Just returned from Abbey Lawn in Torquay with a group of 52,fantastic holiday,wonderful food,lovely staff,couldn’t do enough for us,although being short staffed,they looked after us like Royalty.THANKYOU all very much for your hospitality and service,it is much appreciated.Steve Murley,(group organiser)

cheap but NOT cheerful

Although Daish coach holidays tend to target the elderly my latest stay at the Prince Regent hotel in Weymouth was a joke. I cannot comment on the coach journey as i was self drive but on arrival i was told breakfast was at 8.30 and dinner was at 6.30 so well over 100 people turn up at the same time to be fed by only 3 members of staff waiting in the dining room. I was also told breakfast and dinner was to be preordered. I dont like being told what to do on holiday and quiet frankly it felt like i was staying in a very badly ran old peoples home. The breakfast wasnt too bad but dinner was very poor. Often served cold and very odd mixtures of food. On the last night i had ordered bacon and turkey carbonara and what came out was disgusting. it was mushy rissoto rice with bits in it. I sent it back and settled for a cheese sandwhich . The staff were nice but obviously stressed and overworked. The hotel itself needs a jolly good upgrade inside and out as the old sash windows are rotting. A couple i met had to change room as water was gushing through the windows and down the walls. My advice is pay a bit more and get a nice braek away without being told what to do.

Dashis are rude arrgon't discrimanted against me because of my disablites plus I had sn emtionmal support dog with me & someof the guest kicked her & slapped her & dashish said my dog pooed around the hotel plus was runing wild in the restraunt dishais felt the need to lie plus when guest phone them up complaing do you want the truth behind it was all to do with they just want compensation or money of there next holiday great lenghts people go to Iv'e been in contact with my MP they were disugusited with dashis behaviour towards me as a disabiled person they were rude to me & my mother - inlaw no need for abusive behaviour

Group holiday to Eastbourne

I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday in Eastbourne from the moment I got on ghe coach until the time I arrived home. The staff were polite and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The food was very nice and the hotel itself was clean and tidy. Although a little too hot for most of us. It is well situated on the sea front and a very short walk to the bus stop and town. The entertainment was amazing and had us up dancing all evening. The half prise bar helped.
I would certainly book another holiday. I don't know how they provided my 4 night holiday for £154 but I'm glad they did..

Awful Awful Awful

Do not book with this company absolutely awful stay at the somerset in Llandudno between Christmas and new year. Food awful, not as described and miniscule portions, awful quality. Service terrible, long waits for food and between courses and when asked where food was the server was rude. No heating on at all in the main areas and was very cold, some people having to wear their coats. Could not order cocktails as they are not allowed to order the ingredients in case they don't sell. Still charged the full price though!!!!

Christmas at Somerset Hotel

Just got back from Llandudno after a Xmas break very disappointed the food was atrocious no tablecloths even on Xmas day. The entertainment was dire we waited over an hour every evening before the Bingo and quiz which was something else.No heating in ballroom or dining room spent more time in our rooms which was the warmest place. I’m sorry to say what a dreadful hotel run down and needs total refurbishment as for management well not exactly a people person no staff wore uniforms you didn’t know who was who.

Utterly useless

We booked to go to Blackpool with Daish's on 1st Dec. As last years trip was cancelled we contacted them on 15th Nov to ask if it was still going ahead. On 17th we received a reply from the reservations advisor which said that at the time of writing this holiday was still going ahead & that they have plenty of rooms to sell. On 19th we received a letter to say that the hotel had been sold, & that the holiday was cancelled, & that the hotel would be closing on 24th Nov. At no point prior to this was any there any mention that the hotel was up for sale. I emailed the Commercial Director to say how disgusted I was & that I considered the omission of any mention of the hotel being up for sale to be best under handed & at worst deliberately misleading. A couple of days later I received a voucher for £25.00 as compensation & the cancellation invoice for another person whose holiday to Scarborough had also been cancelled. I emailed them to say that I didn't want the voucher & that I had someone elses invoice & provided them with the name of the other person & the cancellation. I received a reply from them asking ME to SEND THEM the booking reference of the cancellation invoice so that they could send out another invoice to the other person. WHAT A NERVE !!!!!! Surely it is their job to look up the booking reference not to ask an already completely dissatisfied customer to do their work for them. They then sent me another £25 voucher & my cancellation invoice. Utterly useless I will never use them again.

