Horrible customer service!!!

Horrible customer service!!!
They have frozen my account several times without reason or notice. It has been so embarassing being out in public with friends or for a work event, and my casrd gets denied when it has thousands of dollars left in available balance.
No fraudulent activity.
No internation transaction.
No where near my limit.
Just paying for a lunch for clients and waiter / waitress returns to tell you that the card is declined.

Several times this has happened. Each time taking several days to address because each employee forwards the message to another, and each time they have up to ( and they have uesed it every time ) 48o hours to respond.

So, to answer one question, like why is my account frozen, it will take roughly 6 days . . .

When I confronted the company about this mishandling of their product, I was thrown into a forwarding loop with each person forwarding me to another agent.

Most recently, Ms. S. Ailiya gave me no information on the status of my account, no information on when it would be unfrozen, and no regard for her stress and embarassment that her company has caused.
I chose this card because my favorite casino has a credit rewards program through them.
But after all this, I am canceling my card immediately, and I pray that Caesars Rewards finds a better company to do business with, cuz casinos are all about customer service, and this company clearly has no interest in it's customers.

Do not bother with a Talbots credit…

Do not bother with a Talbots credit card from Comenity Bank. Due to a clerical error, they began drafting my bank account for someone else's credit card. When the error was discovered, they gave me credit on my account (which conveniently for them, requires me to spend money) but refuse to issue a check or credit back to my bank account. They are totally incompetent.

FRAUDSTERS

FRAUDSTERS. There is nothing legitimate at all in my eyes. This company believes they can skirt around their credit card agreement and do whatever they want and not be held accountable. They create bogus charges and it is a great scheme as many people don’t notice and pay it. However, tge second they are caught and a person complains…the charges are gone. But, they turn around after that in some poor attempt at best and retaliate by lowering your credit limit. Go with another credit card company…one that is actually legit and not in the BBB watchlist.

CONSUMER FRAUD

CONSUMER FRAUD: FILE WITH YOUR STATE’S ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE & RECORD YOUR CALLS WITH COMENITY CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS.
They acquired AAA Visa credit card from Bank of America. Since the acquisition, six months now, their website rejects access to register for access to my CC account. I have spoke with customer service numerous times wherein they state they are “upgrading their system and just keep checking back”. I was told paper statements can’t be sent to me until I register on their website. People are led by example, it is glaringly apparent Comenity is led by MORONS.
My consumer fraud complaint has been filed today with the STATE OF OKLAHOMA, ATTORNEY GENERAL, GENTNER DRUMMOND, CONSUMER FRAUD UNIT.

Terrible bank... do not use them if you don't want problems!

I called and spoke to a representative who told me what the payoff on the Ulta card was. I paid that amount the very same day. (What the rep didn't tell me was that there's this residual interest, and I'd owe $2.00 the following month for it.) I talked to their customer service person, I told him I wanted to close the account. Two months later, it shows up on my credit report as unpaid. The $2.00 had grown to $30.00 for late charges. When I called the 2nd time, I asked her why the first rep had not told me there would be another $2.00 the following month for their residual interest scam. Of course, "she didn't know". Typical answer in lousy companies.

Nefarious, corrupt and liars; rep's are a huge issue

The worst customer service ever. The rep actually lied to me on the phone despite the fact that I had rec'd a letter from them in writing this year! Corrupt, mismanaged and overall unethical company. I've repeatedly called and each time got a different answer in trying to close a loan amount for dental procedures. Completely nefarious and hi percentage loan shark of a company. They don't want to close the loan since July and it is now December which is affecting my credit. The worst! Don't do business with them. they are also the new Vikki Sec credit card company.

Restoration Hardware 8/1/2022 No Longer With Comenity

As of August 1, 2022 I just learned that Restoration Hardware has discontinued its RH Credit Card program. Restoration Hardware is switching over to TD BANK.
That did not stop Comenity Bank billing me almost $300 for charges I never incurred! The last charges for goods at Restoration Hardware were in 2020! I called customer service of Comenity and Restoration Hardware who were kind enough to remove this spurious charge. CAVEAT EMPTOR: check your statements!! I received a bill dated 8/4/2022 seeking payment by 8/24/2022. When I did not pay as requested, they put me in arrears for charges I never incurred!!!! Fraud!! As a lawyer, to this community of consumers, you should all be aware of this shameful activity.

