An exceptional journey from Viana do Castelo to Santander

After a difficult and unexpected start to our trip, our journey with Daytrip from Viana do Castelo to Santander turned everything around.

Our driver, Jorge, was absolutely wonderful. He arrived early, was professional and reassuring from the very beginning, and made the long journey across Spain feel effortless. Travelling with two children, I particularly appreciated how comfortable and relaxed he made us all feel.

What could simply have been a long transfer became one of the highlights of our trip. Jorge was incredibly kind, thoughtful and interesting, and we had such an enjoyable conversation that the hours genuinely flew by. He also went above and beyond to make the journey pleasant for the children.

This was our first experience with Daytrip, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the service. The booking and transfer itself were straightforward, but having such an exceptional driver made all the difference.

We arrived in Santander relaxed, happy and feeling very well looked after. A huge thank you to Jorge for turning what could have been a stressful journey into such a memorable one.

James Park picked us up promptly as arranged from Seoul for our destination to Jeonju via Suwan. We stopped to explore Suwan a little, has lunch at a restaurant at James’ recommendation and then drove onto Jeonju. James was a careful driver and a good conversationalist. We very much enjoyed our day with him and would strongly recommend him.

I had a transfer booked from Heathrow airport to Hastings on Wednesday 2nd Sept. I had a fantastic driver Belal U. He was a very good driver and also great company on the drive from Heathrow to Hastings. It was overall a terrific experience.

My driver was Dragar from Croatia. He was friendly & helpful from the first communication.
His car was clean & he was a safe driver. We chatted away like friends and he provided water for me on a hot day.
His attitude was “give the customer what they want” which I liked. As a mature aged traveller I enjoyed the way he looked after me on the trip. I felt very safe and he was patient waiting for me to see the sights on my stop over. I would thoroughly recommend him for any DAYTRIP. He made the journey very enjoyable and looked after me superbly. Particularly helping me with my suitcases in Venice which was a worry for me, getting to my hotel. He even phoned later to make sure I arrived safely! What more could you want!

I book a transfer from Rome Airport to Florence in April 2026 for travel August 2026, Someone there put a City in Italy and my pickup point as Rome Airport, 6 days before my trip I received a message that I had changed my pickup point (which I did not) and the new pickup point (Rome Airport) was going to cost an additional 182 euros! I don’t know about the area around the airport because I have never been to Italy, I thought the city that had been added (them) was where the Airport was! The only good thing I can say about DayTrip is they honored their refund policy!

Abdur was amazing. He picked us up on time, was extremely professional, and had great suggestions that enhanced our trip considerably. We started in Killarney, stopped in Adare and Kildare, and made it to Dublin early and happy. Would definitely recommend Abdur and this service.

We booked a private car excursion from Tangier to Asilah. I also requested a stop at Paradise Beach, which wasn't included in the transfer.
Iliass, the driver, was extremely polite and punctual, and fully accommodating of all our requests. We had a really great experience.

Booking with Daytrip was an excellent experience from beginning to end. I booked late in the evening at the last minute, and a driver was secured shortly after — communication throughout was excellent. My driver, Paulo, was on time, greeted me warmly, and took a moment to ask my dog's name and say hello to her, which felt genuinely thoughtful. He helped with my belongings and got us comfortably settled in the car. The drive to Lisbon was relaxing, and I'm so grateful this service was available for a last-minute trip - and a dog friendly service at that. I can recommend Daytrip, and if you're lucky, you'll have Paulo as your driver taking care of you.

After a very long flight from Australia, I still had to transfer from Frankfurt airport to Kassel. Mohamed B. was waiting at the airport for me with a big smile and such wonderful, positive energy. We chatted the whole way to Kassel and the time flew by. I learnt so much about Germany in the little over 2 hour trip. Mohamed was positive, engaging and informative. He is from Frankfurt and knows the area well. I would highly recommend him for any future trips you have organised. Thank you Daytrip and Mohamed. Definitely worth a 5 star rating.

Very bad experience

We used Daytrip 3 times on our trip through Albania and Greece. Once because no bus was available, and twice because it saved us stress of driving in foreign country. Each driver was on time, drove very safely and had clean and comfortable cars. Do your own maths but was not much more than to car hire.

We used daytrip for travelling between Constanta and Varna. We had a great day and our driver Daniel was the very best! He was very generous and told us about the local history. He was also an efficient driver and managed to find all the shortcuts.

I’m writing to review our driver, Erick, who took two of us from Puerto Princesa Airport to El Nido on July 12 — and I want to be direct with you up front: Erick is the single best driver either of us has ever had, in any country, and we’ve traveled a lot. If Daytrip has any mechanism for recognizing exceptional performance — points, bonus, raise, driver-of-the-month — he should receive all of it.

Some context on why this ride mattered: we had been rerouted to Puerto Princesa on short notice after a typhoon closed the El Nido airport, and we were racing a 5:45 PM resort ferry. We didn’t clear the PPS airport until 1:00 PM. Erick was calm, professional, and fast where it was safe to be — he would have had us at the Lio Jetty by 4:30 PM, a pace I wouldn’t have believed possible on that road. (The ferry ended up cancelled by the Coast Guard through no fault of his — but he’d done his part with time to spare.)

Here’s what elevated it from a great transfer to the highlight of a difficult day. When the ferry cancellation removed our time pressure, Erick transformed the drive into a private tour of Palawan. He narrated the landscape as we went — the towns, the agriculture, local life and history — with genuine knowledge and obvious pride in his island. He stopped at a scenic overlook and took photos of us. He chose a wonderful spot for lunch, walked us through the local dishes, and told us to take all the time we needed — never once did we feel rushed or managed. He made a second comfort stop without us asking.

One moment sums Erick up better than anything else. I had a dry cough bothering me that day, and I joked quietly with my friend — not to him — that post-pandemic, coughing in public still feels embarrassing. Minutes later, without my ever asking or even addressing him, he pulled over at a roadside stall, hopped out, and came back with a handful of local cough drops for me. He had been paying attention the entire time — not just to the road, but to his passengers — and acted on it quietly, without making a fuss. I have never felt so genuinely considered by someone in a service role. That instinct cannot be trained. You either have it or you don’t, and Erick has it

Then, when we reached El Nido, he went far beyond the booking: he drove us through town pointing out his recommendations, got us out onto the beach for photos, did the same again at Lio Beach, and only then delivered us to our hotel — handling every bag, every time.
The small details were just as flawless: his van was immaculate, smelled fresh, and was kept at a perfect temperature, and in the natural lulls in conversation he played good music at just the right volume. He is friendly, funny, and charming without ever being intrusive — he read the moment perfectly, every time, for almost six straight hours.

We arrived at Seda Lio feeling like we’d gained a day of vacation rather than lost one to a typhoon. That is entirely Erick’s doing.
Please make sure this review reaches his file and whoever evaluates him. We will specifically request Erick for any future Daytrip booking in Palawan, and we’ll be recommending him by name to friends traveling there.

We had an excellent experience with our driver, Emanuele. He was professional, friendly, and extremely accommodating throughout our journey. He picked us up from the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Amalfi and drove us to Naples Airport in a spotless, comfortable car.
Anyone familiar with the Amalfi Coast knows how challenging the roads can be—narrow, winding, and filled with cars, buses, and motorcycles. Emanuele handled the drive with exceptional skill and confidence, making us feel safe and relaxed the entire way.
Beyond being an outstanding driver, he was also wonderful company. My husband and I enjoyed great conversation with him throughout the trip, which made the journey even more enjoyable.
