I have been to rotherham interchanges…

I have been to rotherham interchanges many times during the holidays I've been on yes it is confusing and yes some staff especially the younger generation alfa staff are unhelpful and rude. Last holiday I was on was to melrose xmas break we was over 2 and hours at the services station suitcases all over the place people in the cold and rain freezing weather we wasnt allowed to go on the coach until it left for grimsby until 6.45pm we was over 2 hours there at this service station no call outs only staff with clip boards just telling us to go back in the service station and wait we wanted to go home it was after 9pm before we got home. It could have been better handled and better dealt with especially when cases are left outside in the rain and cold and those poor passengers as well it should have call outs on coaches or drivers and staff to say to passengers that coaches are leaving at such and such a time no one should not tell us anything we dont know what time the driver wants us back on coach for no info is given out. It can be better prepared and better organized. It can be really confusing for some passengers. We got to the service station at about 4pm time and left for 6.45pm long time there with nothing to do at the rotherham service station we didnt get home to after 9pm after travelling from the hotel at after 9.30am maybe we could have left the hotel a bit earlier there was other coaches coming in late delayed long time I'm talking of over 2 3 hours late there are other passengers to think about as well some of us had long journey from other parts of the country and just wanted to get home and not wait about. Why cant alfa put on more coaches and taxis if there are longer delays more then two hours. There was one couple that had been waiting for the Grimsby coach from dunoon glasgow coach for nearly 3 hours all they wanted to do was go home not wait around not every body can wait especially when they got work or home commitments to go to it's not fair for other passengers to wait and wait delayed coaches

A well organised trip

Our first trip with Alpha, although we have travelled with all the other Coach companies from Aberdeen.

Well organised, and what we found different in a good way, was our coach driver Dave, was from the local area, unlike all our previous trips where our drivers were from Aberdeen…. So that little bit of local knowledge was brilliant.
Meals were superb, especially since I have a food allergy, which was actually displayed on our table, and a shout out to Kristina the lassie who looked after our meals, such a happy spirit!

Trip to Ilfracombe

We had an excellent, careful driver, very helpful at all times during our stay in Ilfracombe. He was polite, smart ,and good company.
As we were a party of older people he was very aware that some needed assistance and he was there to give it.

I am still sitting on the coach after…

I am still sitting on the coach after an hour waiting for a feeder bus , we have come miles out of our way to get to this services
The driver doesn't seem to have a clue what he is doing
I will have been sitting on the coach after the main journey for about 4 hours doing transfers
The whole process is massively badly managed
I will be reluctant to book with Alpha again after this experience

Wonderful Weymouth

Hello we travelled to Weymouth on 23rd February for 5 days . What a brilliant holiday, thank you Alfa holidays the hotel the Royal is beautiful our room was amazing, clean with amazing view , the dining room was big and the food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Dom our driver was knowledgeable and very funny and friendly. We loved it so much we’ve booked a 7 day for next April back to Weymouth. I can’t wait for our next trip in December to isle of wright . Thank you Alfa holidays for another wonderful experience

Very Poor, Unresponsive and Inflexible Customer Service

We have booked a number of Alfa Trips and after a particularly awful period last year we really needed a break so booked Bridlington in December. Unfortunately I became ill on the day of travel and couldn't travel. We weren't using the coach so notified Alfa straight away. I had a stomach upset and the GP would not issue a sick note for the insurers as they hadn't seen me. (they wouldn't see me until I had been symptomatic for several days and I have to say I would not have been happy to go into a GP waiting room and unneccessarily infect everybody else) I went backwards and forwards between customer service and the GP but got nowhere. We did not request a refund, we were very happy to rebook another date but Alfa just dug their heels in. Of course I completely understand their policies but in the instance of a bad tummy how can you possibly provide eveidence if the GP won't see you? I requested that Customer Service escalate to a senior manager to see if they would review and make an exception, especially as we had been such regular customers, but they refused. I messaged their MD on numerous occasions but was ignored. Not my idea of good Customer Service or espectful practice at all. We lost almost £600 as a result of this and will be going elsewhere in the future.

