet the standard I expected. However, I was able to return the coin without any problems.

Fraud-Charged my credit card twice for the…

Charged my credit card twice for the same order and only contact from them is to try to get me to buy something else.
Customer service does not respond to emails and all you will receive is a barrage of sales calls.
Avoid this company as they will scam you out of money!!!! A total fraud.

Having used CPM for many years, without any difficulties, someone in the organisation has made online payments impossible, resulting in a continuous barrage of letters, stating the account is in arrears.
Having emailed direct, the response is also very poor.
A shame to see the standards have slipped so much and wouldn't advice using CPM.
If, you would like to purchase coins, I would advice Westminster coins

I have been a customer of CPM for many…

I have been a customer of CPM for many years and have always praised their service, however this does not extend to their accountancy. I bought a coin from them in June and phoned them to pay in full. I thought that was the end of the matter. Today I received a bill (6 weeks later) for £82.49 as they had forgotten to add the initial payment and postage! Now I'm not querying about paying, what I am complaining about, is the lack of competency when billing someone, especially a good customer like myself. It's not particularly nice to have a bill turn up 6 weeks later when it could have been avoided if they had done their job in the first place. As a result I have asked for my account to be closed and to be removed from their lists. It's a shame because I had a good relationship with them, but they are not the cheapest and therefore I expect good service. Not, to receive an account 6 weeks later implying I'm avoiding payment, when I was quite happy to pay in full and it was their error. This practice needs to be looked into by CPM or they will lose other good customers.

Overpriced EIC Coins

I bought the "First East India Company (EIC) Sovereign of King Charles III Reign" from CPM Coins at a cost of £995 + p/p. I opted to pay for it by ten installments, for which I'm grateful. Feeling proud, I showed it to my friend. When I told him the price, he was aghast! He told me the EIC were selling them on their website for £695. I didn't know EIC had a website so when I looked on EIC website, the price was indeed £695 but they were sold out. I suspect that CPM bought the remaining bulk lot and decided to sell them for the inflated price of £995 - £300 more than EIC. I know that CPM have to make a profit - BUT COME ON!!! 44%!!!! I'LL REPEAT THAT:- "FORTY-FOUR PER-CENT"!!!!! I have told CPM that I wlll not buy any EIC coins from CPM. I will still look at non-EIC coins on CPM website. I've opened a EIC account to this effect. I've bought many EIC sovereigns and 'one or two others' from CPM Coins over the past year, I suspect at the same rate of inflated price I bought this one. Heaven only knows how much I 'overpaid'??? - Probably £2,000! I emailed CPM Coins outlining my concerns and the path I was going to take. I received a reply from Ms Sarah Nunn which didn't answer my concerns. I suspect they couldn't for fear of incriminating themselves. I am certainly NOT a happy bunny! Not as far as their pricing of EIC Coins is concerned!!!!!!! :~(

7 August 2023. I received a response from 'Jennie' at CPM wanting more details. I gave them my email address. NOT telephone number as I have a hearing loss. TRUSTPILOT have said that if I don't reply, my review will be taken off! Typical!

8 August 2023. I received a more detailed email from Jennifer Harwood. On the point of pricing, she explained 'overheads' etc., but didn't answer the point about excessive profits etc. She explained that CPM cannot price-match the £695 EIC were asking. I don't think she understood that 44% profit is a little extreme! She explained that CPM offers interest-free installments which most competitors don't. Well, Hattons (for one) DO offer interest-free installments! In any case most investors will have credit cards. She 'refunded my p/p - £7.99 - as "a gesture of goodwill"!' I offered a suggestion; to offer a 'LOYALTY SCHEME'. Whether or not CPM take forward this suggestion, who knows? I'll keep you posted. Watch this space!

9 August 2023. I received an unhelpful reply from JH. She reiterated what was mentioned before! She mentioned that they will consider my suggestion. She mentioned the fact that they issue a '30-day Money Back Guarantee' which was irrelevant. What I don't understand is; why do they have to buy a bulk lot from EIC, if not to make a thumping great profit? As I said before, I will buy EIC coins from EIC, and use my credit card. Even if I pay it off at the same rate as CPM but incur interest charges, it is still going to cost less than £300!

10 August 2023. Just as an afterthought, it's strange how/why CPM don't respond direct on TRUSTPILOT instead of sending 3 emails directly to my email address! What are they trying to hide? Could it be that they want to hide their true intentions from existing and new clients/customers? Hmm! I wonder!

Very, very poor

I ordered a King Charles 1/40th oz gold coin on 03/05/2023. On 13/06 I haven't received the coin or heard anything from the company so I sent an email. They replied back telling me they can't match my name to my address, could I send a copy of a utility bill. Having read some of the previous reviews this seems to be a common problem. This is very strange because I vote, so I'm on the electoral roll, and I used to have an account with this company. I don't expect to receive the coin now. I will not be using this company again.

Thanks for your reply. The information you wanted was provided on 14/06/23. Haven't heard anything since.

Update; The coin arrived today. It looks like it has been bought from ebay. The cardboard packaging is falling apart and it's in a dirty plastic bag.

Very stressful business to deal with…

Very stressful business to deal with stock was due a month ago almost now when it was updated to 2-3 working day dispatch I sent a lot of messages and emails no reply. then out of nowhere I was asked for personal information to confirm my order I got offered something called a gift account and I requested again for my account to be closed I wish I didn't provide my DoB now becuase all that got ignored and now I am told it will be shipped in a few days.

Updated 10.7.23:
After two weeks of only one of the two orders arriving even though I made countless messages and emails to cancel both orders and to close the account, in which no response was recieved I only got responses after this was already shipped out. With only one being delivered and I wanted to return both for a refund now instead I am being told they can only add credit to my account or send a replacement. A replacement to something which I made countless attemps to cancel the orders in the first place. When the 30 days money back guarantee means from date of ordering not dispatch this is getting worse.

At the end of my tether with this…

At the end of my tether with this company. My advice is there are now many better companies selling the very same products at more competitive prices.

I have dealt with a manager at CMP named Rob Vincent whilst initially he never returns calls and even more annoying if he tells you he is going to do something on your account he’s unlikely to do what he said and then you start getting the constant CMP reminder emails. Not because you’ve done anything wrong but because Mr Vincent hasn’t done what he should have done. When call to discuss matters with him you have to leave a message but he does not return your call. This is a manager, perhaps that should tell you something about how this company operate.

Left two messages for Rob Vincent just last week was advised the messages would be marked urgent, still awaiting a reply.

If you are considering buying gold coins Britannia Coins and Kensington Mint are far better options than these lot. James at Kensington Mint is excellent and returns calls in minutes and is a very pleasant chap to deal with.

I definitely won’t be speaking or dealing with these lot again. Very poor and expensive.
