i engaged with dws legal two mths ago for house sale,two days ago they abruptly informed me they could not proceed , no explanation,im disgusted lack of professionalism dont waste your time with this company laura adoktorova solictor

I have been very impressed with DWS. They have kept me informed every step of the way with my house sale and I have felt very reassured in their hands. The customer service has been excellent and nothing has been a problem for them. I will definitely be using them again and will be recommending them to friends and family

I recently purchased a home and used DWS Legal as my solicitors. My case was handled by Aaliya Moledina and Brooke Johnson, who provided an excellent service throughout. Communication was quick, every question was answered clearly, and I was kept updated at every stage of the purchase. All the paperwork was explained in a straightforward way, including what to sign and what to send as physical copies, which made the process much easier. Very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend.

D-W-S team - highly recommended for finance/ refinance transaction (and property purchase)- very responsive, fast, finding solutions to problems, made the process of obtaining finance very efficient, we managed to complete withing 3 weeks which is a great result. Highly recommended.

I would not recommend this firm based on my experience.

While the transaction did complete, the process lacked control, clarity, and attention to detail. Communication was largely reactive, with limited visibility unless chased.

At critical stages, particularly around completion, there were avoidable issues with the completion statement and handling of a gifted equity arrangement. This led to confusion between solicitors, a last-minute shortfall being raised, and a missed completion due to poor coordination.

These are not complex matters and should have been resolved well in advance. Instead, they surfaced at the final stage, increasing pressure and delaying completion.

Overall, the transaction completed, but not as a result of a well-managed process.

I think the company probably has too much work and not enough lawyers or something: I see the other reviews talk about excellent communication, but we had communication blackouts for weeks at a time and no useful information from them. The worst thing was that our names were slightly changed on the original title because of marriage and another small change, and they refused to help us to change the name despite the buyers requiring it. This caused us a ton of work and was eventually resolved by us talking to the buyer via the estate agent to persuade them that the name change wasn't needed.

You might wonder if they did so because of some red flag they had detected, but they seemed to think that we could just log in to the land registry and change it in a few hours, which is so far from true that it's laughable --- they just didn't have the experience to know how the land registry works.

Overall I'm only not giving 1 star because we did get the house sold. There has to be room at the bottom for times when their performance causes the sale to fall through.

I don't want to blame the individual who helped us because it seems most likely that the whole law firm is just struggling with experience/time/money, but the service we received was not satisfactory at all.

DWS were extremely efficient and definitely went above and beyond to help us with the purchase of our property in as quick a time as they possibly could . Hilary Cruz was amazing and always returned our calls , nothing was too much trouble and explained everything fully . We would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Second time using DWS and Samantha for the sale of a property. Prompt response to emails, only reason I have given 4 not 5 stars is that I have not been able to speak to anyone over the phone on the couple of times I have tried although most issues were resolved via email
Excellent fee structure
