We enrolled our 8 year old in the YouTube creator camp and he absolutely loved it! He was excited to be there and create. The staff was friendly and really cared about the kids. I would highly recommend this camp to others. Looking forward to the next time

My son attended the Minecraft camp at the Cypress MET (HUB) location this past Thursday and Friday. He had so much fun that he asked me to register him for another camp later this summer. Drop off and pick up was easy, the camp was affordable, all information was sent well before the class started and any questions I had were answered quickly. My son said the instructor was very kind and made the class entertaining. Overall, my son had a great experience and we would definitely recommend it to others.

The project is were informative and engaging.

This week’s camp at Davis-Monthan AFB was absolutely amazing! Mr. Jalen and Mr. Alex did an incredible job, and I truly appreciate the effort and passion they brought. I sincerely hope to see more camps like this in the future!

I understand that many parents are cautious when it comes to exposing their children to technology, and I completely respect that concern. However, I also believe that in trying to protect them, we may unintentionally limit their ability to thrive in a world that is increasingly driven by tech. Our kids deserve the opportunity to learn and grow in this space, and this camp was a huge step in the right direction.

I’d love to see future camps explore topics like generative AI, with a focus on how to use it ethically and responsibly. It would also be valuable to introduce tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, helping kids express creativity in digital formats.

Additionally, I believe it’s essential to teach students about online safety, cybersecurity, and what not to share on social media. These topics are critical for helping our kids navigate the internet safely and responsibly.

You’ve earned my trust this week, I entrusted my child to you, and you absolutely delivered. I can’t wait to see what you offer next. Thank you for creating such a meaningful and empowering experience!

Participation by my grandson, Kaayel, made reviewing his work worthwhile. I look forward to talking to him about his involvement in the project. How did he incorporate the voice over? The music at the end of the video "scripter" was quite good. What part did he play in the selection and incorporating it in the video? The special effects were also worth mentioning. Overall A+ for the effort.

Emily had such a great time. She came home everyday excited about what she learned. She was really excited for the last day for everyone to watch her video.

Calum would like to thank Ethan and Donia for the great camp this week! He enjoyed the CapCut filming and they were great counselors!

My son had a great time and enjoyed going each day to the YouTube camp. It is usually impossible to get him to go anywhere. We loved the lowkey, quiet atmosphere and the opportunity for him to just be himself and be accepted. Chloe, Sawyer and Darien were so welcoming and got to know the kids each day. They were not critical or demanding and I could tell my son felt safe. It's not often that I receive positive feedback about my son, but these three instructors clearly understood kids like him, welcomed him, and encouraged him.

Awesome! What a fun experience for the kids. Love it. ❤️

Trent had a great time and wanted to come back for another week!

The counselor, Amelia, was so wonderful - very kind and patient and supportive. Loved getting her card at the end of camp! My son enjoyed the first camp - the You Tube Creator camp a bit more than the 2nd camp which was about You Tube gaming . . . he didn't feel he learned as much about how to make gaming videos as he did in the content creating of the first camp. Would love to find more classes during the school year!

My 6 year old grandson said he had fun, but couldn’t tell me what he actually learned how to do in Roblox. He said they watched a movie, but how do I know this wasn’t just an expensive 2 days of babysitting? How can I see what he created? There is no report for parents.

My son had such a great time at the Roblox camp that he didn’t want to leave. The atmosphere was awesome! He made new friends and truly enjoyed the instructors/teachers in particular Mr. Riley. Thanks for such a fun experience!

My daughter had a great time and learned skills for using her device as a producer, not an endless consumer (scroller!). Thank you to the whole team!

My son enjoyed the camp so much! As someone who is usually not very social he talked about all the friends he made as well as his instructors and just all the fun things they did in camp! 10/10.

My son attended the Roblox Camp and had such an amazing week. Every day he was excited to come home and tell us all about the things they did and the friends he met. We’re thinking about signing up for another one!

Our son LOVED his camps! Lego Animators with Nico and Minecraft Redstone with Azul were both super exciting and full of creativity! He loved both instructors and said they were helpful and kind. He was excited to go back every day.

Creator Camp was "just ok" in my eyes.
For the record, I would have given Creator Camp 2.5 stars if that had been an option.

If you want the TLDR, I felt that this camp was basically expensive babysitting.

To be fair, I might have had my expectations too high, but I'll break down the positives and negatives.

The first day, was a huge disappointment for me as a parent. There was ZERO signage outside, so the only way I knew I was in the right area was that other cars were gathering in that same area. (Once I got out of the car to get my kids checked in, I actually spotted a really nice sandwich board Creator Camp sign inside the building that I assume was supposed to be outside, but it wasn't).

I think they also should have had a sign outside saying
"Doors open at 8:30". A lot of us were there early because the emails we were sent said "Camp starts at 8:30". Usually, that distinction isn't that big of a deal, but Creator Camp offers an early drop off option, so when us parents that didn't pay for early drop off saw the kids getting dropped off early, there was a lot of confusion. Perhaps in the email they sent us just a few days before camp, they should have reminded us that early drop off was an option and if we see kids going in early, their parents paid for that option.

But here are the 3 things I'm most upset about:
1) When I picked up my kids the first day, they both told me that the playground they were sent to for afternoon recess was literally dangerous and falling apart.

2) When I texted the Camp Manager (we were provided his number should any questions/ concerns arise) about the playground situation - he literally never responded. Ever.

3) This is the part that may or may not be Creator Camp's fault - maybe my expectations were too high, but is it really too much to ask that my kids actually LEARN something while attending something called "Creator Camp"? To give a little context, there are different Creator Camps, and the one we chose is called "Lego Animators", and in that particular camp, the kids use this app you download onto your iPad in the days prior to camp. My kids told me that on the first morning, all the Creator Camp staff did was was show them a video or two about how to use the app (which took just a few minutes) and the rest of Days 1 and 2, the camp staff was available for questions. Literally, that was it.
Somehow I just thought there would be more learning / teaching. I thought there would be more, "use this camera angle if you want to do this" or "every few shots, stop and make sure everything is lined up and looking consistent," stuff like that. But that's not what my kids conveyed to me. In fact, one of my kids knew more about the app than their assigned staff person did.

But the bottom line is, would I send my kids to Creator Camp again? And the answer is... maybe. And that is because my kids had an absolute BLAST and want to go again. I would just go into it with different expectations.