Unethical

I received an interest charge on my account with no existing balance. Then, because I obviously wasn't expecting a balance on that particular card, a late fee and more interest was also applied to my account. I called the customer service line, and it literally hangs up on you right when it starts ringing, every time for over a month now!! I left a message on my online account also and still no response. This company seems very unethical! It's not worth opening an account! As soon as I can resolve this matter (hopefully), I will be closing the account indefinitely.

THE WORST CREDIT CARD COMPANY EVER. DO NOT OPEN AN NFL CARD WITH THEM OR I GUARNATEE YOU WILL BE SORRY. THEY CAN'T EVEN PROVIDE A WORKING WEBSITE TO MAKE PAYMENTS. BEEN OVER 2 MONTHS SINCE THEY BOUGHT OUT BARCLAYS AND THEY STILL DONT HAVE A WORKING WEBSITE.

Comenity bank consistently failed to acknowledge transaction disputes despite several submissions sent using their secure online messaging center.

As of Jan 2022. I am still waiting to be refunded for items returned within the return window from sept 2021. DO NOT APPLY FOR CREDIT CARDS ISSUED THROUGH COMENITY they are hustlers.

Purchased some online items from New York and company. I sent the items back two months ago. After contacting them twice they cannot find the items so I contact Comenity to file a dispute for three transactions, because while NY&C didn’t exactly say they cannot find them each time I’ve called someone (Carl) was going to put m a request for the warehouse to check. At this point they should refund me, however, because they did not I have disputed these transactions in writing with Comenity bank per their online guidelines. Unfortunately, anytime I contacted Comenity using the online portal to inquire about my disputes they ALWAYS indicated their was no dispute or they simply never acknowledged a dispute was submitted and would only respond to certain parts of the email or ask me to call despite their guidelines indicating disputes must be filed in writing. As a result of them constantly replying in this manner, I filed the same disputes MULTIPLE times via the online security messaging center.

After a couple weeks of the back and forth with Comenity I finally called to file the transaction disputes over the phone. I spoke with a rep who indicated she was a Sr. Acct manager and she would take and file the disputes over the phone on my behalf (despite having already submitted the disputes multiple times online as required per their guidelines). Oh I almost forgot prior to speaking with Vanessa the previous rep indicated she could see in the system that my disputes had been removed, which is strange because no one else ever acknowledged there were disputes filed.

Anyway, the Sr. acct manager indicated that even though she filed my disputes there was no reference or confirmation # to be given, but rather I would receive a letter IN THE MAIL with all of my disputes details. As of this review, i have not been issued a temporary credit or confirmation items were disputed.

As far as I am concerned Comenity Bank and New York and Company are actively participating in theft from cardholders. I am waiting for some evidence that the disputed transactions are actually being investigated by Comenity bank.

In parallel while I await for time to pass so I can call Comenity for stsisbonky to have Comenity bank once again fail to acknowledge my disputes I have cancelled ALL Comenity bank credit cards, Victoria Secret’s, Ulta, Wayfair, Bed Bath & Beyond, because the mere thought of potentially dealing with Comenity bank ever again gives me nightmares on a ptsd level. This is seriously causing me tonhave health issues.

I also cancelled my West Elm and Pottery Barn cards, but I think they may no longer be with Comenity bank.

I will also file a complaint with my local attorney’s general office as well as the consumer financial protection bureau.

Going forward I will not apply for any cards managed by Comenity bank and will discourage others whenever possible.

In an effort to avoid such unethical banks I will have to check reviews and other things before applying for any credit card again…this alone give me anxiety. What an awful predicament.

Why is this bank involved with all retail stores. Beware this bank is in business of destroying American values and American made products. Why hasn't the FBI looked into them or IRS? Capitalism ia being given a black eye because of businesses like them.

This Bank is responsible for stealing $943 from me when I ordered a sectional sofa through them on overstock.com. I never received the merchandise and they kept the money and it’s been almost 2 months this bank won’t speak to me neither were overstocked. But there is a glimpse of hope I’m speaking with people from the attorney generals office and letting them know my experiences and they’re investigating their practices

Comenity does not care about their good customers.

