Terrible customer service on returns

I sent back an item at the beginning of February and had no correspondence from DD apart from auto generated tickets and no refund. After a few emails eventually with customer services I find out today that the item has been rejected for return due to marks on the gusset. Fair enough they sent photos and this is the case (my DD must have tried it on without pants and maybe there was no hygeine strip - I never noticed when I returned it) but it took 6 weeks to get that information and loads of emails.

I am sorry you are not happy with the communication from DD. I have traced the issue and spoken to Customer Services and they did respond in a timely manner. It may be that the emails they sent ended up in your Spam folder. We always try to sort out customer problems as quickly as we can but there may be occasions when things do not go as smoothly as they should but I hope this does not prevent you from using us again.

They don't know one size from the next.

They don't know one size from the next.
Website says one size the shoe size that comes is another neither are correct. So it boils down to ordering your shoes and seeing what you get.
But the worst thing is if the size is wrong (which it is very likely to be as Dance Direct admits that all manufacturers' sizes are different) they will charge you for the postage.
Better to use a company with a free returns policy that can describe their produce correctly.

This issue arose in March and I can see you had correspondence with our Customer Service Team at the time. I am sorry that the jazz shoes did not fit. The manufacturers all work to different sizing standards and we publish their sizing charts to try to help you get the correct size but are aware that this does not guarantee a perfect fit. The size you ordered was not a UK 11 as that shoe only goes up to a UK 10 and you were given a full refund for the shoes and free returns on the unwanted pair.

Service client injoignable: le tchat ne répond pas, le téléphone non plus, l'adresse mail de contact non plus,
et l'adresse mail pour les réclamations et litiges renvoie un message d'erreur, apparemment cette adress n'éxiste pas!
Pourtant mon paiement a été accepté sur le champ!
Est-ce une entreprise escroc??

Poor customer services. Will not use again!

Very poor! Ordered 3 pairs of dance shoes and the ballet shoes that I ordered were advertised with the wrong picture therefore were the incorrect shoe. Emailed customer services and was told to send them back as they did “free returns”. I complained that if I ordered new ones I would now have to pay postage and there was no acknowledgment of this from customer services. I even had to send two emails to get a response. This has been a huge inconvenience and I feel customer services are not bothered about keeping customers. Definitely will not use again.

False promises and bad customer service

I should have checked Trustpilot before ordering... They show reviews of their products on their website, but it turns out they filter them and only show the reviews of 4 stars or higher!!! This defeats the whole point of showing reviews of a product and makes it completely untrustworthy.

I ordered a mystery bag for size S, the product description described size S to translate to UK size 8 (clothing size). In the bag I received an item which was related to shoe size, where size S translated to shoe size UK 1.5-2.5, which was way too small for me and obviously not related to clothes size. You shouldn't include items based on a completely different measurement (shoe vs clothes) in a mystery bag. I could have received 5 items with "shoe size S" and the entire bag would have been worthless to me. I asked customer support if they could send me the correct shoe size item instead, or send me a different "surprise" item. Jennifer first replied that they'd request another item to be sent out and when I didn't hear anything for a while and asked for an update she said they couldn't send out a replacement item. Saying that they sent out the correct size... so expecting everyone with size S to have the same exact size feet? They also mentioned that the mystery bag's description mentions "leotards, tights and/or other dancewear". I would expect other dancewear to be hair accessories or toe spacers, if it does include footwear you should be able to select your shoe size as well as your clothes size when purchasing this mystery bag. All in all, very disappointing customer service and not taking responsibility at all - as well as hiding other bad reviews of the mystery bag on the product page.

The item that translates size S to shoe size 1.5/2.5 UK is Bloch Soleil Foot Glove. And I am not talking about overall website reviews, I'm talking about product specific reviews. Those are filtered on your product pages to only show 4 stars or higher... Also your overall ratings on (independent) Trustpilot are much worse, 32% one star reviews.

I am sorry you are not happy with the response you got to your complaint about the Mystery bag item. You do not mention what the item is that translates as shoe size 1.5-2.5. As explained to you the bags are randomly packed and cannot be returned or exchanged. The reviews on the website reflect the feed back that has been received for the bags. All Reviews are available for all to see if you select Reviews on the website and filter by the number of stars. Based on 5,590 active reviews 82% are 5 stars and only 4% are 1 star

Bad shopping experience

Bad shopping experience. The size of the tutu is not fit as mentioned in the size guide. When I raise refund, the appointed forwarder does not provided packing material as per request. I was told to put the tracking label on the carriage bag. However, Dance Direct reject the refund because of the label.

Probably, I lose the right of refund based on their T&C. When I ask for solution for any flexibility on my case, I cannot get any... My feeling is... they are making excuse on not providing refund. The refund is very difficult and disappointed.

Unfortunately the garments were returned to us in an unsaleable condition which is why we could not issue a refund. I can see there has been correspondence between our Returns Team and yourself. Please contact them if you want to pursue this matter.

GRANDE HESITATION .. QUE DOIS JE FAIRE?

voilà je me pose la question, est ce que je refais l'expériance? j'ai été très décourager, car je suis cliente avec mon école depuis des années, mais là ! le cout des frais de douanes , ca passe pas ! je ne peux rien calculer, je commande à l'euros prés et chaque dépassement c'est pour moi! pour ma pomme! donc je ne peux plus commander des justos dont le montant reste à l'appréciation des douanes.. mais je trouve des justos tellement sympa!! j'hésite .. mais vu les commentaires , je ne suis pas la seule!

