Nothing to sell!
So I found my new bike parts on Cykel-house’s glossy web page , all shiny and bling and everything looked great. A new ‘oak stem , ti bolts and some spacers. Order received and the saga starts. I chased them after a week of nothing only to be told sorry the stem is out of stock ! With our supplier ! … sorry I didn’t order it with anyone else I ordered from you . They then said there is a notice on the web page stating more info on this. In fact the notice only says it can be an additional 3 working day briefly.. nothing like it can be forever! Then I asked where the parts are coming from - they responded Canada!.. this may be the case but when I searched on Oak components direct they are made in Europe and shipped from Germany? I asked them to swap my stem from grey which was now going to be 45+ days , to a raw version which was in stock! We’re 3+ weeks in by now. all fine , but now they need 2 weeks for the gold ti bolts !. It’s been another 2 weeks and I’ve heard nothing. Oak components do have the gold ti bolts in stock for sale on their web page ready to ship!. The whole lot of it is just bad!!. Bad bad bad !. don’t waste your time with buying anything UNLESS.. it’s actually in stock and ready to sell!! - so you’ll need to check before ordering anything. One good note is that the company actually did respond and get back to me whenever I chased them up via email , hence the 2 stars and not 1. I have been issued a refund so hopefully I’ll get this as quick as my order was payed for (instantly) and not have to chase them for that. It is unfortunate but really , you can sell stuff if you haven’t got it and then expect people to wait forever!

Great help phone , my new wheels were delivered in a very well protected box and am pleased with how the wheel’s turned out .

Oak brake levers are hard to find. Cykel House in the UK were the only place I could find these in the colour I was chasing. They were also less expensive than here in Australia. Very good service and fedex postage.

I ordered my 5dev cranks from Cykel house, and they kindly expedited my shipping to Royal Mail special delivery as I was going away, which enabled myself to receive my cranks before going away.

Brilliant!! Will be using you guys again…..in fact I just have for my chainring!

Now I don’t normally update my edits however I feel this needs to be adjusted due to the abrupt customer services I have just recieved in regards to returning a false advertised product.

Received the 5dev chainring, however this wasn’t the “classic version” that was advertised on cykelhouse website. A lot of other websites advertise their 5dev chainrings as a t-type, some as “classic”

This T-type version may well be an updated version of the “classic” but I did not order the T-type - yet received the T-type, even though I ordered the “classic chainring” what cykelhouse have advertised.

The images on Cykel house are incorrect and falsely advertised, no where at the time of writing this review does their website state “images for illustration purposes only”

The replies I received via email in regards to returning this item (due to it being incorrectly advertised - images) were nothing but unhelpful, and most certainly abrupt, leaving myself feeling uneasy and concerned/apprehensive .

Certainly not what you would expect after spending near £600 on 5dev accessories within the last month from Cykel house.

This updated trustpilot review will receive a reply from Cykelhouse stating it was the correct item….but it wasn’t, the item received did not visually match the websites advertised item. To myself, that is incorrect advertisement. That is final.

I for one will certainly not be using this company again (based upon the rude replies I received via email) and if I were yourself, would consider going to a different company before ordering.

Order was easy to do, item came quickly and well pack. Could track the item easily.

A great buying experience from cykelhouse .
Quick to answer the phone with a very polite manner and answered my questions also sorted out problems quickly and kept me informed throughout.

These guys are brilliant. I had a small problem on my Trek Rail 5 last year that baffled me but they identified the problem quickly and rectified it. So I returned last week with an ongoing front fork issue. The bike is still under warranty but having given Trek the opportunity to sort it at one of their dealerships it was no better. Even had it 3 1/2 weeks. Very long story with issues at Trek and a very poor service and warranty so decided to give Cykel House the job. Booked in, taken in on a given day and ready for collection the same afternoon. Even spent time with me setting up the front and rear shocks to my preference. Had a day out on it the following day and it's like a new bike. Their service and knowledge is second to none and for sure I'll be using their services for all my needs in future. This is how a bike shop should be.

Well managed service, had to call and re-direct a part due heading back to the UK early, the part was there upon arrival.