The trip to torquay was well organised

The trip to torquay was well organised. The metropole hotel was fab. Clean rooms, staff was welcoming. Entertainment every evening good and food very good. Our coach driver Nigal was also good at telling you what to see on days trips. Well done Alfa.

I had a lovely holiday and met some lovely people BUT

I h a lovely holiday and met some nice people. However my luggage was left behind at the hotel. To cut a long story short I was charged £35 which I refused to pay. Before this I had booked another holiday with them and I paid a £25 deposit which they took and cancelled my holiday . The ironary is that they have banned me for LIFE to travel with them. I was treated awful in every way. I would never ever book with them again.

Hi Val, we are sorry you felt to need to leave this review. We did bring back one of your cases back with you when you travelled home. As you did not tell our driver that you were travelling with two cases and you also decided to leave that second piece of luggage amongst other luggage that was being loaded on another coach bound for an entirely different part of the country, we did ask for you to pay for this second piece of luggage to be returned to you. You have not been banned from travelling with us for life, as you have stated. However, as we paid for the cost of getting your second piece of luggage back to you, so it was not delayed we have asked that you reimburse us for this cost before you travel on your next holiday.

Our coach driver Dominic was really friendly very informative about the places we went to every thing about this holiday to bournemouth was very good hotel was very good no complaints what so ever Dominic was a very good driver and he made friends with all the passengers he is a keeper from jill Wilson I will be back using alfa very soon xxx ☺️

Had a nice relaxing 5 day break at Royale Norfolk in Bournemouth from Mon,2nd Feb,Coach drivers,Michelle,and Alan were marvellous and kept us well informed.Hotel,absolutely A1.Good reception,good Staff all round.Meals,excellent,100% satisfied.Will return.😄👍🏻

Fun packed holiday

Have just returned today from a lovely UK coach holiday with Alfa holiday company. It was great fun, hotel de paris in Cromner provided excellent accommodation and food in a beautiful old hotel. Staff great too. Michelle was the driver and she kept us all entertained, spoiled us really! I was on my own but felt like I was with one big fun family. I ♥️ Alfa holidays.

We went to Western super mare over christmas while there I got this super flu was there 2 days was in bed 2 days on the fithe day we traveled home sad to say the manager in the hotel could not give a stuff about how ill I was hes said whats wrong with her to my husband brobably a head cold ive never felt so ill in my =76 years , so w e travelled back from the hotel I wire a mast all the way home when we got to the motorway services we were abandoned because the feeder couches were stuck on the M5 it was feezing cold and I was left sitting on a picnick bench feeling ill my husband rand Tamworth taxis to pick us up and take us home costing £131 im disgusted with Alfa we have had multipull holidays with alfa so dissapointed with the lack of care the bud driver could not give a stuff how ill I was did not even ask me how I was when we got off the coach lack of care was disgusting!!!!!!!!!!

New Year in Bournemouth

I went to Bournemouth for New Year. Great hotel. Unfortunately, the coach driver barely spoke and gave no information. Once he was off the coach, he was too busy vaping rather than helping the less abled passengers off the coach. During the journey there, I said I could feel cold air coming through. He said I shouldn't be able to feel it, but I said again that I could. He replied that he'd "sort it", but didn't. On the return journey, the coach was cold. One passenger asked if the heating could be switched on. He almost snapped that he had only just turned the engine on and that it takes time to warm up. I don't think anyone gave him a tip at South Mimms.

Two Things Prevented Five Stars

Christmas at Weymouth would have been perfect but for two unfortunate arrangements. The first was we were given a cosy double, we booked a standard double. Not enough room for two people. The second, we were not in the restaurant, we were in the reception/lift/stairs/outside door area. Cold and draughty. The Staff eventually locked the entrance door which made it slightly better. We booked 20th August, think we drew the short straw. Our friends had exactly the same arrangement in the next room.