Ce site est une escroquerie, ils m’ont envoyé la mauvaise taille, je ne peux pas renvoyer le colis pour être rembourser c’est une honte. Ils ne répondent pas aux appels ni aux mails. NE PAS COMMANDER sur ce site

Arnaque, site à fuir !!!

très satisfaite de ce site il y a quelques années, j’ai de nouveau commandé des articles de danse, pour plus de 300€. J’ai cru à un spam quand DHL m’a demandé de payer 125,50€ de frais de douanes. J’ai vérifié dans tous les sens et la demande était bel et bien réelle et je suis retournée sur le site et dans les CGV il était stipulé que l’entreprise se réservait le droit de nous facturer ces frais même si nous décidions de ne pas les payer et retourner les articles. Je n’ai donc pas eu d’autre choix que de régler ces frais de douanes et la facture était plus que salée. Aucun service après-vente n’est disponible ni par téléphone, ni par mail : ils ne répondent pas… bref une véritable arnaque, à fuir absolument ! Pour preuve, mon numéro de commande était le #11000039097, on ne sait jamais peut-être que j’aurais une réponse par ce biais. Heureusement les articles étaient bien, mais ils me sont revenus très très chers !

14€ de frais de douane pour une paire de chaussons de danse à 30€ +7,50€ de frais de port… une grosse arnaque… pas de réponse à mon mail, la ligne tél est en mode « indisponible pour le moment »…. Bref fuyez ce site marchant! Il faudrait d’ailleurs le dénoncer car à aucun moment lorsque l’on valide notre commande il n’est stipulé nul part que des frais de douane nous serons demandés à réception et contre échange de notre commande… une honte!

Abus : taxe douanière

Arnaque taxe e douane... En 2022

J'ai eu 12 euros de taxe douanière pour 27 euros d'achat. Je suis webmaster, je travaille dans le e-commerce, les sous pages sur les taxes douanières ça s'appelle de la pratique commerciale abusive... c'est honteux en 2022 et vos réponses toutes faites ... je passe et fais passer aux autorités françaises compétentes dont les principaux référenceurs.

Negative review to get a response and money back

This review is a last ditch attempt to get a response from this company before I peruse alternatives.

After having discussed with the company that to save time I’d like to order two sizes of the same thing and return the one that wasn’t needed to which they were quick to reply stating that was okay I went ahead and made an order.

When order arrived the first one tried on was absolutely fine so didn’t even bother opening the second one and sent back using the companies return label and tracking.

A week later the tracking confirmed the item had been delivered back to the company.

A week after that still no refund so I emailed the company to which I received no reply.

Again a week later I sent another email and still received no reply.

So far I have sent 3 emails and time lapsed is around 4 weeks.

They have no telephone number to ring only and email. I have even added my telephone number for them to call me.

Going to give it one more day before perusing alternative action.

Such a shame as I would have given 5 star as the delivery and quality of product was great however this experience is now awful as they have the product and my money!! Basically they currently have stolen my money, no other way of looking at it.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

****UPDATE****
Isn’t it amazing what a negative review on trustpilot does! After weeks of ignoring my emails; as soon as I put the negative review they replied within hours and miraculously the refund has appeared on my account today! Terrible that it took this method to get a response; they need to really improve on their customer service. Such a shame when the products are nice.

I have looked into the situation and can confirm that the order was delivered to you on the 10th June and your prompt return was dealt with on the 24th June, well within the 14 days we state on our website. The credit was processed and put back into your bank on the same day. I can see that you have sent an email to us and one of the customer service team has responded to you confirming the credit has been refunded. Thank you for your comments about the quality of the goods and our speedy delivery, I hope that this misunderstanding about the refund does not stop you from using us again.

C'est absolument scandaleux d'avoir la désagréable surprise de devoir payer des frais de port supplémentaires à la livraison (11€ pour une commande à moins de 20€...) Un des articles ne convient pas, on ne peux même pas le renvoyer sans à nouveau payer... J'aurai mieux fait de vérifier les avis avant de commander. Ce site a bien changé, et pas en bien. J'irai voir ailleurs désormais

J'ai eu la très désagréable surprise…

J'ai eu la très désagréable surprise d'être obligé de m'acquitter des frais de douane à hauteur de 12 euros pour une commande d'une vingtaine d'euros, c'est scandaleux de ne pas en être informé au préalable. Je ne commanderai plus chez dance direct.

Tumbleweeds from Dance Direct

I ordered a pair of dance shoes from DD on 6 February. The shipping time frame was 3-5 days. I emailed to chase them on 15 Feb and was told that it was a drop ship item and I needed to wait 14 days. I still haven't received a shipping update or my shoes as of 28 March. I have emailed again to chase up the shoes and/or request a refund and so far have had nothing back but tumbleweeds. I am not confident that I will receive either a refund or any shoes. Please don’t use this company- there are plenty of other better options.

Update 1 April - Have contacted Dance Direct via their contact form as email address doesn't appear to be working (although I assume it would be connected to their email inbox anyway). Tried to use quick chat function on their website. Pressed it several times and it doesn't work. No response, no shoes, no update whatsoever.

très déçue

Comme beaucoup d’autres très déçue car sur une commande de 28 euros , j’ai dû rajouter 12 euro à la livraison. Donc au final pas si intéressant que ça, je commanderai ailleurs…et surtout on ne voit que le zéro frais de douane sur la page et au final on paye 43% de frais et taxes…