Just got home from a weekend at the…

Just got home from a weekend at the sands Bournemouth never again
This is not our first time visiting have been a few times and other hotels but never experienced the awfulness.
Very sad how this hotel has gone down the driver was amazing very polite and friendly thank you Dan
The room very clean and warm thank you domestic staff for keeping it refreshed
Food omg some not as advertised I was given cauliflower and broccoli bake very nice no garlic bread as they forgot to cook it had cabbage that I wouldn’t give to my dog very discoloured also another day I had salad I’ve thrown better lettuce in my bin how a chef can serve this amazed me I could go on and on
Will never go again so sad it was once a beautiful place to visit

Food poor and slow to be served if you like carrots and peas you’re fine. Chose to go to Llandudno this time because I thought how good the meals were the last time we went and the service very disappointed. On a lighter note the room was fine and entertainment was good and staff very good enjoyed my break with you need to improve the food and service

Absolutely dreadful company

Absolutely dreadful company with total disregard for its customers. We booked a 5 day trip to their hotel in Blackpool back in October which they have now cancelled, it transpires that the hotel was sold in September but they continued to book customers. I understand that the sale may have fallen through however I as the customer am the one left out of pocket as we had booked theatre tickets for during our stay which are non refundable. Daish response is not our problem! A little transparency at the time of booking so that we could have made an informed decision would have been helpful. It transpires that the staff in the hotel knew in September that our trip wouldn't be going ahead. Use this company with caution. I am still waiting for my refund

Blackpool holiday

Nice on time coach .Had to change coaches but no problem, bags were swapped over for us .Hotel in Blackpool was disappointing from the out side .Once inside the reception, restaurant and bar area was clean and tidy .The room was ok .bed was comfortable nice clean sheets .Towels could do with being replaced as a couple were stained .The staff ( mostly young uni or college students) were absolutely wonderful.Always polite and happy ,nothing too much trouble .The staff made the holiday .Thank you .This was our first holiday with Daishs and for the money we paid was very good .Food was very nice ( chef please cook sprouts and cabbage more ,) all in all a lovely break .

Lovely break

Just heading home from a lovely break at Esplanade, Scarborough. Had a lovely sea view room and staff and entertainment were great. Very well organised with lots of information, including bus timetables and weeks planner available in reception. Hotel was a bit too hot but we were in an exceptionally warm spell of weather May have appreciated it more if it had been cold.

Google the company and look at the news articles

Genuinely can’t believe a company would fire someone because they’re a first responder with a first aid kit and a defibrillator on them, any genuine company would pay extra to the colleague for those skillsets, instead this company fires them, gives you a good indication of their intentions with customers. Would avoid and give them a Google and see the headlines and news. Should be embarrassed.

Just returned from The Barrowfield in…

Just returned from The Barrowfield in Newquay and just glad that it's over! Picked up by coach in Birmingham 45 mins late at 10:30 am, arrived in Newquay at 17:45 due to extra pick ups. Felt sorry for the driver who was being pushed to the limit. Once in the hotel we were informed the lift was not working but was due to be repaired soon. Aa my partner and I are in our eighties we requested a room with a shower, but we're given a shower over a bath, which we couldn't get into, so no proper wash for four days. The heating was pitiful with none at all in the bathroom until maintenance repaired it on the second day. Went for evening meal one day to be told the ovens had broken, so no hot food! Only soup and salad available.
Can't fault the driver but the schedule for his pickups was ridiculous and the hotel is lurching from one crisis to the next. We have been here several times before with Daish, but this will be the last!

After seeing the news article about a…

After seeing the news article about a driver getting fired for carrying a first aid kit and defibrillator and is trained to use it. I don’t think I’ll ever use any of your services after treating an employee like that. In my eyes it would be ideal to have a trained driver to have a first aid kit and defibrillator as if a emergency happens they know exactly what to do and have the equipment there ready terrible company on how they treat their staff.

This company should be ashamed of…

This company should be ashamed of themselves. They fired a driver “for multiple reasons” but the only major issue was that they carried a first aid kit and defibrillator on board with them. Less than 10% of people survive out of hospital cardiac arrests. Having effective CPR and a defibrillator on scene straight away greatly improves survival rates. This driver was trained in first aid and the use of a defibrillator. To fire someone because you wouldn’t want them using company time to save the life of a passenger or member of the public nearby is just ridiculous. I really, really hope that this gets dragged through the courts and this company, or pathetic excuse for a company, gets shut down. You do not deserve any of the profits your company makes. Give your heads a wobble. I’m sure you wouldn’t mind this is it was your loved one receiving life saving cpr from the driver..

Lovely rest in a nice hotel

The staff are absolutely brilliant at the barrow field hotel. Always helpful, nothing to much trouble . the room was really spacious and clean bed comfy I slept like a log(woke up in the woods)
Lovely all round view,had a storm for two days but that British weather still enjoyed it goo people an entertaining