I was financially affected due to covid19, and my accounts incurred late fees, I was offered a 6 month hardship plan at 10% apr, after 3 consecutive payments, on the 5th month my account would be credited the late fees. So I called to pay off my balance and they tell me they can only waive 1 late fee, that I have to pay my monthly payments to get all late fees credit back to my account. During this pandemic, I was able to see which creditors really appreciate a good paying customer and Synchrony is the worst in working with their customers. Will pay off all my accounts with Synchrony and close ALL and that’s many accounts I have with them, but I rather give my business to the other company’s who’s been More compassionate about this pandemic. Synchrony will never get a penny more after my accounts are paid off.

Accounts closed without notice

My spouse is military and we were stationed overseas for 3 years. Due to inactivity, the bank closed all three of my accounts- Victoria Secret, ExpressNext, and The Sterling Family of Jewelers, all without any notice. I have never been in default with any of these cards, never had any late payments, nothing. I only found out my cards were closed when I went to the mall with my daughter after moving back to the states and I tried to use them.

They closed the accounts without notice or even an option for me to purchase something to keep them open. They closed the accounts, which hurts my credit score and if I reapply (which is what they enthusiastically encouraged me to do) it hurts my credit. I will never apply for any of their credit cards again.

They should have this information stated somewhere that "even though your account is in good standing and you have never done anything wrong for us to close your account, if you don't utilize your credit card while you are stationed overseas because of military obligations, your account will close without notice!"

Thievery

Thievery. I had a promotional balance on this card in addition to a revolving balance. Prior to the expiration of the promo plan, I paid off the balance, but behind the scene, the bank took part of my payment, applied it to my revolving balance and told me that I in fact did not pay off the promo balance before it expired. They proceeded to back-charge me all of the deferred interest DESPITE ME HAVING MADE A PAYMENT EQUAL TO THE PROMOTIONAL BALANCE! I fought them on it over the phone, I disputed the balance in writing through the mail and they dug their heels in refusing to do anything. How they choose to breakdown payments on their end should be transparent and it’s not.

This bank had been fair with me...but

This bank had been fair with me during my health issues and hospitalizations over the past two years. I feel that they have fairly increased my credit line. My problem is the hold that they put on large payments.

As a Christmas gift, and in celebration of being well again, I decided to redo my dining area. I had a budget for what i wanted to spend and visited several stores and websites. I decided on Wayfair for two major purchases due to the flash sale after Christmas.

I made a large payment to cover the cost of the to items I wanted to purchase. The payment posted and cleared my bank account but my purchase still failed to go through. I contacted customer service and was told it would be five days before my credit would become available due to the size if the payment.

This wasn't a mail in payment. Even if it were, in the day of ACH transactions, that's ridiculous. If I just wanted to make random payments I would have done it long ago to avoid late payments when I was sick. I have been a customer for almost 8 years and never had a returned payment.

The bottom line is that although Wayfair generously offered me a guaranteed price for my items, when and if Comenity releases my funds, chances are that the items will be sold out due to the sale. I have already chosen accessories such add drapes etc to match my theme and I am afraid I will have to start over from scratch. Not to mention, attempting to schedule time away from work in order to properly install everything. Had I known this, I probably would have gone with another seller.

Too Many Accounts For Comenity Capital Bank To Have Site Down Every Weekend Should Not Be My Problem!

I have 3 different accounts with this company New York & Company, Victoria Secret, & IKEA. I am now having issues with the 3rd account with IKEA where website is down constantly typically on the weekends like the highway construction in large cities. This is such an inconvenience every time since I do not work weekends.

If I receive a letter about my account on the weekend I expect to be able to follow up and see what is going on with my account online. I had to call and complain about this over the phone with customer service. I did not want to receive a late or return fee since the card I placed on file was not sufficient enough to stay on auto pay. I hate that this company does not provide a simple auto pay set up. Purposely to get you to forget about your account and pay added fees. I do not like that about this card company. Site down should not affect paying customers, this is business.

I will make sure to close these accounts and stop shopping at these companies because of this issue. I am sure others will follow when they realize this constant problem too.
