Absolutely DISGUSTED with this company…

UPDATE 19TH MAY . SO YOU DID NOT EVEN ASK ME FOR AN ORDER NUMBER . SHE JUST ASKED MY NAME AND SAID SHE WOULD TRY AND NOTHING ELSE . Shame it took a bad review here for you to do something but hopefully I will now get my shoes for Friday...............Absolutely DISGUSTED with this company and will never order from them again .If I could rate them minus I would I ordered ladies ballet shoes by mistake instead of child's . I sent them back asking for an exchange . They received the shoes back a week ago on the 11th and in my covering letter I stated that I MUST have them by this coming Friday the 22nd as I was going down to see my granddaughter this weekend who I had not seen for a year . That gave them a whole 11 days to send the replacement out .These shoes were part of her birthday present as I explained in my letter and she is only four . So I telephoned them and said if they could not guarantee them by this Friday then I request a refund so that I may order elsewhere . They then told me that they would TRY THIER best to give me a refund but that as I had requested an exchange they could not guarantee it . So now I am stuck as cannot order elsewhere and have no idea if my granddaughters birthday present will arrive in time . I am beyond disgusted with them . ZERO customer satisfaction. The girl on the phone could not care less and had no interest in trying to help but just said returns were taking 14 days at the moment.

Thanks for your message. I am afraid we weren’t able to resolve your exchange query following your call yesterday as we didn’t have an order number, which would have allowed us to investigate this further.

Following your email last night we have responded and advised on our next steps. We are particularly busy at the moment, and still working within strict workplace Covid restrictions, which has meant our exchange and returns process is taking slightly longer than usual. As advised this morning, we have managed to track down your exchange request and actioned this accordingly.

faulty product and terrible returns policy

I received my parcel in good time however the leotard has a thread loose right in the middle so looked cheap. I spent 30 mins trying to figure out their vague returns policy so now I have to pay full return for a leotard that is faulty. terrible service!!!

Beware of this company!!!
I purchased something that later returned it. They never gave me my money back although I didn’t notice at the time because it was a small amount. Five months later they contact me and tell me that they will not refund me because they say that I returned my item “late”. I tried to reason with them and explain that I had returned my item long ago but they refuse to cooperate. I had to pay for return postage too so I’ve really been left out of pocket by these people.
It seems to me like they operate like scammers do, they keep their product and your money too, what a way to keep a business. No wonder all the negative reviews.
Also the item that I ordered didn’t match the description in the website, it amazes me that they get away with all of this.

Thank you for your message. We have reviewed your order and your returns paperwork and can confirm we did not receive your returned parcel into our building until 9th March 2021.

We have extended our returns period to 60 days during Covid. However I am afraid your parcel arrived with us well after this cut off. As we have stated in our emails to you, as a gesture of goodwill we have issued you with the £9.95 credit for the returned portion of your order (the ballet shoes).

We have also noted that your returns paperwork does not mention anything about your item being incorrect and not matching the description on our website. If you had contacted us back in October when you received the item, we could have looked into the issue and possibly sent an exchange out. If you can let us know what the problem is with our listing, it would be much appreciated.

3 months and still waiting for part of my order!!!

I placed my order at the beginning of December, you can see my previous review. I am still waiting for one of the items I paid for in December. They have not contacted me, not apologised for the delay or contacted me to tell me when to expect it or offer me a refund. I am reluctant to call or email because they are always so rude.
Do not use the company!

Edit: Again a rude reply from this company, although the reply on here is all sweetness and light it is not a true reflection of their service. The emails I received were curt and I was not offered any other option, just we’ve refunded you.
I wasn’t informed it was out of stock until the order was accepted. They have not contacted me at all in the meantime of three months.
Although they say they have refunded me, there is no evidence of this, I have not received a refund

Thank you for your message. We have looked into your order and the item you are waiting for, and I am afraid the hair tin is still out of stock. Unfortunately we have had ongoing problems with the supply of these items.

As advised in our email to you in December, this item was out of stock at the time of your order, but you responded to say you were happy to wait.

I am afraid these hair tins are now not due into us until late May. We have emailed you this morning to advise that we have now refunded this item.

Offensichtlich eine relativ kleine, aber vetrauenswürdige und sehr freundliche Firma

Auf jeden Fall ein netter, seriöser und aufrichtig bemühter Händler. Einige Artikel konnten nicht geliefert werden. Die Rückerstattung, auch von Retouren, lief aber einwandfrei. Ich konnte den sehr freundlichen Kundenservice jederzeit erreichen. Man wird auf keinen Fall hängengelassen. Ich würde jederzeit dort wiederbestellen.

Really poor customer service

I purchased a pair of pointe shoes as a Christmas present for my daughter on the 25/11/2020. We were due to move house on the 18/12/2020 but, with nearly 4 weeks to go until then, I thought best to give my then address as the address for delivery. I then heard that the shoes had been despatched on the 15/12/2020 (a full three weeks after placing the order) to my home address. We were home all the time at that point as we were isolating. Nothing arrived. Nothing has arrived at our new address, to which we had all mail forwarded from the date of leaving the old address. Despite three e-mails to Dancewear Central's Customer Service division, I'm still without my daughter's shoes, although they deducted the full payment several days before even despatching them. Similar to other reviewers on this page, they've been brief to the point of being rude, unhelpful and unsympathetic. I will avoid using Dancewear Central in future: there are plenty of other options. They should take a long hard look at their Customer Services and Fulfilment Departments if they want to compete successfully with the rest of the market.

I am afraid we had no way of knowing your address had changed so these were despatched to the address on the order as soon as they arrived into us. Out of stock items are advised on our website at the time of order when you select the product. This is very common within the dancewear market with many of our competitors allowing back orders to be placed if an item is out of stock for a short amount of time. Unfortunately as your order was sent out on our first class service, rather than the UK tracked service, we don't have any way of tracking your parcel. We are hopeful that if you have a redirection service in place, this parcel will be delivered to your new address in due course. We are very sorry to hear you are unhappy with the communications you have had with our Customer Service team . We have reviewed the 2 emails (16th December and 26th December) we have received from you and the replies from our customer service team, and we are happy that the replies you received were helpful. So much choice and excellent customer…

So much choice and excellent customer service. I was unsure about whether or not something I was ordering was suitable for what I wanted, so I spoke to the really helpful customer service team who couldn't have been nicer, and really went out of their way to help me. Delivery was fast, and returning something (I ordered 2 sizes) was also painless!

After seeing the reviews I was really nervous as explained in below but the team was so lovely and contacted me personally on the phone to say an item was out of stock and the rest would be delivered as normal and theyl dispatch my other item when in comes in. Was delivered within 2 days and everything fitted perfectly and was in good condition

Finger weg von diesem Händler

Finger weg von diesem Händler! Die Größen können nicht richtig sein. Meine Tochter ist 6 Jahre. Ich habe Trikots in der Größe 122-128 (7-8 Jahre) bestellt. Diese waren viel zu klein, sodass ich diese leider retounieren musste. Die Rücksendekosten sind nicht gerade gering, da es leider nach England ins Lager zurück geschickt werden muss. Bei mir waren es fast 20 Euro für Ware die nicht passt. Ich hätte keine Chance gehabt, die Artikel zu behalten. Im Vergleich zu den deutschen Trikots in 122-128 sind diese bestimmt 2 Größen kleiner.
Der zweite Punkt ist, die Rückerstattung des Geldes hat sich über 8 Wochen gezogen und das obwohl ich unzählige Mails und Telefonate geführt hatte. Wer weiß, wie lange es noch gedauert hätte, ohne die ständige Kontaktaufnahme meinerseits. Es hat mich sehr viele Nerven gekostet, geschweige denn das unnötig investierte Geld für die Rücksendung. Immerhin hat die Rückerstattung dann doch noch geklappt. Ich hatte schon nicht mehr daran geglaubt.

We are really sorry that on this occasion your order has taken longer than usual to arrive. As we explained in our emails to you, your parcel left us on 29th August with Royal Mail. We use their first class service and most of the time our customers' parcels arrive with them within 1 to 3 days of despatch from our warehouse. Occasionally deliveries do take longer and on very rare occasions get lost in the postal system. Royal Mail do advise that we do need to leave 10 working days until we report an item as lost, and commence the claims process with them.

Once again we are sorry that on this occasion your delivery has taken longer than expected.

my order has never been delivered

my order has never been delivered! allegedly sent twice and lost on the post! The customer service wanted to send replacement. Upon request, no confirmation of delivery could be issued! That’s not a serious company. I never had such an experience in my life bevor...

I ordered shoes

I ordered shoes : after 1 month i still don't get them and have no idea of where they are ! The customer sce told me to wait ! i even don't get a tracking number so no shoes and no refund of course ! Very disapointed...it was the 1st time i ordered through that site, and surely be the last one....

Disappointing customer service

Super quick service but the backpack I ordered was much smaller than expected. I returned it but postage costs for sending and returning were not refunded. It cost me £6 in postal costs and I have absolutely nothing to show for it.

The sizes are incorrect

I needed a light blue level 1 leotard for my daughter who is 4 nearly 5. I found this site just by googling and ordered age 5-6 as they only had 3-4 5-6 and 7-8.

My daughter is a small 4 nearly 5 year old but I thought I can’t get a 3-4 so ordered the 5-6 thinking it will last her.

The delivery was quick and I didn’t try it on straight away as we didn’t need it for a few weeks. A few days before her first lesson back at ballet after the summer I tried it on and she kept complaining how it was hurting her in the crotch area. The leotard was tiny wouldn’t even fit a 3 year old never mind a 5-6 year old.

I checked the label to see if maybe it was sent out incorrectly maybe they sent a 3-4 it said size one I emailed the company to clarify what size 1 meant an they assured me that was a size 5-6. My daughter is still in age 3-4 clothes so I know the sizing was wrong. When I expressed my concern to the customer services they said to return and I can swap for the 7-8!!! Couldn’t believe I was ordered my small 4 year old an age 7-8 leotard but I just went with it. Once they received the leotard back I was waiting for my new one but they said due to the label being taken off they can’t refund me. I think this is madness considering the sizing is all wrong. We only tried it on and th the label was off I can only guess my daughter pulled it off when we were trying it on.

Very disappointed with the outcome of this return and I can’t be the only person who thinks the sizing is incorrect and advertised incorrectly. They will not give me a refund and I haven’t received the tiny leotard back.

I needed a leotard for my ballet exam …

I needed a leotard for my ballet exam in June and after a lot of searching for a basic one I found this site.
I saw one I liked but it didn't state if it was lined or not, as it can decide what size to go for. I emailed the company in the evening and they replied the following morning.
My order was placed on Wednesday and it arrived on Saturday, three days later.
The leotard was exactly as pictured and fitted well.
Will definitely order from them again.
